Pheonixice and Spottedpaw
Spottedpaw blinked, somewhat relieving herself of the powerful emotion threatening to release itself. Her green eyes were dull and emotionless as she stared at Petalpaw's cold...breathless....corpse. Spottedpaw sniffed and congratulated Shiftpelt for her new rank, offering a small smile. Her tail drooped as she made her way in to the apprentice's den, yearning a peaceful sleep. She curled up into her cold but comforting nest, falling asleep almost instantly.]Pheonixice straighteneed her snow back, her eyes sharp like icy shards as she returned from her thoughts, into reality. Her mind had been reeling at the events that had made there selves clear. Petalpaw and Minnowkit...died...Phoenixice knew she had to be strong for the....for her clan...for Dragonfire. She grinned and mewed a response to her fiery sister.] "Oh, sure, we are going to get the best fish the clan has ever seen! Also, don't worry about Minnowkit and Petalpaw...they are in a truly better place...paradise." [Phoenixice began to follow Dragonfire,w anting to escape the death filled scent in camp.

The thought of the taste of salmon itself was enough to get the she cat rallyed up, she loved fish soooo very much!] "Thanks Pheonixice, don't worry about me, i will be fine... now. Her ears perked to hear the familiar tone of a certain clan mate that caused her fur to perk. Of course, it was Foxfire. However she couldn't shoot glares at him, especially if her sister is okay. Surprised Echosong was, Spottedpaw wasn't even ordered to do a single elder's chore as a punishment. SeaClan sure is a mystery for the she-cat.] "A request for border patrol?" Echosong repeated, her right eye sinking down in a bit of suspicion. [Echosong's eye then raised to the same level of her other deep blue eye. She wasn't really fit for border patrol, instead she was best at catching little critters that will fill the stomach of her clan mates. But by the looks of it, it seemed like Mosstar instructed the tom to form a patrol. Foxfire was a faithful SeaClan warrior after all. Besides, after the whole conflict with the snakes and beasts, the she-cat didn't blame the warrior for doing a border check. The slightest scent of intruders only made her own fur p***k. With a swift motion, she raised herself up and let her paws lead her out of the den, shimmery sapphire eyes glimpsing back at Foxfire.] "Let's hurry then, I don't want to leave Spottedpaw alone in the camp for too long." Echosong confessed, turning her gaze back. [Her paws swiftly led her past the entrance of camp, her eyes quickly locked on the area where the snakes were last spotted. The thought of their shiny scales caused Echosong's eyes to glitter. She found their scales quite interesting yet drenched with venom. You never know when a snake is hungry, even the slightest vibrate of their stomach will cause them to sink their fangs in an innocent kit's flesh. Wait snakes? Why thinking of them at a time like this?! This isn't a time to think of snakes, it's time to make sure they fleed out of our territory! Echosong wanted to get this over with.
That way she can go back to camp, and have a bite to eat. (DRAMATIC IRONY!)
The she-cat's eyes shined as she peered her head behind some rocks. Their rough surface sharp enough to impale her. With a cautious growl, her eyes went into a frown as she looked around the rough area. It looked dark, very unpleasant.] "I wasn't expecting it to be this spooky outside of camp." Echosong commented, as she continued to search around the area. [Her ears pricked by a faint sound. Whipping her gaze to the source of the sound, her eyes only detected the small pebbles that sinked into the spacious ocean. With shaky paw-steps, Echosong padded to the dead end of the ground. Her eyes looked down at the ocean, very deep and far from her paws. Forcing down a uncertain gulp, she peered down at the water. It glimmered with vibrant colours but has abilities to kill any living creature if it wanted to. The crashes of vicious waves caused her heart to beat out of her chest, trying to warn her about something. But alas, she ignored it. Then her eyes went into a deeper frown, lifting her chin up and gazing into the distance. Her ears laid flat against her head.] "Foxfire," she called in a smooth tone. "I spot no intruders nor snakes around this area, how about we go back to camp?" Echosong suggested, with an uncertain tone. [Her whiskers twitched nervously as her eyes gazed around the area she currently stood on, that was far from camp.]
[The elderly she-cat let out uneven breaths, constantly breathing as if something was clogging her airway. Of course, it was the feeling of despair that was suffocating her slowly. With a small cough it loosened, allowing the leader to breathe in the salty air once more. With a deep sigh, Mosstar raised her golden gaze up at her daughter's brilliant blue ones. What beautiful colours her eyes contained, bringing warm and comforting feelings to the old mother's heart. Mosstar tried to control her depression, not wanting to bring down her own daughter's feelings. Straightening her back, lifting her chin up but locking her gaze with her daughter's gentle ones, she smiled down at her, like a true mother would.] "Of course, we must finish your assessment! Don't forget, Griffonpaw. Poppyfoam is smiling down at us with proud eyes indeed, watching you intently and eagerly waiting for you to become a great warrior! Come my daughter, let's finish that assessment of yours and show Poppyfoam that we are strong and love her deeply! " Mosstar purred with pride, making her way towards the entrance. [The SeaClan leader then remembered something, wanting to instruct Foxfire to carry out an errand. Of course, since he was a faithful SeaClan leader, he has the right to help the leader out. Isn't that right? Mosstar believed so. She stopped in her tracks to scan the area for Foxfire, wanting him to form a patrol to look around the borders, killing away any intruders that still remain in her beloved territory. Maybe some warriors can assist him, but Mosstar believed the tom didn't need any help. But what was this? He isn't in camp? Not surprising, Foxfire was always here and there. That warrior will never stay in once place. A grin formed on Mosstar's lips, not bothering to find her warrior. She'll let him be. Besides, while she monitor Griffonpaw's assessment she can have some time to look around the border herself. With a small chuckle, Mosstar turned her gaze and started past the entrance, oblivious of Echosong's absence in camp.] ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ▃▃ ♩XXHEAR MY WORDS THAT I MAY TEACH YOUXX♩ ♪XXTAKE MY ARMS AND I MIGHT REACH YOUXX♪ ♫XXBUT MY WORDS LIKE SILENT RAINDROPS FELLXX♫ ♬XXAND ECHOED IN THE WELLS OF SILENCEXX♬

ғ ѳ җ ғ i я є ______________________________ "Evil is often much closer...than one would expect." "Sure, we'll be back as soon as we finish, it shouldn't take long." [Foxfire said with a confident nod as he followed Echosong out of camp. He mentally scoffed at her words about not wanting to leave Spottedpaw alone n camp for too long. Oh no, not for too long, for Foxfire would go back for that she-cat once he was done with Echosong. Following behind the she-cat, he sniffed carefully behind rocks and long blades of grass,He was watching her from the corner of his eye, waiting for the perfect chance to strike. She was distracted now, but they were too close to camp so their yowls and hisses might still be heard. He decided to wait a while, trotting right behind Echosong until they came to the edge of Seaclan territory, where the ocean was. The waves crashed against the rocks, beautiful but deadly, able to kill any living creature. Yes, any living creature from this height if it was dropped down.
Echosong's voice suddenly snapped him out of his thoughts, and he turned to the she-cat with a nod. "No, I don't smell anything either, it should be safe to head back." He said in an equally smooth tone, padding up to Echosong...and without any warning, he suddenly pounced on top of her, snapping his jaws around the back of her neck where the head joined the skull, using his larger size to crush her. After he pinned her down, he snarled and locked his jaws around her throat, trying to tear the throat out.] "Time to go back...without you, my dear." ______________________________

A heavy weight pinned her down, the sight of long fur caught her eyes. Foxfire! That vile tom, she knew there was something uncertain about him! Faithful to SeaClan, that was all an act! He was sly alright, but a savaged rat! With a loud hiss, Echosong tried to struggle out of his grip. The slightest movement would cause her neck to snap from the strong grip of his jaws. Her heart pumped blood with frightful beats. Echosong's eyes grew sharp nervously. Right now Foxfire was leading this fight, Echosong was simply the weak prey that will end up in the jaws of a fearful predator. The more she struggled, the more her neck shifted in an uneasy position. Her sharp movements caused her to drift closer to the cliff that lead to the large body of water.] "Foxfire, you traitor! Not to me but to Mosstar! The leader is growing weak, her powers are slowly being drained. However, when she finds out the one, faithful warrior she relies on, is betraying his clan then she will become weaker! Do you feel the slightest remorse you fiend?!" Echosong cried. [Echosong's gaze could only focus on the thick ocean below her white paws, causing her fur to p***k with fright. This seemed to be her final paw-steps, sight and breath. Never will she be living again, for her death has come to take her to StarClan. An unpleasant death it was, but the she-cat didn't care anymore.] "Kill me, sink your claws into my flesh and spill my crimson blood on this very ground. Kill me quickly or slowly, I could not care less. Pain of innocent clan cats clearly don't matter to you, or they're just your main source of amusement and entertainment. But don't forget these words, Foxfire... Echosong said, in a smooth and gentle tone. [Her eyes grew sharp with hatred, not being able to turn back to look him dead in the eyes. The gentle and beautiful shade in her eyes grew ugly, lifeless and lacked spirit. With a cold, satanic and quiet whisper, she spoke.] "You can't hide for long. Not only will you see the vibrant colours of my blood but you will spot yours eventually. SeaClan will get you, with hate in their eyes. However if you manage to live and escape the troubles you caused, then I will make sure you eventually rot and let the rats feed on your lifeless body. And once you enter the beautiful StarClan, that's where we will meet again. By then, I will wait for your presence and make sure you don't enter the peaceful homes of StarClan. As consequence, I promise you'll experience never-ending torture, by the contacts of my own claws."

In matters of style, swim with the current; In matters of principle, stand like a rock. "It takes courage, To grow up and become who you really are" [Shiftpelt took a moment to regain her composure. Deputy. Her. What in StarClan's name had made Mosstar choose her? She shook her head slightly. Her heart fluttered with excitement, obviously she had done something right. The she-cat glanced around camp as the cats dispersed. Dragonfire and Phoenixice were apparently going hunting, while Foxfire and Echosong where leaving together.]
He probably should have been deputy... she told herself, He is a good tom... (Dramatic Irony! And for all those Othello fans, Oh honest, honest Iago!)
[Shiftpelt looked again at the bodies in the middle of the camp. They would always be missed, but they would also be in StarClan. and who knows, perhaps they would miss SeaClan and all the warriors. Despite the situation she couldn't keep a happy glint from her eyes. She stood and turned, padding to the entrance of camp and looking out. Tails were disappearing in the distance. They were making good time.]
[Back in the camp, the deputy made her way to her leader, whom was just exiting the camp. It seemed Griffonpaw's assessment was still scheduled. Perfect. What better thing to brighten the mood than an apprentice becoming a warrior?]
"Mosstar, if I may? Perhaps you would allow me to tag along during Griffonpaw's assessment?" she said, memories of both her and her former apprentice's assessments flooding her already churning mind. To be nobody but yourself in a world That's doing its best to make you somebody else, Is to fight the hardest battle You are ever going to fight. Never stop fighting.

[Foxfire's eyes were cold as pieces of flint as she pinned down the hapless she-cat, his lips curling up into a triumphant smile. He watched as rivulets of blood ran down her neck from the wound in her throat, it wasn't fatal but it was enough to weaken her, enough for him to push her over the edge. She seemed determined to speak her last words, and he would allow her to - it would only increase his pleasure in killing even more.] "Remorse? You're mistaken, Echosong...there is no remorse in achieving your own goals. Mosstar weakens by the day, and her death will bring Seaclan closer to my paws. Not to mention, I have one more asset on my side now. I shall not see you in Starclan, Seaclan will be mine, and it will rise to power like never before. I have learnt from the mistakes of cats in the past, and I shall not make the same ones. I shall succeed, and you shall watch helplessly from Starclan, along with all those who opposed me. Goodbye Echosong, may you rest in peace." [With another triumphant grin, Foxfire gave her weakened body one mighty push, watching as her snow-white form plummeted into the savage waves of the ocean. No living thing would survive a fall like that. With a satisfied smile, Foxfire trotted towards a small and narrow stream nearby, dipping his muzzle in the shallow water and washing the blood off himself. It wasn't a hundred percent clean, but that was the best he could do.]

 M o s s t a r ----------------------------------------------------------- ((Mwahaha the time has come! >8D ))
[The salt-scented air was all she could breathe in, due to the large body of ocean. Mosstar looked down at the ocean as she strolled by the risky cliffs. Small clumps of sharp rocks would fall as Mosstar's passed by with her weak paw-steps. Quickly, she ran her dry tongue along the rough and dry surface of her lips. The ocean's scent was strong indeed. However without the ocean, SeaClan wouldn't be able to carry its unique scent. The large ocean is deffinately a piece of nature's art that SeaClan must be grateful of. Mosstar turned her shimmery golden gaze back at Griffonpaw, her beloved daughter. With a loving motherly smile, she spoke: "Griffonpaw, as we walk i'd like to tell you something. I feel this is the best opportunity to speak." Mosstar started. With a deep breath, she exhaled with comfort. Indeed SeaClan was a great home. All the faithful warriors she had by her side (DRAMATIC IRONY). However she was furious. Very furious. Why didn't Griffonpaw enter Mosstar's youthful life instead? The leader admits that her lifespan is very short. Either way, she will cherish the remaining moments with her loving daughter. Not just for herself, but for her dear sister. Foampoppy. "Foampoppy is a great sister of mine, my only sister in fact. And I must say that the morals she taught you proves that she was indeed a great mother. Ah Foampoppy, if only I can see her right now. The day when I was giving birth to my kits, I was happy indeed. Wanting to see those beautiful and innocent eyes of all my kits. But once I heard the news of Foampoppy stealing you away from me, I couldn't enjoy that day without the two most important cats of my life. Although Foampoppy committed such a sinful act, I can't feel the smallest anger towards her. Even if I tried. She was my only sister. I couldn't hold a grudge on her for all I know. But I do have to admit, you were lucky Griffonpaw. You had the chance to see her beautiful face once more before StarClan took her away from our possession. How much I want to see her once more. But soon I will. And don't deny it my daughter, for my life is being eaten away like the vicious teeth of a warrior feeding on a lifeless prey. But I am quite satisfied since I had the chance to spend this remaining time with you, Griffonpaw." Mosstar mewed. [A tear formed in her right eye and gradually fled.] "Your such a loving daughter, Griffonpaw. StarClan couldn't have made a more beautiful she-cat. I'm lucky that I spend this time with you. And do not worry, for when I leave this beautiful place, I will see her once again. Foampoppy. We will again act like sisters up in StarClan. We'll discuss your state, your improvement in training and your bright and beautiful self. But most significantly, we will protect you no matter what. What i'm trying to say is..." Mosstar looked at her daughter before she spoke further.
"Me and Foampoppy love you, Griffonpaw. I appointed Shiftpelt as deputy only because I know she can protect you personally. We will always protect you, including SeaClan itself. In return, just enjoy the life you currently hold right now." Mosstar said in a loving tone. [Her golden eyes shimmered from the tears. Quickly she blinked them away. Crying like a fool won't make her daughter happy. Afterwards, she let out a small, wheezy chuckle.] "I'm fine." she purred happily. [Then with a big smile, she looked down at Griffonpaw.] "Now let's go get that assessment of yours done!" Mosstar yowled with confidence. [The jet-black she-cat ran ahead with a small chuckle. Her whiskers tried twitching and warning the elderly she-cat. However the she-cat didn't need to know, for she was entering the tramatic scene that will affect her heart deeply. Mosstar's eyes grew wide as ever as she skidded to a stop. The warm, ocean scent was filled with the thick smell of blood. Pure blood. Mosstar's nose twitched. Her mind was filled with nothing but shock. She starred at the one warrior she thought she could trust. His fur stained with crimson red blood. The blood of an unknown cat. The sight caused Mosstar to stumble, losing her footing and strength. She was feeling the unpleasant mixture of depression, betrayal and anger. Her pupils grew sharp fiercly as she glared at Foxfire. Mosstar's lips pulled back into a snarl, baring her teeth in warning. Her slightly stained yellow teeth pressed against each other, trying to relieve the stress she currently felt.] "F-Foxfire..." she hissed, mostly in shock. [With a loud and vicious growl, she stomped her front paw on the rocky ground. Mosstar didn't release this much anger in her life.] "What is the source of those specks of blood?" Mosstar asked in a stuttering hiss. [However her patience was short, she roared in anger.] "Answer me!" Mosstar roared furiously. [No, she couldn't see anymore death. No more! More painful woes will only take away the short life within the leader. Especially the sight of betrayal from one of her warriors.]

ғ ѳ җ ғ i я є ______________________________ "Evil is often much closer...than one would expect." (This is something I thought of on the spot XD And I think it's something Foxfire would do...)
[Foxfire's head snapped up sharply when he heard Mosstar and Griffonpaw's voices approaching, his eyes widening as he realised they were quickly coming his way. The whole scene still stank of Echosong's blood...and Mosstar was bound to find out. Thinking quickly on the spot, Foxfire found a jagged rock on the ground and quickly swiped his foreleg over it, wincing but biting back a growl of pain as he gave himself a long, bleeding cut. It wasn't too deep, but at least it bled - should be able to fool Mosstar.
As Mosstar confronted him and demanded him explain the blood, Foxfire flattened his ears and looked up at Mosstar with an innocent expression, as well as making no attempt to hide the pain in his foreleg. He held it up, showing the cut on his foreleg as well as pointing to the slightly bloodied and jagged rock he had cut himself. "Uh, sorry Mosstar, I was to clumsy and didn't look where I was going...and slipped onto the rock. Sorry if that...displeased you." He flattened his ears and looked up at Mosstar with a pained expression, pretending that he was trying to mask his pain. He hadn't let Echosong spill too much blood before pushing her over the cliff, so hopefully the scent of his own blood would mask hers - for now, at least.]

Do gales of peace blow out the flames or spread them faster on their way? GriffonpawFemale | Rogue | Single | Bio | StorytellerLost and foundforsake me nowor let me return home! [Griffonpaw blinked at her mother, listening attentively to her feet. Her eyes softened at her mother's mention of her age, and she couldn't help but shake her head. She let her mother finish speaking before she spoke herself.] "I know that you might be older than I thought," she mewed gently, "But you still have many moons, I think! Don't worry about dying momma, I'm here now and we'll make the best of it!" [At the mention of her assessment, Griffonpaw jumped to her feet, eyes sparking with joy. Her fur immediately floofed out with excitement and she literally bounced around her mother, losing her cool and comforting composure in an instant.] "YAAY!" she yowled victoriously, "LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO!"
[She zoomed out of camp with unmistakable zeal, claws extended with determination. She would pass this assessment and make her mother proud! She veered away from her mother instantly, quickening her pace before slowing down and dropping into a crouch (as if she had forgotten to at first...). Her tail twitched ever so slightly before she stalked stealthily among the rocks. Her fur was a dead giveaway to prey, but she was slithering stealthily up a slope that was downwind. There was a rabbit feeding at the top of the hill; she could smell its mouth-watering scent and gave thanks to StarClan for providing such rare prey. She dashed behind a rock for cover, poking her head over to eye her prey. It was munching on a sweet flower that had grown in the scraggly field with cautious fear glinting in its beady eyes. Griffonpaw wiggled her rump expertly, keeping lower to the ground than the roots of the trees, and pounced. After a short spurt of a chase, she'd nabbed the rabbit and stood triumphant with it hanging from her jaws.
She buried it near the base of a tree so she'd remember it and set off again, this time towards the earthier terrain of SeaClan. Her eyes glinted with determination and she flexed her claws, eager to do her best. Several moments later, she had a a vole and a crow, both caught in succession. It was a good day for hunting and she picked the perfect spot. Although all of her prey were bony (and she'd missed several catches along the way), she had done well. She looked around for her mother's black pelt but didn't see anything. Gathering all her prey, including the hidden rabbit, she headed back for SeaClan. She assumed her mother would reveal herself once she made it clear she was finished, but nobody emerged from the bracken. Slightly discouraged, she wondered if her mother disproved of her load and wished for her to hunt some more. She paused, deliberating, then decided a few more catches wouldn't be a bad idea (especially if her mother disproved of her performance!) and re-buried her prey, setting off to find another hunting place.
Griffonpaw's attention was caught, however, by a slightly stale scent trail of her mother going in the opposite direction she had been hunting in. Startled, she followed the scent trail and discovered her mother speaking with Foxfire. Her heart fell as she realized her mother hadn't seen any of her hunting. Discouraged, she emerged from the bushes, determining that Foxfire had had something important to tell Moss-star. She flicked her ears towards the warrior, noticing blood on his paw.]
"Greetings, Foxfire," she chirped in a friendly tone, her gut wrenching and trying to tell her something. "That's a nasty cut...you okay?" [Suddenly she realized what her gut had been trying to tell her, and she sniffed the air, looking around.] "Where's Echosong? I thought she was with you." [Her eyes remained innocent, but her heart twinged with some sort of premonition. She didn't really have faith in it, since she'd had false premonitions before, but still, it was an uneasy feeling that something was wrong...it was probably nothing. Just like all the other times she had 'premonitions'! I really have a horrible sixth sense, she thought amusedly, trying to cheer herself up.] I want to stay freeso bring to methe endless spray of foam!Perhaps I'll defeat your fiery flames or lose myself among the fray.

 M o s s t a r ----------------------------------------------------------- ((Ahh clever Foxfire and innocent Griffonpaw! XD I literally had to sit here for a bit to think of a clever reply .__. ))
[Mosstar's ears pricked. She must've gone insane, of course Foxfire couldn't have caused such an ungrateful sin. With a deep sigh, she looked at Foxfire with a guilty expression.] "M-My apologies, I must be getting old. At least your okay." Mosstar apologized to the warrior. [She must apologize to Griffonpaw for not paying attention to her asseesment. How disrespectful she was acting today. With another deep sigh, she turned her tiring gaze to her daughter. But she managed a smile.] "My dear Griffonpaw, I also apolo-" Mosstar stopped. [Her eyes sinked into a deep frown as she realized something. Without Griffonpaw's remark, she wouldn't have suspected it. Slowly, Mosstar turned her glaring gaze at Foxfire. Her eyes grew fierce as she raised her snout in the air. The leader tried distinguish the thick blood scent. She can suspect the faint difference however she has enough proof to suspect something very suspicious. But she took the time to think of the following images in order to start her debate: SeaClan camp, all her warriors, the position of the sun and the dangerous ocean. Mosstar might be old but she has a good memory. Glancing back at her daughter, she noticed that her daughter isn't familiar with the current situation. But without Griffonpaw's remark, this old elder would be lost. Mosstar started circling Foxfire with an unpleasant gaze.] "Foxfire, that cut is fresh." Mosstar started, glancing at the cut. "And yes, i'm also along with Griffonpaw. Where is Echosong?" Mosstar asked. [There is two plan Mosstar is going to use. Now it all depends on Foxfire's response.]

STONEKITKitXXX|XXXMaleXXX|XXXSeaClanXXX|XXXTroublemaker[A small rustling noise made the gray and cream tabby's ears flick. He hissed slightly in agitation. Who was making so much noise at this hour?! His blue-green; well, teal eyes adjusted to the darkness of the nursery, and soon rested on the light filtering into the den. It was most likely much past sunrise. He sat up quickly, scolding himself in his head. Why had he stayed asleep for such a long time? How kit-like!
Stonekit stood up on semi-wobbly paws, his eyes flickering around the den for a moment. The nursery was virtually vacant, not counting the few queens who took guard over their kits. He smirked slightly, nodding a goodbye to his own mother [NP], before setting out of the warm den.
Harsh sunlight blinded the tom unexpectedly, and a slight hiss escaped his muzzle. Why did it have to be so bright out in greenleaf? He shook his head in a slightly dizzy fashion, and blinked his eyes a few times before his eyes finally adjusted. His jaws stretched apart in a yawn, and he sat down, looking around. The camp seemed oddly busy....and an odd stench was coming from somewhere. It reminded Stonekit of the weird part of the scent of fresh-kill, after you got past the fishy scent.
As if in reaction to his thoughts, a loud rumble came from Stonekit's belly. He sighed in irritation.] "I suppose I should eat now," [he guessed, padding slowly to the fresh-kill pile. He picked up a somewhat scrawny fish, setting it down in front of him. He sank his teeth into the dead fish as he pondered what that similar scent was from earlier.]
