I think all jokes probably depend on the audience.

This is very true. Like dad jokes. They're typically only funny to dads.

Unless you're the one making the dad joke at them. My dad said he felt like popcorn. I told him that's funny, you look like my dad. He groaned. Mom almost died of giggles.

Mom usually laughs anytime someone makes dad groan because he makes so many other people groan with his jokes.

Ah, makes sense. On a side note, how would you describe Nefiriams personality?

Probably. I was still proud of the popcorn joke.
Uh...are you sure you wanna ask /me/ that? He's a pleaser without much personality of his own, because his self worth is wrapped up in how other people see him. He doesn't know how to deal with someone not finding him desirable (as in wanting to have a positive relationship with him) and does his best to be friendly towards them which is when he becomes incredibly awkward socially. He relies on his large persona as a kink to wow people. But really, once you get past the wink and smile, there's not much going on. If he has any hobbies outside of work, they're likely ones that don't make him think too much like thriller or romance novels, mmorpg video games, gossip magazines or network television. May express a slight interest in music as a way to make himself more appealing as the sex symbol he hopes he is. In conversations he relies heavily on the other person to carry the topic.
He's likely only to express extremes of emotions (anger, sadness, joy) on someone else's behalf. Meaning as long as you don't hurt/piss off people he's decided are important to him, you probably couldn't make him mad if you tried. This makes him dangerous because he becomes incredibly easy to manipulate once you get a hold of the right strings and being a dragon, when set on someone it's likely not going to end well for them. Given your habit of also making your characters half god, it could be even worse than having an angry dragon after you. (I haven't been around so I don't know if Nef's backstory has had some tweaking)

That was a pretty good joke, got a smile out of me. I see. I think a lot of that is due to my own social awkwardness getting amplified with trying to work with a kink when I have no sexual interest and/or experience. I've been trying to work on that, though... I was asking cause I know you view him differently than the others I talk to.
And he does have a back story, I've just never really been able to do much with it since most people seem to want nothing to do with him once they see he's more than just a sex machine. I'm actually going to be writing a short story type thing about him and Lonely as a writing exercise to get back into the habit of writing properly.
Which brings me to another question, are there any of my characters you'd like to see a story of? They'll all be back story stuff. Already going to do Bitters (when she met Sarang and then when she first met Mistletoe), my Laughing Assassin at Cae's request (will be difficult due to her not wanting to share her back story with me), and Daenes. Trying to make a list for myself to go through.

Thank you, glad to know someone appreciates my humor~
It could be, I mean. Your biggest give away when you start a new character is how they tend to start giving one or two word answers after awhile in a conversation in the forums. Depending on the already established personality that can come off as shy (lonely), cold (Bitters when she firsts meets someone), secretive (Falinn) or just dull (Nef). I think you probably know by now going "I see" is basically putting up a flashing neon sign that it's you xD
Minty's problem with him is that he doesn't seem to have any real substance beyond the surface stuff. That tends to irk her. Throw on top of that my enjoyment of writing snappy comebacks and relationships where someone can't stand each other and voila. Hostile Minty. Part of it too is developing her as a character I didn't want her to turn out a perfect princess tea-parties in the garden let's all be happy friends trope. She can turn it on as a hostess, but I wanted to make her more human too with personality flaws and I knew you wouldn't be, like, wounded if Minty took a disliking to one of your characters. Particularly since she likes a lot of the other ones.
Sounds like you've got enough on your plate! Besides, I'd be happy with any of those characters that you've already listed.

We seem to have similar humor most of the time. At least I think so... Mine is heavily influenced by British humor, though. Lonely and Bitters are also meant to be that way, I was using my social awkwardness to my advantage. I guess it works to Falinn's advantage a little since she does tend to shut down during conversations in her story as well, though it's usually because she's starting to get stressed. I think Nef might come off as dull to you a lot, especially lately, is because of the hostility. He doesn't want to lash out and possibly harm Minty, so he sort of shuts down instead similar to Falinn. Part of why I'm writing stuff on him is so I can get a better feel for his personality so I can play him better on Gaia. And write him better in his story, too, I guess...
Lists are good though, they keep me busy.

Mine too, honestly. Dad was a Monty Python fan and did his best to pass that down.
If a character's reaction is to set Minty on fire, you shouldn't shy away from it? I mean. It's really not a problem and I consider myself a good enough writer to deal with it. I mean seriously. Some people complain about making characters op'd but if you give me a toothpick and a couple of minutes and I can write my way into or out of anything. I don't even need the toothpick.
My point is. You always have my permission to punch Minty in the face. (or worse)
I think it'd be fun to throw Nef and Minty into a situation where they have to work together (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ But I think trying to make a character deal with someone they don't like pushes more development than someone they do.
Well, if you ever make it through that list, lemme know and I'm sure I can think of something?
