Tam points to the cat's fur, which is now a faint orchid color. "some of it has soaked in, I'm afraid."

Tam hides a chuckle and tells the cat to come out of the water. "Stand there and keep your eyes closed." he says firmly. "I mean it, Hope, don't open them, no matter what you might think or hear until I tell you to do so, promise?"

He feels a growing warmth on his skin and fur, comfortable at first, then almost unbearable, as light leaks into the edges of his closed eyes. A bright unnerving flash almost causes him to open them in response when everything goes cool and Tam tells him to open them once again. He opens his eyelids to see Tam standing there, wings extended, a bright golden glow fading even before his eyes, His hair fanning out from him on an invisible wind. The hair seems odd, bleached almost blonde, as does his clothing which have almost turned white.
Tam smiles gently at him. "Light is my element, remember? How is your fur now?"

Tam laughs as the psychic wind dies down and the clearing slowly falls back into the soft green shadow of the forest trees. "Not much good for combat, though it is a great defensive element.."
Suddenly he staggers to a fallen log and drops to its surface, shaking, still laughing, so Hope knows nothing serious is wrong.

Tam shakes his head. "Man, am I out of shape... it's been ages since I've taken it that far." he says sobering finally. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare ye like that. I've never burned out... but I've never tested the limits of my strength either... and wanted to make sure I bleached you well."
He laughs again, freely, perhaps the first truly free laugh he has had in ages, and gives Hopian a hug.

Tam starts giggling and tickles him back, launching himself at him and wrestling him to the ground. (tickle time!!!!!!)

Tam begs for mercy, laughing so hard tears are rolling down his cheeks. "I give... I give..." he gasps between bursts of uncontrollable giggling. Reaching up he pulls Hopian into a hug and buries his face in the cat's fur. "You win..." he whispers laughing still, holding him close.
