Patricia sat up quickly when lerana came. " I'm up! I'm up! Who's needs something?" she blinked a few times and looked to her tiredly. " Oh, hi lerana. I'm really...." she closed her eyes. The coffe maker beeped. Patricia woke up and quickly poured herself a cup. " thank goodness someone invented coffee. I can hardly live without it," she said drinking it. She blinked a few times and shivered. " There we go," she said. She was much more awake now. A thud and a groan could be heard upstairs. Leopold had fallen out of the bed. This did not wake him.

Lerana sat down with Yuki in her lap and sighed. "You poor thing. You really should lie down. You can't keep yourself awake like this."

Patricia laughed and downed her coffee. " You'll be in this state soon with that kid. I'm just in an almost permanent state of it because of the trauma I've undergone. I'm fine really. I just need coffee in the morning to start me up," she said. The cinnamon rolls were ready as the timer on the oven went off. Patricia pulled them out and set them down to cool. " My record is 72 hours,"

Lerana looked at Yuki and smiled before hugging him. It'll be worth it. I've always wanted a little Kiru. "72 Hours? That's almost 4 days without sleep!"

Patricia laughed. " you really don't notice when you're running away from danger and protecting your infant son. When the town's burning, sleep isn't the first priority," she said grabbing a cinnamon roll. She ate it in two quick bites. " fear is a great way to keep yourself awake," she said. She smiled maniacally. who cares if I haven't slept much since Eric came back? He's still alive and that's all that matters. I can't have him live through that again. A mother should protect that which is dear to her at all costs. What's a couple days awake when it's for the safety of your child? she thought.

Yuki watched Patricia, interested in her before holding his hands to her. "I think Yuki's taken a liking to you." Lerana smiled.

Patrica downed another cup of coffee before walking over to yuki. " I'm glad. I'm glad to have another child that likes me aside from my own," she said smiling at the child.

Yuki cooed and then yawned. Lerana laughed slightly. "Well, I can't see why Yuki wouldn't like you. You're nice, very polite and beautiful." She took Yuki and cradled him. "Now, may I try a cinnamon roll?"

Patricia chuckled slightly. " You almost sound like Leopold on our first date," she said. She pulled the tray closer to Lerana. " You expect me to finish this whole tray by myself?" she said smiling. Leopold's eyes shot open at the smell of cinnamon. He slowly brought himself up from the floor. " Damn. I was out like a light. Now i'm super stiff from the floor apparently," he said. He slowly walked downstairs. I'll take a quick jog, then grab some rolls, he thought. Patrica waved silently to her husband as he came. Leopold waved back and stepped outside with a smile on his face.

Lerana smiled back at Lerana and ate a roll quickly. "O-Oh my. These cinnamon rolls are wonderful!" Yuki watched his mother eat a roll.

Patricia smiled maniacally. " That's good. I'm glad you like them. They don't seem to sell well at local bake sales though. I don't understand why. Maybe it's just me. Or the rumor i'm crazy that's been going around since we fled to here," she said grabbing another roll.

Lerana frowned. "Next time there's a bake sale you participate in, tell me so I can enter as well. That and, I must taste the rest of your cooking." She said as she ate another roll. Kiru rolled over on the couch.

Patricia smiled. " We'll see. We may just end up having a pot luck or something some day. Can you cook to Lerana? I'm sure your clan or whatever it is has some great recipes," she said.

Lerana nodded. "I can cook. My family has a few recipes they've taught us girls how to make since our youth."

Patrica chuckled. " Remind me to call you for the next party. Motherhood and wife hood will wear you down. Sometimes I just don't feel like cooking, but I have to you know. Ordering out is way to expensive for real bad food," she said. Leopold came back and grabbed a few rolls. He downed them very quickly. Little crumbs were stuck in his beard. " You never cease to amaze me Patricia. These are amazing," he said. " thanks dearie. Glad everyone likes them," she said. If only the neighbors would do the same. Bloody paranoia and rumors of foreigners have ruined any chance of my social life. Luckily, my son brought these two here via their daughter. Is it destiny that my son brings our families together. Although, they did abandon... Or did she run away? she thought.
