lyssan grabs him by the arm and pulls him into step with her... i could have sworn i asked you to not cause trouble... she growls as they walk... three doors down she pushes him into an alley... then motions for him to stay put while she scans the street... seeing no one she stands there surveying the street while talking to the pirate behind her.... alright, since you are here... i'm gong across the street, to the archival warehouse... zel's already inside... we may be in luck, but the way things stand... i doubt it... Kero, stay here with austin, i want the two of you to guard our backs while zel and i get that chart...

just as the cat decides he'll have to risk getting caught, a loud noise from the front of the warehouse causes the man to look up.

anders, ye in here? cries a familiar voice... where are ye, ye scurvy dog...

the man's face perks up at the sound of the voice and he hastily sands his work, before closing the book...

lyssi, lass, it that you... he calls back slowly getting up and disappearing through the stacks.

of course it's me, ye ol' fool... man, ye sure are a sight for sore eyes, gramps... what ye been up to...

the voices drift back towards the cat who is already in motion. he leaps to the table and then the shelf, threading his way along the edge so as to not disturb anything he doesn't need to... some of those charts are sealed magically... he locates the one he wants just as he ehars the two bantering individuals grow close... with a sigh he grabs the cords that tie the chart with his teeth, then jumps behind the shelf, dragging it with him...

well, lass, iffin it's a chart ye want ye know the rules... clear it with tiffany first... the old man says as they come into view, the cat crawls ontop of the chart, hiding it with his body and flattens himself into the shadows of the rack...

i... don't really need the chart so much as i wish to check it, anders... heck i'll even let you hold it while i look... i run with austin these days and well ye know what that means... she'd rather tan me hide than allow me even a peek... but you... ye now... are an ol' friend... and i'll make it good with ye... i lifted one of austin's baubles... what do ye say to this....

while lyssan distracts anders, the cat finds a dark shadow to meld into, then he switches form, becoming a smaller version of he neko form, tucking the chart into his shirt he quickly leaves the warehouse...

lyssan hears austin's shout and groans... dang... sorry anders... i better run... he's done got us in hot water again... keep the chain... he'll never miss it... i'll look at that chart some other time... just you remember... i've paid for the privilege...

before she leaves she looks around quickly, but sees no cat... then just as she gets ready to run she sees the bare spot on a nearby rack, devoid of dust with tiny paw prints around it.. with a grin she give anders a wave and dashes outside...

Once outside, Zel looks around for his companions. None of which are to be found. Cursing his bad luck he makes a dash for the dory, hoping Lyssan is following.

Thanks for the lift, cries the cat as he clung to the ill-gotten chart. Why the crew wanted this particular one was beyond him. Only a fool would openly track down his old master and Zel didn't believe anyone in the crew was a fool, but he wasn't so sure about their sanity.

I really should give it to Lyssan, but hey if you want it that bad. Here. It's written in demonic, by the way. But then I'm sure you can read it.
