Hello. I am a Californian and live just a half hour's drive away from the beach but unfortunately I do not surf. You take things for granted, you know? I am so used to being close to the beach that it's not a big deal to me. Also I'm so spoiled because of the temperature here. I haven't even seen snow in years. Anyway, back when I was in highschool I needed an Email address for the first time (I think I forgot to mention that I'm in college now. I turned 22 last month) and I really wanted something original. I hated the idea of an Email address with numbers in it like coolguy333@whatever.com. It was just one of those things that really bugged me. So my solution was to get the game Scrabble and use the pieces to randomly create a good name. I got Emradrig on the second try and since then it has been my screenname for everything. It's my pseudonym. You don't mind the wall of text, do you? I'm supposed to write about myself here and I just felt like writing it as though I were having a conversation rather than spouting a couple sentences. I'm mostly just writing things off the top of my head. Usually if I try to think about what I'm writing it takes me forever. It's a really bad problem when I'm RPing because it sometimes takes me weeks to post. It's quite unfortunate because I enjoy RPing. Oh well. I'm straight-edge. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, I don't even swear. The worse I'll say is "Heck" or "Crap". Sometimes I say "Bloody" but it's okay because I'm in America and it's not really considered a swear here. I had to stop myself from saying it when I went to England, though. I visited Great Brittan last June. It was awesome! I had so much tea. whee The culture there is really different but in some ways it's almost the same. You know what I mean? The really great thing was I got to stay there a whole month and only stayed at a hotel for 3 days. I went with my grandmother's best friend Audrey and she has friends from all over the country. I went to London, Cambridge, Bristol, Stratford-on-Avon, Bath, and a few other places. We went to Edinburgh for a while (I got a kilt from there blaugh ) That's when we couldn't stay at someone's house. We did get to see the castle and the Scottish crown jewels. If I got to live anywhere I wanted to, I'd live in Cambridge. I loved it there. My girlfriend wants to move to California. She lives in Kentucky but she's originally from New York. Her family dragged her to Kentucky when she was in middle school and she has hated it there since the first day. Every one made fun of her for talking funny. confused She's planning on moving out here after one more semester and then she'll transfer to a school here, probably in San Diego. It's difficult having a long distance relationship (it certainly is not for everyone) but we persevere. She has visited me twice already and I'm going over there right after Christmas. She says there's nothing to do there but I don't care, I want to meet her family and friends. And when I'm there we're going to play World Of Darkness. It's a storytelling game. Kinda like D&D but with far less reliance on stats and dice rolling and more focus on story and character development. It's modern day vampires and werewolves and mages and other stuff. My girlfriend is obsessed with vampires and she's a certified DM so a tabletop RPG about vampires was just perfect for her. After I started dating her White Wolf (the company that makes WoD) came out with the second version of the game so she wanted to get the new books of it. She got the new core rule book, the vampire book and the werewolf book but she didn't have the one for mages so I got her for her so she could have all of the big three (there are more creatures you can be but the books for them hadn't come out yet.) I read the mage book quite a bit before giving it to her and I got hooked. I got a whole bunch of supplement books for mage so I'm kind of an expert on that. The only problem is, I don't have too much experience actually playing the game. Technically I have no experience playing that game. I only played D&D once before. Well, it was a campaign, we had sessions every Wednesday but that game ended. I can't seem find any local games. Every one who plays tabletop RPGs all live really far away. We go to the same school but they all live to the east and I live to the west. Plus I don't have a car. Part of it is because I'm lazy but it's also because I don't want to pay so much money on a car and also I'm a bit of an environmentalist. I'm not quite as environmentally active as I should be, but it severely pisses me off if people are too lazy to throw soda cans into a recycle bin instead of a regular trash can. I mean, come on! how can you be that lazy? Stupid jerks. stare When I do get a car I want it to be a hybrid and I will just power it with electricity, I wont bother putting gas in it. That is how those things work, right? Either or? They don't require both, do they? That would be bloody stupid. Anyway, I haven't gotten around to getting my driver's license. My mom really wants me to because she's a school bus driver and she's always tired of driving when she gets home from work. I tried doing the written test twice before but missed two more questions than I was allowed. I should try again but I haven't gotten around to it. I'm fine taking the city bus or riding my bike (or both). ...wow, I'm really rambling there. If you had the patience to read all that you get a cookie! whee Anyway, (how many times have I started paragraphs with that word?) I'm really looking forward to seeing my girlfriend again although I'm going to freeze my butt off but at least I'll get to finally play as a mage with her and her friends (she's going to be a vampire, her best friend will be a werewolf but her sister is still trying to decide what she'll be) Merry Christmas. One last thing: My favorite color is purple. It may not be the manliest color but I'm not really the manliest guy in the world anyway.

I want my cookie! :B
Welcome to the Suites. Hope you enjoy your stay. Much to do and talk about. XD
Anyhow, yes I read your wall of text. Woot! For mentioning D&D and me knowing about White Wolf. XD (I forget what game it was, but I'm pretty sure it was published by White Wolf, but I know a little about it. Mostly dealt with the dirrent races of vampires, and you had to select abilities and a few curses or something. Unfortunately, the group I was playing in didn't last and we never got the campaign going, but it sounded like it would of been fun.) I miss playing D&D. All my 2nd gen books are collecting dust. XD
And woot! for purple. heart
