As soon as I realized what was going on I... I locked him in his room, but was afraid to leave him all alone, so I... I stayed in with him... probably one of the dumbest things I"ve ever done. I mean I read Hope's papers and all, but I don't know... I wasn't thinking..."

Let me guess....you wanted to stay with Kero when you realized he warped...and the inevitable happened....he probably knocked you out...and you woke up when he was asleep, filthy, but uninjured...does that about cover it?
Because that's normal, Tam...most Miner parents do try that on their cub, at least once...and it happens to both male and female parents...so don't feel bad...you've just joined a large group....the people who have learned not to stay with a warping miner. It's a natural mistake, and I assure you mom and dad made it with me....I almost wound up doing the same thing to mom...finally, they found Fortuny and brought her in with me....so there was no harm done...trust me, Tam...you did nothing wrong.

Welll....I can tell you this...Kero will probably become a lot nicer than he has been lately...we get very moody and rude before we warp...I'd have warned you, but it wasn't supposed to happen for another two years...plus I've been leashed by Fortuny...
Now that the hormones in his brain have dissipated throughout his body, he should get back to normal fairly quickly...he'll probably apologize for it....and now I'm turning around on things...do not, whatever he asks, spank him. At this stage, you'll break open his glands and really hurt him...his killing venom is online now, or it will be...and if you break that...you kill him and me.

Needs to put on a bit of weight though before he reaches full maturity." Tam sighs. "Where's that little grey kitty I handed you? Did you make sure it got something to eat. She is in the kitchen, being spoiled by the cook....don't worry about her.
And actually, you could....it's not unheard of for adult miners to recieve that as punishment in our underground city. One swallow of saltwater, and we're weak as a kitten...and venomless to boot.

Note that....saltwater causes us to convulse, spilling our venom out the end of our tail...and relaxes all our muscles for about ten minutes...commonly used to discipline naughty cubs and to immobolize criminals.

Tam smiles at him annd scratches his head. "Man, I must really be a mess if I can't tell a female cat from a male one..." he sighs and says he's going home. "Kero should be safe where he's at... and I tossed a whole dear in with the two of them, so barring problems, they shouldn't get too hungry... not sure if that cave has water or not, though... ye remember that lioness you, Kero and I came across that first time when I got stuck in the lion form? That is who he is with."
