Tam rolls his eyes, then yawns without warning. Blushing beet red he mutters an apology and sighs. "Hope, why don't ye two go home and let me sleep, ok?"

**Nope...random joke**
*Five years later, Kero turned thirteen, and became moody...sullen...even Tam was tempted to spank the cub from time to time...he was insulting...cursed everyone out...and was generally an all-around bad cub...it was a shock to Tam, because until a few months ago, Kero had been the kindest kid anyone had met in the village...now he was a troublemaker, whose pranks often left people crying...he had learned more about Voidmagic, and could now teleport if he had to, though it tired him greatly. Absorption remained his specialty...but he still could not call anything but teleportation at will, save for the smallest magics. He still focused on Firemagic, not Void. The scene picks up one day at their cottage, where Kero has just come in, laughing...a prank he had pulled on Tam resulted in a soaked bard with a headache...the classic bucket over the door*

Tam looks up from the puddle he is mopping up and tosses the rag at the cat, growling at him to clean up his own messes. The bucket had not only doused him thoroughly but had hit him square on the head and he's angry, quite angry. This is perhaps the 6th such prank that day and who knew how many the cat had played on everyone else.

*Kero simply flares Fire over it, and the puddle is gone...and Tam's long hair is now looking as though it had been tumble-dried*
**Megapuberty anyone?**

Tam runs his hands through his hair and some ash fall to the floor, now he's livid. "Go to your room." he growls, reaching for the rag and bucket.

Tam closes his eyes and grits his teeth, knowing that he has just been insulted and if he says anything the cat will only make a big issue out of it. He climbs to his feet and stores his things away and begins to make supper, wondering where all their food has been disappearing to. Surely Kero's appetite hadn't increased that much?

*Kero's appetite hadn't...but he realized that, if Tam sent him to his room without dessert, he could just hide some in there, and eat it afterwards...and he slams his door when he goes inside*

Tam makes dinner, but there really isn't all that much there. He checks his wallet and it's a little flat as well. He decides to let Kero have it all, as the cat probably needs it and go to be early himself. Tomorrow, he'll take some of the salt they had put aside and sell it at the market so he can replenish their supplies. He knocks on the door to Kero's room, puts the tray on the floor and goes up stairs to read. Lately avoidance has become the word of the day, not that he wanted to, but whenever they were together they were always fighting and he was beginning to hate the end of the day, when the two of them were alone.

*When he comes out of his room, he finds the food there...even Kero's nature isn't gone completely...there's a note on there..."I'm not hungry"*

Tam carries the tray to the kitchen and puts it on the table and makes some tea. "Kero!" he calls, hopefully loud enough to be heard through the door. "I'm making tea... want some?"
