Mica chuckles softly. "Not all shadow mages start out evil, Kero. Most are subverted. But I too would far rather you not lean in that direction." He thinks for a bit then nods. "Your namesake was indeed a void mage, of great stature and known to be an honorable man. You would do well to learn to emulate him, if that is indeed you bent. Void magic unravels existence and as such gives it's user formidable powers... which can be used for either end of the pendulum... good or evil."

*Kero nods*
Okay....but...why would unraveling be good....isn't that just destruction by another name?

It is Tam who answers. "If you had an old house, whose floors have rotted away, but whose walls are good solid stone. Would it not be better to use that stone in the construction of a new home? Void magic renders that which is into it's "good solid stones" so to speak. It takes things aparty so it can be put together differently."
He smiles at him warmly. "As such, void magic allows it's user to work with the powers of creation... they themselves are not creators, but they ready the stones for those who are..."

Mica nods. "Some can. The stronger the mage is the easier it is for him to use the stone. You actually showed me this morning that you may hae that ability when you reconstructed my spell stone."

*Kero nods*
Okay....I think I understand...I...I can turn things into building blocks...and make stuff with those blocks...but I can't make new blocks...is that about right?

Tam nods. "And right now... the only things you can probably make are the things you've just undone. Because you need to know how they are put together. Think of it as one of those wooden puzzles that as long as it is in your hands and you are dismantling it, you can reverse the patterns, because it is fresh in your thoughts. But if you put it down, you forget the sequences."

"This doesn't mean you've lost your fire magic...." says Tam kindly, "Only that you've opened the door to something new. Your friends haven't deserted you."

*Kero nods to that as well, then goes and curls up by the fire*
Plus, I'm still cold here, now that it's winter....so I'm staying here by this warm fire until July. And sira....there's a bug on your forehead....a small grey spider.

Tam carefully reaches up to see if there is indeed a spider on his forehead.

He gently removes it and looks at it closely, hoping he sees something in the tiny creature, not sure that he will.
