Tam tosses a pillow at him and burrows down into the bed. "Who taught you that one?" he asks with a grumble.

Tam gives him a sad look and shakes his head. "Wrong world... wrong time line... remember the all father's creations covers them all... sadly in this one... I had already been sent out. But I did get to visit that one, for the end. and several times since."

Tam winks at him and sings along, but some of his verses are best not repeated. Sharmistra heaves an exasperated sigh and leaves the room, but her eyes are twinkling merrily.

Tam bites his lower lip to keep from laughing and burrows deep into the bed, pretending not to be awake. Jut in time as well, as Mica comes in humming the tune along with Kero.
"Hmmm... so I was right... it is you subverting my people." he remarks with a knowing smile. "Shame on you, Kero... what are you still doing around here. I thought I sent you home."

*Kero keeps piping, though he points to the bed with his tail...now the music seems directed at Mica...the sauciest of priests, the music seems to call him*

Tam peeks over the edge of the blanket and grins sheepishly. "He didn't learn it from me... I assure you..." he says with a chuckle.
Mica grins back. "I know... it's a recent addition to his repertoire. How are you feeling>"
With a tired grumble Tam sits up and shrugs. "Drained and achy... but whole... I think, why?"
Mica nods solemnly. "May I scan you? To see if the switch was spell based or otherwise."
Tam narrows his gaze. "What do you mean?"
Mica sighs. "Kero told me this morning what happened. What I'd like to know... and you should know... is that it might have been he that changed you back not your own spell dissolving at long last."
Tam smiles ruefully. "Oh, I already know the answer to that one, m'sirra. It was Kero, not I."

I think....I think he's right.....I haven't switched....but this seems like a new power....one I wouldn't have as a firemage...

Again Tam sighs, but this time he sounds as though he's been expecting this. "To tell the truth, I half suspected such to happen, just not so early. I wasn't there at your birthing, Taro, but Hopian and the one who was warned me that you will always be more than you seem." He grins mischievously, distracting them from is thinly veiled answer. "And you haven't failed to impress me of this fact, dulcha... not in all the years I've known ye. The way ye learn is phenomenal."

I always was a crazy cub. Sira....I wanted to ask....what elements involve absorption? I know Fire can absorb other powers....but The Saucy Priest says this isn't Fire....

Tam thinks on this for a bit then shrugs. "Actually... all forms of subtractive magic have some means of absorption... where as additive magic finds ways to repel... it's a common means of defense. Most though require active spell participation. In other words you need to set the spell and keep it functioning... it doesn't happen on it's own. Now shadow magic has an absorption element to it as does voidic. In many ways shadow magic is based on absorption... of light... energy... and the such. But if that was the case, wouldn't he show other signs, Mica?"
The elderly priest frowns as he pulls up a chair. "Yes, I suspect he would. Shadow magic inevitably absorbs the life of the user... and those around it. Unless they are shielded of course. It is one of the first tasks a shadow mage learns... how to prolong his life so as not to snuff himself out." He looks at Tam and then at Kero then shakes his head. "I'd say it wasn't shadow magic. if he sucked in the spell from you using shadow magic, he'd have left a trace of the act, a aetheric scar so to speak and I don't see one. I myself tend to believe he's showing signs of voidic magic, albeit weak ones. Void magic rarely leaves trace elements behind. It is a rather clean form of magic."
