SHIONxxxxxMORI There was no time to mourn, no time to console her friend, no time for anything but action. Shion's eyes had been locked on the Oni the moment she had started swinging her blade and making threats. Now with Toso giving her free reign to act as she saw fit, it was time for her to clean up this failed invasion. A quick spark of blue flames quickly formed into a stream of jets propelling the CORE nin forward at full speed, angling herself between Obei and the Kage. In a blur of motion, those jets would be redirected at the charging Oni, amplifying into full on bakuton explosions. "You've lost. Stand down." A muffled, yet audibly serious voice would bark to the intruder. "Give yourself up and come in peacefully... or end up like her." Shion's eyes momentarily glanced to Toso and his... work... before darting back to the one-horned aggressor.
Meanwhile, in head-space... the lack of a suddenly-appearing three-tailed turtle upon the death of their host seemed unusual. A mixture of concern and curiosity nagged at Matatabi. "Brother? Are you still with us?" A message clearly transmitted upon the entire network in hopes of finding Isobu.

The events following Kagami's tearful revelation went by in a blur. She gave her speech to the village through the PA system. The first few sentences of her tirade raised some red flags in his mind. It seemed like the pleading they had done in an attempt to change her mind fell flat. And once she had finished, his suspicions were confirmed. Her tone shifted from confidence to kindness, then to complete hysteria. It seemed like there really was no convincing this woman to take a better path. She was devoutly following her blind vision of a perfect world. A corrupted image born from the same ideals that Toso held, and likewise, the same ideals that Shinji wanted to see brought to fruition. Then his thoughts cut out. A complete power outage of thought. The most he could do was perceive the events transpiring before him, but he couldn't process them. At least, not in the moment.
A sweet smell filled his nostrils and bright lights flickered like stars in the sky. His body visibly relaxed as a mysterious wind swept throughout the room. An anti-genjutsu device that Toso had prepared prior had been activated, creating a wave of energy that spread throughout the village and broke the citizens free of Kagami's subtle control. Whatever sliver of mental control Shinji still held onto was quickly dissolved as a series of tentacles shot forth and skewered the pregnant woman, ripping her into pieces through the command of the Arashikage. As close as Shinji was, it couldn't be helped that a few drops of blood splashed onto his cheek. His eyes widened at the feel of warm liquid on his cheek, fearing the acceptance of what it was, but he knew full well the source of his cheek's new stain.
Shinji froze. Toso made his way to the PA system and gave his own speech. The words echoed in the boys ears, but didn't make it any farther than that. Later that day, he would be able to recall what his Kage had said and reflect on it, but right now he was in shock. The best way to describe his mental state was that it had entered Autopilot. Obei's reaction to Kagami's apparent death was rage, followed by a rush towards Toso. The masked figure who was standing in the window leaped in to intercept her. The only thing Shinji could do was turn around and grab Yuugure from the wall she was resting on. He hefted the scythe over his shoulder and made his way to the door. "Yes, sir. His tone was empty, his volume quiet; the response to Toso's command was an indication of exactly how fractured the last few actions had left his brain.
Time would heal some of these fractures, but he would have to let the initial shock wear off before he could begin to draw any conclusions from what happened. To him, the dismemberment of Kagami's body, her murder, was real. He didn't register the tidbit of information she had given earlier, regarding her status as a jinchuriki. If he had, maybe he would be a bit more collected. After all, the lack of the bijuu sealed away within her rampaging through the village could give credence that the blue haired woman in the Kage's office wasn't her real body. Or maybe it was, and another reasoning could be drawn to why the demon wasn't released from its seal.
Shinji opened the door to the office and slowly crept through it, closing it softly behind him. Once in the area directly outside, he paused, leaning back to rest against a wall and sliding down until he was sitting on the floor. It wasn't necessarily that he wanted to stay, but more so that he wasn't sure where to go. Shinji hung his head, using what little brain function he had access to in order to regulate his breathing to stave off hyperventilating.
__ There was a pleasant smelling wind that was undetected by Kagami as the genjutsu caster that seemed to overwhelm those surrounding her. Kagami was still certain that her wide cast genjutsu worked and that an uprising would ensue outside. This meant that her infiltration of Arashigakure was successful without even lifting a finger from her perspective. As she laughed maniacally at the people in the office she began to form handseals as ink-filled the room as if to attack. Suddenly, a large needle appeared to pierce her stomach as she body flickered away over one hundred and fifty miles instantly using her vast chakra reserves added to the body flicker allowing her to escape the village in reality. Everyone who was looking at Kagami would see this image of her being mortally wounded by the attack. Loud and blood-curdling screams left her mouth after the initial attack. She desperately grabbed at her still impaled stomach as tears flooded from her eyes. "AAAAAAAAAH! MY BABY!" Suddenly, more ink needles would rip her body to shreds. From the window of the Spire, the sanbi appeared with his body landing in the large courtyard between the Spire and the CORE Compound causing no destruction. The titanic turtle appeared more mournful and frightened than wrathful as it wailed to emulate crying. Suddenly, green chakra overwhelmed the turtle and caused it to completely disappear out of the area. The heavy iron smell of blood filled the room originating from the mound of gory remains. The blood could be felt on Shinji's cheek as well as splattered on any clothing.

The attack launched at the Arashikage was caught by one of the woman standing by him. Their weapons met as Obei grunted, pushing against her in a vain effort to try and get past her as she barked out the command to stop. It was only by some basic instinct for survival in the Oni (that somehow remained) which stayed her gauntlet. The pale beastwoman let out a huff and took a step back while glaring at the rest of the people around her. It was currently uneven odds against her in the office, with Naomi gone and Kagami dead, Obei was left as the only member of Kogarashi present. With no other plans left, she looked at all the other people in the room and wouldn't dare to move under the current circumstances. The doubt in her mind, the death of her boss, the meaningless existence she was entrenched in. All of it was too much. Obei just wanted to go back home and rest her eyes. She stood down from the fight and allowed herself to be taken away. Or left here and told to run away. Either was fine with her.

A knock came at Toso'Kage's door, Hajime had his head in the clouds, remembering their last serious conversation in that office of his. It'd been a long time since then, he'd been in the office many times on important Nin business but that was the last time he'd had a one on one with Toso. But now he had important needs and wants, he needed permission, he needed to discuss his own future with his leader. Hajime waited for a response, patiently, both hands resting on his hilts.
The door would open. A small metallic ball would be presently holding the handle. The little things appeared to have tiny extremities. It was no mystery that these things were essentially the Arashikage's eyes and ears which floated around like little sprites. While it would typically be men and soldiers for most leaders Toso thought it less not to bother them with menial things. For all occasions otherwise he would use these devices. These devices aptly known around th village as SQUIBS. Sprinkeled all around the office were these little guys. Sweeping, adjusting things, filing things, all the while the Arashikage himself stood with one leg across the other reading a book. The name of that book was 'Of Bitterness, and Balloons' it was a popular book recently about a man who lived his life as a Balloon salesman, a man whose wife left him, and how his career was leading him nowhere, as a result the man turns to crime and in turning to crime discovers that he doesn't have the heart to be bad. The description of the book could go on but the kage would address Hajime.
"Mr.Asuhara. To what do I owe the pleasure. Or is it to whom bloop?" He'd place the book down momentarily. "There's a festival you know, we're going on five years now and here you are doing business? All work and no play will make Hajime a dull boy." Toso would say whimsically, he'd gotten better at inflecting but his tone of voice was still very one tone. Toso figured the boy would have chased after Belamos. After all he was his 'sensei' then again Belamos did retire. Who would have thought he'd choose to be a farmer. Then again, looking back on those years Toso was somewhat egoistic in his head. Both his advisors said Arashigakure would fail, and here it was still standing, still standing and on its fifth year of peace. As for Officer Kosei, he couldn't currently remember a time they last spoke through anything but correspondence.

Hajime stepped inside, his singular eye focusing n the little squib before he moved his hand. With the gentlest touch he could give, he gave it a headpat and a bright smile, before turning his attention to Toso'Kage. Haji' bowed, showing his respect before relaxing once more, hands on his hilts giving him that bright smile this time. "It certainly has been some time since I have been in this room on anything other than Nin matters." He started out, approaching the large desk, was it Mahogany? Didn't matter, he stopped and looked about before speaking up. "My Lord I have much to discuss but I can't help but think you knew what I was planning. Just so happen to announce a shot at claiming the legendary twin blades, Kiba, when in fact I have my," He pauses for a second, reaching into a pack on his belt, before pulling out a scroll. "my Resignation here." He started to hand it to him before putting it right back. "Be it your idea to keep me around or not, it has worked for now. I have plans, I have been thinking on how to approach a new business venture over the last couple years." Hajime turns pulls a chair up and sits. "Let's start there. Well there and, how I might get ahold of one of your Airship Blueprints."
"Displaying a letter of resignation and THEN asking for closley kept village blueprints. Mr.Asuhara, if you truly intend to get into business bloop, I'd suggest you throw in the towel now for your own sake." I mean yikes, there's such a thing as being too forward. A good businessman doesn't play his full hand right from the start and Hajime did just that. Toso would be playing coy that would have been heard in his tone of voice. "I'm afraid as far as the airships are concerned, I can't provide you that knowledge. If, per say, bloop, someone were to militarize them and trace said militarization back to Arashigakure being the provider of said blueprint after said group causes significant damages. Well, it would look rather bad for us, you understand bloop." Arashi currently only used the airships for transport and trade, only since the sky pirates some undisclosed time ago did they gain extra fortifications and slight offensive ability. Still that very attack made it known that the blueprints weren't exclusive to only Arashi, and that somewhere out there the possibility of reverse engineering possible other skyship wreckages was very much possible...assuming one had a team of researchers available.
"That said, I will tell you what I've told my associate. Should you wish to engage in any ventures outside of Arashigakure then Arashigakure will do you no special service aside business and should said business be unsavory that to will be lost. My associate has helped many people and other villages, and I've told him rather bluntly as I will tell you, should anything cause Arashigakure unfortunate circumstance you will be labeled an enemy of the village and indefinitely exiled." This was the nature of Arashigakure now, those that left Arashigakure for their own pursuits would receive no aid financial or otherwise from the village. That time was long gone with the 5 year migration of those that took the salary provided them to start new lives elsewhere. Still indefinitely exiled was a pretty low impact threat. Normally you'd be a target of well war or death or something similar. Toso however, catered to Arashi being a place of peace, meanwhile, the Land of Lightening's Daimyo was still doing what he did best.
Hajime had or at least seemed to have an inherent militaristic nature to him. It always showed in the way he presented himself. It made sense that he wouldn't find satisfaction here in the Neo-Arashigakure of all places. Of course, he didn't know he had intended on making a para-military. Some people seek satisfaction in these things. Toso did not. Militaries need not exist when what you seek is a path of peace and least resistance. War, Hunger, Pain. Isolation was to avoid these things, the advancement in technology was to deter them, Arashigakure was a Sanctuary that aimed to avoid the trifles of the land-hungry and power-seeking, and that is the type of people it catered to.

A tall women is coming up the stairs to the Kage office known as Jeha Oni, a Chunin of the Hidden Storm, thirty year old women. Her coat nice and furry as it is, it moves in the wind a bit as she is taking her time walking enjoying herself a bit. She hasn't stretched her legs just quite yet and this is what she needed after all. However she did hear a announcement earlier, most likely about a tournament being arranged after five long years. Man ever since peace settled in, its been very nice and easy paced for her even though there hasn't been any serious missions set up just yet. After all, the war has been over for a long time and no further conflicts have popped up except dealing with rogue shinobi assignments. In any case though, "left overs" can be about and therefore those things will have to be dealt with in some time but she makes her up the steps with her nice shinobi sandal like foot work which clamp to each step. She can hear the stones or whatever material clamp together with her as if it joined her in harmony for her ears to hear. Its like screaming"Be proud that you are a Hidden Storm Shinobi" to Jeha no doubt. She is proud of that but in all these years, she hasn't met the Kage once but she has heard others have met the Kage about only serious business or even casual but that is more rare. She has come up there for business wise and she takes her sweet time to get up there, she loves walking, its one of her passions. As soon as she gets up there, she is hearing some conversation, can't make it out but its clear, there are people inside talking about whatever. She didn't want to be rude so she walks down the hallway some ways away from the door and has her back leaned against the wall. She don't know what person could come out of there and who could they be. She does feel nervous a bit even for being a Hoshigaki, one of the toughest warrior clans around no doubt and known for their water style expertise. She simply waits to see what person could walk out of the office and how would she interact with them, that is another question all together.
Toso would check his watch, before realizing, "Well, Mr.Asuhara I'll have to cut things short, I don't know where my associate is but he's somehwere in the village, I advise you seek him out. If you're lucky perchance he may consider aiding your business ventures. He's rather unbiased so long as money is involved." He'd open a drawer, place the book into it for safe keeping, produce a clone, stand up and then proceed toward the exit as the clone took his place. He'd look back as he reached for the handle before saying "Don't foget TO sign up for said tournament Mr.Hajime. Good luck and good fortune to you bloop." Toso would then open the door and take a step forward before elbowing into something...or rather someone. To be particular that someone's chest.

Ultimately looked like Hajime would still have a chance to say his peace with whatever soon as the girl was rightly in the Arashikage's way. Although it was doubtful this was the girls intent, even though Toso seemed he was in a rush, he truly had time. It was simply that the pay period at his restaurant was due and Nohr tended to get irritated if its left around for too long. "Aye I know they'll kill me but hey, I'm still young, gotta live a little right?" Hajime told him, one of the few men he respected without...well without almost all fault. "We'll see what happens with Asuhara Company. For now it is but a concept, one that will hopefully grow." If there's one thing he'd learned over the last few years, it was to listen to the advice of his superiors and that's what he was doing. In all honesty he knew he had zero chance to get a copy of a blueprint this easily. He just was one to try every option. A booming laugh resounded again, when he mentioned being threatened, grinning like a cheshire cat as he took a drag of his cigarette, blowing smoke out of his nostrils. He waited for a response and only got that request to leave and he did so, heading out behind him before being told to escort the Tall Lady to the Arena. "Oh! It'd be my pleasure, I'm Hajime Asuhara!~" He'd respond with a bow, before leading the way to the elevator and out of the spire.
