Hearing the sound of the door being pushed open had her slowly opening an eye to look up at the door. Finally! She didn’t move an inch as he walked to the dresser set a tray on it. The only part of her that did move was her gaze as it followed him and the occasional upturn of her nose from her sniffling. Remaining quiet to his questions, she felt the bed shift as he sat at the foot of the bed. Why was he staying so far away from her? Her eyes watered as she looked away from him and went back to thinking that he didn’t love her anymore. Her mommy had always told her that he loved her with all his heart, even though he was never around. That it wasn’t as though he didn’t want to be with her, but he couldn’t. “I think you’re daddy loves you more than he has ever loved even me, and I’m so jealous.” It was something her mommy often told her. She didn’t understand what all of it meant, but to think that someone she had never met loved her that much and then suddenly ignored her like she had never been there...It made her feel so incredibly sad. She just wanted to be happy with her family. It was finally together, only to suddenly disappear right before her eyes. Sela blinked, tears silently rolling down her cheeks.
Pushing herself up, she crawled out from under the covers and made her way over to him at the foot of the bed. Climbing into his lap and curling up against him, she wrapped her tiny arms around him and cried softly against his stomach. She did still feel a little queasy, but she was too busy just trying to be close and comforted with her daddy. He was all she had right now. Her uncle couldn’t do the same for her like her parents could. She knew her uncle was a mean guy to everyone else, but he had always been nice to her, and he was always good at cheering her up, but it just wasn’t the same. The love from her parents just felt so different than the kind she got from her uncles.
Slowly, she nodded her head to his question, but never actually said anything. He didn’t even stop to ask what she wanted before he left. Sela’s grip on him tightened slightly. It’s not like she wanted much from him. She knew that if someone came over to watch her, that she couldn’t go with her parents to whatever they were doing. All she had wanted was a hug goodbye, maybe to hear him say that he loved her. Instead, all she got was a door slammed in her face before she could even reach the end of the stairs. Her jaw clenched as her tears fell a little faster.

Hakem Takashi✭Astrology Teacher! Love is not an Emotion It is a Constant State of Mind
The door had gotten his attention but it wasn't enough to get the wolf out of bed just yet. After turning over on his bunk, he quickly fell back asleep to the soft murmur of Ty's voice along with a stranger's. It wasn't long, a child's voice rang out, and that had Hakem cracking his eyes open. who was that little girl? Admittedly, Hakem was not fond of kids although he handled them just find. The last time he had to deal with kids her age, well, he'd watched them grow up to preteens before he became the cause of their world falling apart. Then off he was sent again, like a communist Mary Poppins. And this little girl in particular, was calling his nephew 'daddy,' The resemblance was there, but he was confused. With whom? The girl from high school Ty was so enamored with? Hakem knew Ty left to see his mother, and then...then, nothing. Literally. The boy was gone, After the graduation ceremony, Hakem brought Ty his degree for him and never knew or recalled to ask about...Crap, what was her name? Hakem hadn't spoken to her much. Nevertheless, Sela's age seemed to match up if that was the case, unless Tyrese slept with someone else about four years ago. The astrology teacher wouldn't know, Ty only began to let people in two years ago, and he'd never mentioned a kid, And Hakem had spoken to him within that time frame, maybe not in the last few weeks, but that shouldn't suspend him from being told.
So he was curious as to what was going on. The title didn't seem to be misplaced on the wolf, Hakem heard Ty pass by the door to hearken to the toddler's voice. Boy oh boy was he in trouble, she wailed for him from two floors away and there he went to her side. She was going to get spoiled, if she wasn't already, But he would cut her some slack, she was pretty sick when they arrived late last night. Hakem rubbed his eyes, staring into complete darkness. Putting curtains on each of the bunk beds was a good idea, Hakem couldn't even tell it was morning. He sighed, then stopped midway to gag. Aaaaghgh! He forgot about the damn smell in this house, a smell that wasn't HIS! He was hit with the smell of pine in the air, rolling around on the small mattress and ruffling around for several seconds to get it out of his senses. The bed smelled like him now that he's slept in it, but any other scent felt invasive. After roughly snuffing out a breath, he shoved the curtain aside and blinked into the bright room. It seemed only to be noon according to the clock on the wall. After tired blinks of his plumb orbs, he remembered his fiance and the fact the bunks were too small to house them both in just one. Eye's narrowing, he leaned over the side of his bunk to look at the one below his own.
The ginger was there, and awake of course. Her face was ablaze with the blue florescent light of her pokemon emulator. He scowled, smelling the scent of his nephew drift from her skin and blankets. It was...oddly annoying. He really only liked his own scent, although he'd grown used to hers and that of her body soap. Her personal scent, he couldn't change. However, on a daily basis he made sure to nuzzle against her before she left anywhere. He wasn't sure why, probably because his instinct had made itself a habit as well as a means of comfort: things that smelled like him were his, or otherwise his ally. The male exhaled from his nose, waiting until he was either looked at or acknowledged before dropping from the top bunk, His feet hit the plush carpet, but lifted out of it as he rolled Vickie upwards and on top of him. He took her place, but pushed the blankets back as he grabbed the end of her sleeve and sniffed it. Yep, it smelled like Ty. He glared unknowingly, at first into the middle space where nothing stood, before it dropped to Tori's face. "How do you tolerate this smell?" The subtle smell of clay and wood chips, his own scent, was much better.

【 "Imagine if the life that you thought you shared, xxxxWasn't really there... 】 Victoria had been up for a while now, allowing the sunlight to bathe her and the off white blanket that lay atop of her. She had to admit - this whole separate bed shtick bothered her in the slightest. It wasn't as if she were needy or constantly needing Hakem's touch at points, but she had definitely grown used to the warm that came along from the wolf. And considering she had come from Northern Washington where it was constantly cold, it was a nice change of pace when it came to body temperature. She shifted the screen above her, holding in her contempt from the sudden cry down the hall. If there was one word that Victoria could use to sum up the entirety of last night's events it would be 'ridiculous'. They had been welcomed to a fainting host and a wailing, spoiled banshee up the stairs - all because of a damn stomach virus. In truth, she wanted to punch a wall as soon as she stepped through the threshold, only balling her fist in response. Whatever the case, it didn't seem like the whimpering and sniveling would stop quite yet; but then again, it could be that the sole reason of her dislike remained in the fact that she taught teenagers instead of crying babies.
She shifted her phone in her grip, hardly breaking her contact from the current battle to even acknowledge the sound of someone moving above her. Well... That was until she could see his navy hair slowly appear and dangle into view, followed by a sincere scowl that she instantly recognized. She knew that face - a little too well perhaps. Her thumb swiftly brushed against the 'home' button, exiting out of the game completely before she turned onto her side, her red, straight locks curling in from their sprawled position and falling beneath her head. "Well then come down here and fix it." She retorted as if he had actually spoken something to her. It wasn't as if he hadn't before considering she was the swim teacher. Every day after school she'd arrive smelling like chlorine and lotion once again only for him to practically grind against her like an overly jealous dog. In fact, it reminded her of watching Jimmy Neutron. Each and every day Jimmy would return to his lab and eliminate his school smell by stepping into the tube and having a blue spray surround him before smelling himself and sighing in bliss. Now she did have to say she enjoyed Hakem's scent. There was just something about that clay-like smell she couldn't get over, but it could be the art in her talking.
She rolled and twisted obediently, sliding her phone beneath the pillow and just off to the side of his head so as he didn't have to lay on what felt like a slim rock. "Because I don't notice it as much as you do, Wolfgang." Her arms lifted one at a time to cross over his chest, careful not to drive her elbows into his rib cage nor crush him with her sudden push of weight. "If you're bothered that much though - it is possible to roll around in this tiny space with the right position." She settled her chin against his chest, watching him with her owl-like, teal eyes. 【 ...It was made up in your mind.xxxx Could be anyone, anywhere." 】

Feeling the pat to her head, Sela slowly blinked her eyes open. Looking out the window, parts of the room basking in the rays of the sun, her eyes looked almost to glitter as they looked towards the light. Glassy with tears however, as she blinked, they continued to fall although less often. Where was the daddy she had already grown to know? This one was...scared, or something. Her daddy would be trying to make her feel better. Showering her with kisses, tickling her and making her laugh. She wanted her daddy back. She felt a pain twist in her chest causing her to whimper softly as she let go of him and crawled backwards, out of his lap and onto the bed. Tucking her legs under herself, she hunched over a little and stared down at the bed. Running her fingers along the sheets, she sniffled and with the back of one hand, wiped her nose.
She sat in that hunched over position for a minute or two before turning away and crawling back towards the pillows. Grabbing Mister Rex, she held the stuffed dinosaur against her chest and buried half her face into the plushie. What was wrong? Her mommy was...Somewhere. And her daddy was...Crimson eyes flickered up to him, hesitating. Could she tell him without him randomly leaving and shutting the door in her face again? She swallowed down the sick feeling that was starting to bubble in the pit of her stomach.
“...Daddy…” her voice quivered slightly, muffled also by the plushie in her hands. “I...just wanted a hug…”

Hakem Takashi✭Astrology Teacher! Love is not an Emotion It is a Constant State of Mind
She was so used to him, or rather she'd always known how to combat or flow with his quirks. She brushed it off entirely easy, letting him have his preference in something as simple as the scent he liked. He always expected it would be weird for anyone to be witness to, something worth the squench of brows and a fish-eyed stare. Maybe it was like that at first, but he wasn't accused of having issues for it. Instead he was accommodated lovingly, along with his obsession over coffee and smooth jazz music. Although he'd met his soul mate before her...Chitara. Chitara gave him the motivation and objective to be a better person like he'd always thirsted for. Tori, she took him how he was; being particular and antsy, possessive and sometimes even aggressive. She loved that Hakem, making the prospect of change seem unnecessary. He felt satisfied being who he was: the good and bad of himself, all of it was perfectly okay.
So he fell in love with her, and whoever that school thought they should be with became a nonfactor. With the memory of Chitara in the back of his mind, he commandeered Victoria's room fully prepared to paint the canvas of their future should she accept it. Knowing who his soul supposedly belonged to, he made the ginger a bath; washed and lotioned her by hand, dressed her and fed her like the precious diamond he was polishing so it shone with its truest excellence and beauty. And after watching the movie he knew she loved, he carried her to bed to show her all the more how much she meant to him. And it was then that in the darkness his proposal speckled across the abyss in florescent stars, and he pulled the ring from his pillow. When she accepted, he marked her. They'd been walking in synch ever since.
He hummed lowly in his chest, studying the healed over bite on her collar bone. "Rolling around until we find the right position, sounds like a great way to start the morning." He commented, folding his hands behind his head and bending one leg at the knee. It parted her legs and hitched her gown. He pushed his brows together and wrinkled his nose, letting the expression melt into a lazy one-sided grin. He paused to yawn, turning his face into the shelter of his arm. He needed his morning coffee.

His navy eyes blinked almost lifelessly down at her, cocking his head with what sympathy he had left. When she backed away again and grabbed mister rex, he sighed before rubbing the back of his neck tiredly. Rather than reply, he hoisted the toddler into his arms and sat her on his knee. He kept her back supported, bracing himself on his other leg. "Sela, dear. Daddy loves you more than anything in the world. No matter what's going on between me and mommy, it doesn't make me love you any less." He began with a strained patience. He rubbed her back briefly and lovingly pushed her hair back from her teary eyes. "But now things are changing again, just like they changed when daddy first met you. Little Sela, for a while you're either going to be with mommy or with daddy, but never both." He paused, inhaling and exhaling quietly. She wasn't talking whenever he asked these last few days, so he would say his piece and be done. "We are a family, you make us a family. The love it took to make you will always exist because of you. But, we aren't going to be the kind of family that lives together." And he'd never promised her they would, he always let her know he and Lil might be a family. He didn't know what the future would bring, and he was glad he'd told her that. "I know you saw mommy and daddy go on a date, we even woke up all together and went to the beach. But, now it's better that nothing like that happens at all. Mommy...you and mommy are my life and breath, but mommy tried to fall in love with someone else. So daddy's sad and having a hard time now that we can't be together anymore. Daddy knows you're having a hard time too. All of a sudden mommy is gone and daddy can't spend time with you. But we're going to be happy, all of us. Until then, Daddy needs you to be a big girl. You can't throw tantrums, and I never want to see you try and run away from home ever again. If you have something to say, then tell daddy. Daddy can't do anything about it if you won't tell him, and daddy won't be strong enough to take care of us if you're crying and not being a good girl, okay?" ═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ 『Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋Funds: $467.75』 『Temper┋Stress┋Happiness lvls:✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎』 "My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY Havens ═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ Out Of Chamomile:

Sela didn’t fight back as she was pulled onto her daddy’s knee, sniffling and hugging her dinosaur closer. Hearing her name, she slowly drifted her gaze up towards him. He loved her with all his heart? Just like her mommy always said. She looked away from him again, silent and listening. She felt a warm hand against her back and looked up at him as he pushed blue hair from her face. They were a family, but they couldn’t live together. Wasn’t that what families did? She had seen so many families in the park and just walking around with her mommy. Everyone else she had seen with their families, but hers- Why couldn’t she had her family as one either? Her brows wrinkled in close together, straining to understand his words. Some things she did, but others were just confusing for the toddler. What did he mean that she made them a family?
Mommy was gone? She knew she’d be staying with her daddy for a while and unable to see her mommy, but she didn’t know her mommy was gone. And what did he mean mommy tried to fall in love with someone else? She had been told her mommy hurt her daddy greatly, but not what she did. Is that...Is that why they were so mad at each other? Why would her mommy do that? Sela looked away from him, continuing to listen, almost feeling like she was in trouble for being who she was, but having more questions than she ever had before. Wiping her eyes with a tiny fist, she sniffled again and huffed out a ragged breath as she stared down at Mister Rex. She had to be a big girl, huh? Is that what would make her daddy happy? She didn’t even know the first thing about being a big girl.
She didn’t like seeing her daddy so sad, or her mommy. With her mommy, it seemed easier to cheer her up. All she had to do was crawl in bed with her and cuddle, and her mommy’s tears instantly went away. With her daddy...He wanted her to be a big girl. That’s apparently what would make him happy. There...Wasn’t there a lady here? One of the new scents she could smell, it smelled feminine. Maybe she could ask her. Whenever she met her…”Daddy…” Sela let go of the plushie, setting it on the bed, “Who are those people?”

【 "Imagine if the life that you thought you shared, xxxxWasn't really there... 】 A small mix between a gasp and grunt left her lips, which only parted in response to the hitch in his leg. Her dark blue, silky nightgown pressed up her ivory skin, revealing moon kissed thigh and the edge of her black, swim-like underwear. She lifted her head away from his chest to stare back down at him with the slightest glint of a smile. The yawn, however, did not go unnoticed. "Hnph. I'll go get your coffee fix, then we can wrestle for who gets to be on top." She purred slightly, the corners of her lips tugging into a kitten smile. Slowly she rolled off of him, pressing her feet against the dark wood floor. It was cold.. But certainly not something the Washington girl couldn't handle. Her red strands fell against her shoulders, down to just above her breasts which were laced in a black outline to fit the top of the nightgown. Slipping to the other end of the room toward their luggage, she knelt down into his in particular, shifting through the first couple of zippers until pulling out a small packet. Oh she knew him too well - with his 'expensive as hell' coffees he insisted on bringing everywhere he went. Only grinds fit for a king.
Dangling it into her fingers, she gave him one last glance before exiting the room, heading back down the way they had come in. Er.. Wherever the kitchen might be. It took the ginger several times upon wandering around the house just to find it. And even then, she hadn't the slightest clue if Tyrese owned a coffee pot. Oh well, guess she'd have to snoop for a bit. She lingered over a few cabinets, brushing them with her fingertips before glancing over the counters. What kind of monster woke up in the morning without his coffee? 【 ...It was made up in your mind.xxxx Could be anyone, anywhere." 】

We'll, the other adults were awake it seemed. And late, considering it was past noon. Figuring the body shuffling through his home needed help, he kissed Sela on her forehead and pulled back her blankets to tuck her in. Tonight, she'd be switching rooms so the Takashi pair could be in one bed. The room didn't smell like puke anymore, so. He covered Sela and passed her the tray with juice and crackers. "That's my aunt and uncle. You'll get to meet them later. For now daddy wants you to stay in bed and rest until dinner. I'm going to cook lunch now, so stay put and watch tv." He handed her the remote after turning to the history channel. She'd been here often enough to know how to change the tv settings, she should be fine for a while. Patting his daughter's head, he closed the door behind himself and walked to the kitchen. His aunt was there looking for something, probably coffee since none had been there before then. He knew from high school how dependent his uncle was to the caffeine. "Its on the bottom shelf of the pantry." He informed, opening the double door to the mentioned storage and removing the double brewer. He placed it on the island counter, plugging it in and moving to the sink for water. While he acknowledged her should get dressed, more than half the day was spent and there was no reason to bother. "Soup should work for Sela, right? I'm making her stay in bed." He asked, shifting over to the fridge so she could make coffee. Her crimson eyes squeezed shut as her daddy kissed her, opening back up once he had leaned away. Blinking up at him, she glanced over to the blankets before crawling off his lap and back towards the pillows. She was still tired. Wiggling her way down so she was laying back, she stared up at him in silence and a steady gaze; watching him. There wasn’t a real reason to be staring at him, but there was nothing else to look at, at the moment. Her small arms came out from under the blankets to rest atop them as the tray was passed to her. The second the sound of the TV came on, her attention was quickly diverted. The history channel; her favorite! The tiniest of smiles came to her lips as she watched and focused on the TV.
Sela’s head turned slightly in his direction at the sound of his voice, her eyes never leaving the screen. He said something about her meeting them later, but the rest went over her head, too engrossed in learning about the Mayan calendar; which was currently being shown. Grabbing a cracker, she nibbled into a corner and nodded along to whatever it was he was saying until he was finished. When she heard the door close, she glanced to the door before returning her attention to the TV.

Hakem Takashi✭Astrology Teacher! Love is not an Emotion It is a Constant State of Mind
Oh yeah, definitely knew his routine, she even found his stash. Its not like he knew what kind of coffee other people would have! This way he didn't have to go out and buy any, and if they had a brand he would drink- he could save that much more of his until the next time. The male groaned, his palm pressed to his forehead as he sat up. Good all mighty savior, he moved too fast after waking up, he felt lightheadedness working the span of his cortex. With a shake of his head, the wolf got out of bed and careened over to his suit case, kneeling down to find his grey sweat suit for easy wear. Spending an entire day in bed, was the best. However, tomorrow they should tour the town a little, visit the beach if the weather was good. He began to spend more time in the water ever since meeting Victoria, he was a stronger swimmer now, that much could be said.
The male dressed and padded along the corridor, hearing a television as he cocked his ear slightly upwards. He made a bet on following the clank of pots and pans instead, and held the railing to brace himself down the stairs. He yawned into his hand, leaning to peek into the kitchen. Just adults. Hakem walked in and climbed up onto a bar stool, then blinking between faces as he figured he could be no help here. His gaze seemed to make Ty slightly tense, probably bracing for the obvious and overdo question in the air. The uncle let it go without auditory admission, since Ty would likely say it on his own. In the mean time, he glanced at the coffee pot and grabbed a green apple to munch on. Mm, silence.

This time she came with a nice container full of her father's savory hot pot recipe. It had lots of meats and spices. She also decided to come closer to midday instead of early like last time. The young violinist also had her violin on her, as she was going to practice in the park. Gently, she knocked on the door, hoping for a do over.

Sela woke up late again. Three days in a row, that wasn’t like her. What made it worse? It was Saturday, and Saturdays were special for her and her mommy. Sitting up in bed, she looked down at the new comforter of the bed she had been moved to after her daddy’s aunt and uncle took the room she had been using. It felt so...weird. Maybe because the other room had only been used by her and she felt comfortable in the fact that it smelled like her; at least a little bit. This room...It was a combination of her daddy, her daddy’s aunt and uncle, and no one. Her toes curled inwards at the uncomfortable feeling of the new room. Who knew something so simple could unnerve her so much? Turning her crimson gaze upwards, she smacked her lips and rolled over onto her stomach as she pushed herself out of the bed. Once her feet touched the ground, she walked over to her bag of clothes and got dressed.
She couldn’t hear anything going on downstairs, except for the knocking on the door. If she were allowed to answer it, she would, but until she was old enough she’d obey her daddy. Big girls listened to their parents right? He wanted a big girl. Sela nodded to herself firmly, a look of determination on her face. She’d be the best big girl ever! No way she’d let her daddy down. After getting dressed, she slowly opened the bedroom door and looked out around the hall. It didn’t look like anyone else was up either. Maybe that meant whoever was at the door would go away. She hoped so.
Walking out of the room, she made her way towards the bathroom, climbing up to the sink so she could brush her teeth. Huffing and grunting as she tried to reach the sink, using the toilet as a stool, she finished brushing her teeth and set her toothbrush on the side of the sink. Climbing down, she quietly padded her way down the stairs, making sure to hold onto the railing so she wouldn’t fall. Once making it downstairs, she looked around before moving towards the backyard and reaching up for the door. She was feeling better enough to go playing outside, and she felt confined having not left the house, or bed, in two days. Like she might go crazy! Once the door opened for her, she smiled to herself as fresh air wafted up her nose. Inhaling deeply as she pushed open the door, she crept outside, closing the door behind her.
