"I know, Taro... which is why I always made sure you had your shots, too." But Tam has never had a shot before and suddenly he is shivering uncontrollably. "Wha... what the heck!" he moans wrapping his arms about himself to keep them under control. "Sh...shar... what's wrong with me?"

"Damn... he's having a reaction to the shot... kind of like shock. Help me get him to a bed before he passes out," but Tam has already gone limp in the chair so she calls for help from a massing priest and between the two of them they wrestle the gangly bard into the nearest bed while Kero watched on nervously.

Shar looks back at him and tries to smile. "He'll be alright in a bit. Some people's bodies don't tolerate invasion very well. And well... no matter how you look at it, a shot is an invasion."

She nods and feels Tam's forehead, then takes his pulse. "Uhuh... putting something... anything... into the body is always a risk. But the benefits oftentimes outweigh those risks. The diseases we can control or prevent are so horrible and debilitating that episodes like this are worth enduring. He'll be fine, Kero... his heart rate is slightly elevated though... so let's convince him to stay put when he comes to. And don't tease him, ok... I've known many a great man who's passed out after receiving a shot. Help me put a few more blankets on him. His lizards seem to have deserted him for the grate. Guess they're cold, too."

"Huh!" she jumps up with a start and stares down at the creature and sighs. "How many of these little guys did you bring with you, Kero. They are all over the place."

Sighing, the healer shoos the lizard back to the fire and turn to sit down, picking up her book and reaching for her cocoa at the same time.

This time she nearly squishes the tiny creature and jumps in alarm as it takes off to the fire on it's own. Shar glares at the cat, understanding coming a bit slow, but she now knows what is going on. "Kerobian..." she growls, but her words are cut off by a moan from the bed.

Tam's eyes flutter open and he stares blankly at the ceiling. "Wha... how... where am I..." he finally gets out in a puzzled voice.

"I wouldn't be squishing them, if you hadn't been putting them there in the first place, you little stinker." growls Shar walking over to the bed. When Tam starts to sit up she pushes him back down. "Stay put, sirra. You're warm, the room ain't spinning and you've no where else you need to be.. don't rush it, ok?"

Tam sighs, I surely do hope you were a bit more respectful than that when I was yer Dama..." he grumbles testily. "One should never be insulting to a lady..."
