{I thought of something. What if the letter Van and Mala send the twins is what reveals to Daemon who they are? Unless he already knows, of course.}

Van chuckled to himself as imagined Kai and Larai's expressions when hearing the news. He had to debate for a while on whether or not to explain how he was the one pregnant before finally deciding to do so. He figured it would get them back here sooner. He also did mention of course the kidnapping scare. "Let's see how mommy's doing with your room, hm?" Van said as he went to check on Mala, holding Anise against his chest after sending the letter off.
((I almost forgot how to spell pregnant. XD ))

Mala was etching some strange magical runes onto the walls of Anise's room. It went from looking like an ordinary bedroom to looking like a glowing sanctum for a baby wizard during the time that Mala fixed it up.

"Laraaaaiiiiiiii...." Kai called to his sister after receiving their father's letter. Well, first he stared in worry, confusion, and dumbfounded horror, then he called to her once he could form speech again.

Larai was currently lounging on a very nice and recently stolen couch, picking and repairing her favorite lock repetatively. Once Kai came over to her with that horrified expression and the zombie-like moan, she couldn't help but become worried. "What is it, Kai? You didn't get mud poisoning again, did you?"

Larai read the letter, getting up to the point after Van explained that they were once again expecting yet before he explained who exactly was carrying the baby. "...Holy hell! Mom and Dad breed like rabbits, I swear!" she moaned with with much embarassment. After reading further, though, she lost all faith in the legitimacy of the pregnancy bit. "Kai, they're probably just trying to mess with our heads again. They are doing that, right? Right?"
