Nora was fairly certain she had never had a harder time in a quidditch game. Sure, it often took way too long to catch the snitch, but at least she usually saw it. No such luck today as of yet.

Easy peasy! Sky grabbed the snitch and slowed her flight. She whistled sharply, then called out "I CAUGHT IT! LET'S GET OUT OF THIS SNOW!" She carefully landed back down, dropping into the snow that immediately fell into her shoe. She squawked and wiggled her foot to try and remove the cold. It was stupid out here.

Yarrick's arm was finally fully healed and pain free again, meaning she was expected to play. Her bad swings, she'd blamed on the weather of the previous match, but today there was no excuse. Her long hair was tied into pigtails, which was a bit abnormal for her. Hopefully today would be a good match for the Eagles. Sure, they'd won their last match, since Syd was able to catch faster than a second year, but today he'd be faced off against Nora Dashwood. It was a lot stiffer competition. Plus, she knew the chasers had been mad about the last game, but the Slytherin chasers had been on some next-level nonsense.

The last game had... not been great. Between himself, Everly, and Naomi, no one could keep hold of the quaffle... though the Slytherins certainly hadn't had the same issue. Lewis had gotten anyone he could to practice with him, wanting to make sure they wouldn't have such a disappointing outcome next time. He stepped onto the pitch, goggles tucked in messy hair as a grin slid onto his face.

After a rather shameful performance, Everly had spent several hours making her brother practice with her. It was something she wanted to correct before this new game. Luckily, Lewis and Yarrick had both been healed up and seemed to be doing great, meaning their team would be at full strength. Now they just had to beat Hufflepuff for a chance at overall victory. Kai wished her luck and jogged off to the bench, leaving Everly to do stretches in preparation.

It was a wonderfully sunny day, especially after a rather bleak winter. Bee had been watching the other games, and knew of Ravenclaw's.... issues last game. Hopefully their chasers would continue to fumble... no wait, that was kinda mean. Maybe they'd put up a good fight, but also let Hufflepuff score a few times against them. There. That seemed nicer. Bieito did a few stretches, humming a jovial tune all the while.

‘It’s a lovely day,’ thought Linsey, as she walked out to the pitch for her squad’s last game of the year, relishing the feel of the sun upon her face and the warm breeze. ‘Couldn’t ask for better flying weather.’ Last match for the Eagles was a win, though it sure didn’t look much like one, but an ugly win was still a win. Slytherin’s Chasers were just on fire, seemingly able to score at will, while the Eagles never made it past the mid-field stripe. Worse were all the injuries, including Yarrick’s broken arm, incurred during the match. As for Linsey, what she thought was the beginning of one of her SADS episodes turned out to be the cusp of a nasty bout with the flu which landed her in the Hospital Wing, after sitting with Yarrick, who really needed the company.

Today though, they were facing the Badgers, anchored by Nora Dashwood, so Syd would be up against a veteran Seeker this time, instead of some unfortunate and outmatched Second Year with little match experience. ‘We need the Snitch, one goal to tie Gryffindor, two to get ahead, and three would be a bit more insurance, to have a shot at the Cup. We have our chances, we just need to take care of business on our end.”

Taking to the pitch, Linsey saw two of three of their Chasers, and Yarrick were already present. They certainly looked better now than they did after last match’s drubbing, which she took to be a good sign. The smile Linsey had was genuine and not being forced through a headache, as she greeted her friends, giving them final words of encouragement and letting them know how much faith she had in all of them.

Naomi had been practicing with her friends for quidditch since the last game. Her friends? She actually had friends for the first time in her life. They had taken her book away (Was that an accident? Kai had been curios but then he accidentally had a tic and threw the book. It worked to make her move at least), and pulled her to the field - and she had fun. They weren't great at quidditch, but they were trying. When they weren't trying... well Naomi threw a quaffle at their face and that sure made them react.

Naomi was ready for the game, or she hoped so at least.

Flick dragged themself out onto the field, it wasn't going to be a bad day, it was never a bad day for quidditch. they were just, feeling unease about everything in life, and wanted to stay in bed on this nice day. Maybe they could whack enough bludgeons and take out a player or two, and they could go inside sooner...or not because then the house would be partying for their victory.

Flick sighed, and sat down, not warming up - just waiting for the game to start.
