Once in the air, she watched Roxie grab on the toss up, before she took off in a quest to find the snitch. Maybe she could get lucky and end this frozen nightmare.

Maybe Nic should have been paying more attention to the chasers, but Flick was getting on his nerves. Sure she missed so the joke was on her but the second year was still getting a bit mouthy. Taking her down a bit of a peg would have a bit of satisfaction for Nic. Plus she'd have a harder time as a beater. And after the game someone would fix her up. No harm.

Nic has wound up and swung with both hands on the bat when he misjudged the bludger and it slammed into his left thigh. Nic said a variety of profanity that his dad probably didn't care about but his mum would have. That is what he got for playing with not a clear head. Unfortunately nothing was clear in the cold snow swirling around him.

Nora circled the field, her eyes peeled for the snitch. That was nearly impossible in the snow. This was ridiculous. She couldn't even see any of the bludgers that had come near here. The chances of spotting the snitch felt next to nothing.
