If not for Saiken truth be told perhaps Toso would have lost his patience some time ago.
Then calmly and tenderly as if coaxing a small animal she'd again defer to Isobu "Isobu. What my host is trying to accomplish. He is trying to find a connection with yours. One that will bring this bloody battle to its end. There is no one else in this room that knows your host better than you. If you want to help, if you want to know what to do, tell us about your host so that we may better understand them. __ She listened as Shinji began the dialogue by stating the importance of the generations who would follow in Tosokurui's footsteps. He was followed by his kage who maintained the open dialogue in the room. The summoning of the huge Maneki-Neko that damaged the office had startled her as well. After the kage spoke Kagami would chime in as well with a pleasant tone to Naoki directly. "I need someone to tell me what's happening on the ground and to make sure that Sandayu is okay. Could you do this and report back please?" Kagami's confidence seemed to fade as worry cracked in her voice during her request of Naoki. While Kagami certainly had no issue with damaging the office and general disruption she wanted to put Naoki's surveillance skills to better use. Not to mention that if the conversation escalated to violence that Kagami was more than capable of handling herself plus she had Obei here to help. She looked back at Toso when she heard her name.
When he spoke he questioned her plan further. She had the ear of the goddess Evergreen through Sandayu so she was certain that she could create such a powerful seal. However, her neutral facial expression drooped when Toso asked a follow-up question on if she needed this to happen for another reason. Her eyes were downturned at the corners and revealed that his question struck a chord with her. When Toso continued in his soft but pleading tone her face twisted further. Her eyes glistened before welling up with tears as she looked at him. She revealed complete vulnerability before she looked away at the end of his speech to rub her eyes. She wheezed and fought back until she gave in to the sobbing. After she took a few moments to collect herself from her weeping she would speak. "I'm pregnant with Sandayu's child. Don't you understand why I have to do this? I have to kill you, destroy this village, and finish Kogarashi's mission or the villages will get enough strength to take revenge on me and my family." Her voice poured out with raw emotion as her red eyes revealed the same to the Arashikage. She placed a hand on her belly as tears flowed again and her maternal instincts dominated her facial expression. Kagami then looked at Kameyo after she spoke. "Chakra has a way of destroying and killing on a scale much larger than swords, bows and arrows, and all UHV tech. If you want to hold onto your frail belief of mutually assured destruction then be my guest!" The Kogarashi leader shouted emotionally before placing a hand over her mouth. She then glanced at Kameyo remorsefully. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout...I just." There was an emotional shaking in her voice before she looked back at Toso. She sighed before turning her gaze to the PA system. "I want to tell the people who live in this village that there's another way." With her speech in hand, she was prepared to use the device to project her voice once she collected herself. She took several deep breaths but noticeably hesitated and waited for Toso to respond to her.

Isobu listened to Matatabi first and began shaking and squirming in his shell at the idea of being over against Kagami. As events transpired in the room between the three Jinchuuriki Isobu listened to Saiken. Saiken's voice calmed him and allowed his squirming to come to an end. He floated in the water in his prison quietly as Kagami spoke and then would add to it. "I-I-It's true what she says. She's going to have a baby and she worries for the world her child will see and what might happen to the child at the hands of her enemies" The turtle struggled to speak when all he wanted to do was retract back into his shell and wait for the awful storm to pass. "M-Matatabi, I can't take...action... against her because if I do then that innocent life will die." He spoke as honestly as he could and was honestly just hoping that his more forthright sibling would not be mad at him for refusing her suggestion. "K-K-Kagami...she knows that this is the point of...no return." She sighed this statement out before he was asked about Choumei. When Saiken mentioned Choumei's name the turtle began wheezing loudly. The painful memory of Choumei's screams while Sandayu tortured his sibling and he was too scared to stop it. His head fully retracted into his shell as he continued the sorrowful moaning and would not speak on the subject. He simply waited inside of his shell to listen to Matatabi and Saiken's counsel.

Kameyo's eyes softened as Kagami revealed she was pregnant, and that this war was an act of desperation. The rogue bit back a sigh, looked at everyone in the room, then let it free anyways. She didn't want to show sympathy, because this was someone who wanted to destroy Arashigakure. But... she also understood wanting to be someone better. "Aw, geez... If you seal away all of the chakra in the world after destroying the village, it's gonna take longer to tend to the wounded and rebuild the village, and everyone will want your head on a platter. You'll be on the run for the rest of your probably short life, if you make it out of this village at all. And what kind of life is that for a child?
"You have the choice, right now, to go on that intercom and tell everything that everything will be okay, that the battle is over, and that they can stop evacuating. They can gather their loved ones and rebuild whatever has been ruined during the panic, and they can cherish each other in the safety of the village. And you can put the choice in your child's hands to choose peace over violence in the future, too."
After her words, she shrugged it off, as if she didn't care one way or another, but it was just a ploy to delay her emotional response. The healer, the fixer in her, wanted to coddle Kagami and wipe her tears, but the rogue, the killer in her, had to stay vigilant and tense. She didn't trust the one of few words, Obei. And Kameyo did her best not to try and break her arm for punching a hole in the office, fuming quietly at the sight of it.
Now that Haji' was actually quiet and listening he had a better idea of the situation. He also had the chance to look the other two ladies up and down. A pretty one, the leader with blue hair and, by the sage...Hajime watched as the large Oni woman bust down a whole wall. His face pink staring at her, he looked her up and down. He must have a thing for tall ladies because he seemed to not be able to stop staring. Then Kagami ordered Naoki to leave and he spoke up. "HEY! Wait a moment, you can't go!" His attention was back on the 'b***h' as he called her. "Stay right where you're at, no one leaves. We continue our negotiat-" He was cut off by Kagami's sobbing and grew quiet before hearing her revelation. Haji's hands had been on his blades but he let them hang to his sides and shut his mouth. Realizing the grown ups were talking, finally. He was standing by Kameyo as he looked from Naoki, to Kagami then back to Obei, trying to catch sight of her eyes.

Shinji couldn't necessarily disagree with his kage. The existence of war wasn't directly correlated with the existence of chakra; but he couldn't disagree with Kagami either. She was right. Chakra did open an avenue for more wanton destruction than blades and bows. The weapons of the modern age were certain to get more potent. There was no avoiding that. The question was, would they reach that stage in the lifetime of anyone alive now? The possibility was always there. All it would take was one breakthrough in technology to open a gateway to complete devastation. Even if her plan was still completely delusional, it made sense that she wouldn't want to raise a child in this environment.
His eyes softened, and the tension of fear he felt melted away into understanding. Shinji wanted to ask about this Sandayu person, but now wasn't the time. He stood and rested his scythe against the wall behind him, grabbing a tissue and making a tentative walk towards Kagami. Offering the cloth to the blue haired woman, he gave her a sheepish smile. "This is a good lesson for us all to learn from, right? There's always more to the story," his tone was soft and soothing; Shinji's knack for reading people helped him sympathize when empathy wasn't an option. He would never know what it was like to carry a child inside of him, but he could develop an understanding for what it might be to want a more peaceful world to raise your offspring.
"How long?" His question wasn't prying. It was an attempt to further bridge the humanity showing through Kagami's initial visage. If bloodshed brought about more bloodshed, he was curious of what generosity would generate. Would it breed more human connections, or would it only further the greed of others? The thoughts of a young genin who was raised with cynicism. Shinji's mind worked on a wavelength of maturity that was clearly beyond his years. The darkness surrounding his clan allowed at least this one young light to shine... but this young light took things with a grain of salt.
Shinji couldn't help the voice in the back of his mind who was questioning everything Kagami had said. If she didn't plan to back down, she had played them all a fool. Preaching to their humanity using a pregnancy revelation lowered their guard. At this point, if she wanted, she could speak through the PA and bolster the morale of her forces and worsen the already terrible situation. He pushed the thoughts back, but they weren't completely gone. His sheepish smile spread into a warmer, inviting grin. Shinji was glad that deeper than the surface was a woman doing exactly as Toso had predicted: a woman who wanted to spare an innocent life of the hardships of this damned world.
Having assumed Naoki had departed, the remnants of the room being the giant woman, the boy, Shion and Kameyo aside the two leaders. Toso would fold his hands on his lap...closed his eyes and listened to the weeping woman. A single tear of his own. Toso was never one to show emotion and thus this in itself was a miracle all its own. An unheard conversation between Saiken and its host would occur. When Kameyo and Shinji chimed in. Toso would open his eyes and divert them to Kameyo sliding to their corners, sliding to Shinji, then slowly sliding back to Kagami. "It's not so simple as that lady Kameyo, lessons don't solve existing problems, and such a speech declaring a sudden laying down of arms would be uncharacteristic of Lady Kagami and the woman she's portrayed herself to be to the people she leads. Wouldn't it lady Kagami?" The kage would say, as much of an optimist as he was, he was also a realist. There was no easy solution. Oh, how he wished it were so easy, as he likely also believed Kagami wished. Toso would look out to the window smoke rising from below the clouds. This was the burden of leadership not many understood. To one another's factions, they were the beacons of inspiration, their hope, their drive, and to some select few especially on Kagami's side their reason for living. He would say then somewhat somberly. "Her followers would believe her to be under some kind of compulsion, not unlike if I made the order to surrender with no premise." Eyes like steel pools of mercury would find themselves looknig over Kagami once more. "There is always another way Lady Kagami. bloop. Sometimes it's simply difficult to find it on one's own. bloop. For a woman who so despises the destructive capability of chakra only to see its use here and now only attests to the pain you've endured to get here bloop." Most people wouldn't call that pain, most people would call that straight hypocrisy, but Toso knew, Kagami wasn't Sandayu's keeper, even is she was the bearer of his child. The man's actions and beliefs were his own and deep down Toso knew that Kagami knew this aswell and love worked in mysterious ways.
He'd look back to Kagami eye to eye. "Perhaps you've already realized it, you're a smart woman. I've no doubt you have. " Toso closed his eyes and would commune with Kagami through the mindscape reserved for the jinchurikki. Shion would, of course, be excluded as was anyone else in the room. This was just Toso and Kagami. "After all, one can't take revenge on something they believe doesn't exist bloop. You're a master of illusions Lady Kagami. All it will take is one simple illusion. An illusion which will erase the existence of the woman known as Kagami and her family which never existed for as long as you desire. An illusion which will have you seen as a martyr for what you believed in both bringing an end to this war and yet still inspiring those beliefs in the words you say from this very Pa system. To everyone...the woman known as Kagami Leader of Kogarashi will have died and have been reborn as a loving wife silently with her husband who she quietly informed to run away with her. All in all, does this not seem the better option? Starting over enjoying life, and perhaps you and I in secret, as time goes on, finding that 'other way' that doesn't beget bloodshed." The implications of which Toso was suggesting was one that Kagami sought an answer to when she first arrived by killing Toso. The death of a leader both brings war to its end and inspires as much as it demoralizes and Toso's death wouldn't accomplish the woman's desire of a peaceful life for her and her child and only perpetuate that endless cycle of razing village after rebuilt village until she could accomplish her 'seal'. Kagami a master of Genjutsu surely had the means to accomplish death 'without' dying and Toso was more than willing to aid her in this venture despite what a negative light it would paint him in currently.
Opening his eyes one last reprise as he looked at the woman with reddened eyes. None would be able to see the inconspicuous tentacle on account of his sitting position slinking into the pool of ink where the clone resided where he sat. "In the end, your life is your own Lady Kagami. As is, how you wish to live it. bloop." He'd make the presenting hand motion towards the PA system as if saying the floor was hers before addressing the room with his focus on Shinji's question uncertain if it was referring to how long the woman's speech was or how long until she was due. "She'll take as long as she needs, and 'that' will take as long as she's willing to share." The squid coughed. "Ahem, bloop. I'd like to make it known, so help me, if anyone takes any actions to impede lady Kagami from speaking. I will personally stop you myself bloop. Even if those words contain anything that would damage my reputation and credibility as a leader." As it was Toso's reputation was already shitty. A man that hoists a village into the sky without his villager's awareness, a man just replacing what was the FOUNDER of the village itself in what seemed like out of nowhere, not to mention the impending secession from the land of lightening of which he intended to tell his advisors but not change his mind, a man with a record of rumors believing him to be some duplicitous lech that steals ladies undergarments among other things, as far as Toso was concerned he was at the bottom and from the bottom there is only one place to go, rock bottom, and up, even if he was to reach rock bottom, which he no doubt would likely 'killing' a pregnant woman after preaching peace...he'd hopefully have enough people that believed in him to help him claw his way back up. That said. One last mental transmission before she'd speak. "You need only give me a signal if you desire this outcome bloop. I promise I will see to it your subordinates live and perhaps some unknown 'someone' may free them at a later date." Toso Actions:

"I see." Isbou didn't need to say anything his silence in regards to their sister meant only one thing, that whatever happened wasn't good and with that in mind Saiken assumed the worst. "Tabi it seems Mei has been scattered to the winds. I felt the same thing with Gyu." She'd then start to manifest floating bubbles around Isobu in his captivity. It wasn't much but at the very least it would give something pleasant to look at and in that maybe it would be enough to coax her borther.
"Isobu. Whatever happened. It is not your fault. It is not your fault you are confined to the body of a host like us. What can only be done is to make the best of a bad situation. __ Kagami continued to break down in tears as Kameyo spoke. Her irritated eyes looked at her and nodded in acceptance of her point. However, as Toso went on to explain that none of this was as simple as her suggestion to take the intercom and concede victory. When Shinji spoke to her she looked at him while wiping tears away. "Maybe a month?" It was likely less than that as she was not showing even slightly yet but it was a very rough estimation. Toso then received her full attention as the soon-to-be mother collected herself. Kagami already calculated that today would be a loss for Kogarashi. The Storm village was far more prepared for their invasion than the Whirlpool and they were likely keeping up a mighty defense to even Sandayu's advancements all the while the real village remained unscathed. Naoki and Haji had left the area as she went to act on her orders. The enchantress listened to Toso in the office with the others but did not verbally respond. When they were able to converse in private using their jinchuuriki powers she would nod to his proposition. "Uzukage Chie Saegahara stood in the way of progress and had to die by my hand. You don't so you're not my enemy. But if Sandayu finds his way here then I cannot stop his fury. Arashigakure's slaughtering of the Iga Clan is what brought him here on the warpath as the lone survivor. When you 'kill' me I'll hide from the world with my child but when I return it will change." She spoke privately with Toso in the jinchuuriki telepathy. It was a bargain that Kagami didn't expect that she'd take but motherhood was changing her. Sandayu was right that she should not have come to fight to begin with. In the end, if Sandayu successfully destroyed them then her goal would be achieved but if he failed then at least Kagami had a safe out and a powerful ally in Toso for her revolution. Once their conversation concluded she pulled the intercom toward her lips and straightened out the pages of her speech in front of her. After clearing her throat she would press the button and confidently begin."My name is Kagami Hari and I'm the leader of Kogarashi. I've got no doubt that you've heard terrible things about us but I want to show you how you might have the wrong impression. The village system is corrupted and rotten to the core. They take your children and raise them to be soldiers under the authority of the totalitarian kage. You're led by Tosokurui Ashi Hojo, but who chose him? The twins who disappeared and abandoned you? When have you ever had a say over your own destiny? The walls and towers around you in your flying village may make you feel safe but in reality, it's a cage made of many bars. Removing one bar won't free you but destroying the bars as they systematically connect to entrap you is what Kogarashi are here for as your liberators. This change will displace you and I deeply apologize for that. In the end, the reason you're all here is because the villages decided to declare war on each other for power. The Raikage wanted an empire and the UHV wanted power. They turned all of you into refugees and stuck you together under an authoritarian regime and for what? Their own benefit and not your's. Once the villages are defeated you'll be free to start your own life without tyranny because Kogarashi will not rule you. When it's time we'll take all the chakra out of this world so that we're all equal and the tyranny of the shinobi way will end permanently." Kagami spoke in a kind voice with slow pacing and cadence in her speech. She was not focused on the others in the room when she spoke. She desperately needed to get her points across to the population. It was then that Kagami filled her vocal cords with chakra but would not aim it at anybody in the Spire but instead through the intercom. "You all must leave this village right now with your families and belongings to start a new life without the tyranny of the village and don't let any of the oppressors stop you. That is all." Kagami gave her order to the population in their emergency bunkers using the power of an incredible genjutsu to ensure that they would overcome their fears and do what was best for themselves. Kagami released her finger from the speaker button and smiled wickedly at Toso, Kameyo, and Shinji who had been pathetically arguing or pleading with her to change her mind. "I can't believe you fools fell for my tears. I know it works every time but I can't help but marvel at it. You all think that you're good people but you saw in me what you wanted to see, the helpless villain that you could change. It's true that I'm pregnant, but I won't stop until this village falls! I just cast a massive genjutsu in the last sentence of my speech so your entire population should be revolting and escaping as we speak." Kagami just needed to manipulate them for long enough to let her get her message and illusionary command out. She then stood from her seat and winked at Toso to enact their plan while pointing at him. "Are you going to stop me?! A weakling like you would never dare to kill a pregnant woman!' She then laughed hysterically at him as her plan all along was unfolding and she waited for the Kage's reaction.

Isobu was comforted by the bubbles and kind words as his head came out of his shell. He reached out and poked at the bubbles as if to establish a physical connection with Saiken that he could not while imprisoned. His wailing ceased as Saiken spoke and he nodded when she mentioned him standing up for himself. He took a moment to ponder before expressing his connection with his host. "I-I don't always agree with her but I do...care about her. We've been through so much together. When K-K-Kirigakure fell I escaped the Sero and was sealed into her. This brought her much suffering and pain over five years but we grew together and now we have a...bond." Isobu was incredibly conflicted by these feelings of connection with his host. He knew that she used his powers frequently as a weapon for her own goals but he was also certain that she treated him like a living being and did seem to genuinely care for him. Saiken and Toso sounded like a blissful friendship and while his with Kagami was more complicated at least it was not as abusive as Sandayu with Choumei from what he observed.

It would have been stupid to act as if they weren't a unified front, but Toso assuring Kagami that he would personally stop anyone in that room from preventing her speech made her blood run cold. Was he really going to betray the village to avoid a little bloodshed against Kogarashi?
Kagami's subordinate went to leave but took Hajime with her, who took fabric from her shirt before he was stolen from the room with some fuuin. Kameyo jumped at having her clothes torn, turned to see that her pupil was genuinely gone and panicked internally. The rational side of her brain said that he would be fine - that the subordinate wouldn't be so stupid as to kill him after all the talking in this room - but the more feral part of her brain wanted to burn the seal user to the ground. Kameyo tried not to look unsettled but she fumed silently, unable to attack Kagami or demand anything of her while she spoke into the intercom, lest she want to face Toso's wrath (and she did not).
When Kagami revealed her ruse, Kameyo looked directly to Toso, hand tightening on the kunai. "I'll kill her." She spoke honestly. "Give me the word and it is done." Her arms were shaking from the force of the tendrils trapped underneath, threatening to tear from her skin and into Kagami.
Kagami would begin her tirade, what he assumed was her convincing charade. But the sound of ticking from his desk said otherwise. The device Trefles had made for thus such an occasion. Toso closed his eyes with a stoicism to rival the air of irritation in the room. To say he wasn't upset would be a lie, to think Kagami 'needed' to use a Genjutsu to get 'this' point across only spoke to Toso as a 'why' but then his anger calmed the instant it came, it couldn't be so simple. "I am a weakling..." The desk shook violently and then suddenly what would seem to be a wave of some sort of ethreal refreshing wind filled the room. Tiny sparkles like little stars illuminating the room while being pleasant to the touch. It would feel like having taken a trip to the beach, like having just gone on vacation, the scent of passion fruit accompanying it. This wave could be seen passed the window as it blanketed the village. Yup, THAT MAN made this alright. With Kagami's threat, the wetness of the floor would be felt on the edge of her toes.
"This is why I place my hopes in the strength of others to support me. Lady Kameyo...let me never forget..." Toso opened his eyes and smiled, but the smile was one of mystery, was it success, was it anguish? From the ink puddle, the puddle made from the ink clone that had made a mess of the floor which spread across its width. The tentacle of which could avoid any means of sensory detection due to the Ukyo's ability to hide such things from any sensory means such as doujutsu that had slide and hid itself from the view by diving into the ink of the chair. "now" he would give warning to Kagami as he finished his sentence in the exact moment in time that it occurred some good seconds before it occurred, enough time he was certain her eyes could achieve. To anyone else perhaps, someone who hadn't been given this warning, it very well could have been an unavoidable death and it was in that Toso relied on making the believability of it more concrete. "What I've done here today... no context it would leave Kameyo to wonder in this moment of confusion, he closed his eyes again calmly and said a foreign word. "Brochette." Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhink. The sound of something long, thin, sharp, and hard. In what would seem like to others in an instant, the 'prepared' Kagami would be skewered through her stomach by a tentacle that had a needle-like point shooting out of it which had launched itself from the dark murky premeditated ink puddle. Then he'd give Shion an order through their connection. "Shion watch the large woman." He'd slowly open his eyes another word. The shock of this occurring to a pregnant person being the validation for a technique executed before Obei could even lift a muscle. "Spiedino." and like that the other five tentacles emerged from the inky puddle thoroughly skewering the woman in all directions and then splitting her apart. Each limb still respectively having a piece of her on it in a gruesome execution. Something the fake body genjutsu was more than capable of.
Eyes on Kameyo, which then directed her to Obei to detain her if she reacted violently if Shion hadn't done so. Toso then stood up slowly, and approached the pa system. Walking calmly past the now-massive amounts of 'blood' that filled the room that stained his dress shoes as they made a distinguishing clatter towards the device. Hopefully the real Kagami 'somewhere' would hear the following. Yet the eerieness if not cold-bloodedness of Toso's stoicism remaining even as he was now standing next to the suspended dismembered 'corpse' of a pregnant woman would no doubt be unsettling. "Attention Arashigakure, this is your kage Tosokurui Ashikoki Hojo speaking, you may feel strange, this is because you have all been simultaneously kai'd of a village-wide genjutsu I had prepared pre-war if just such an event occurred. The words of a woman still echoing through your heads I would like to address. That woman is now dead. I am not your prison keeper, my rule has been sudden, the changes I've made to some, irrational, this is why I would like to say. Should it be in your hearts and minds truly, you are free to leave Arashigakure. I will not confine you to a village you have no desire to remain in, I will not inhibit your freedoms, many of you came here seeking Sanctuary, with my word as Kage I promise that Arashigakure will become that place of sanctuary. For those who desire to leave, the village will accommodate you with an allowance you need only apply for come the following weeks. Only you know truly what it is you desire in life, chase after it, and never look back bloop."
The last line seemed to be more directed at someone rather than a mass of people but truly it was easily perceived as a man reaching out to his people on a personal level. The intercom would be hung back on the holster as it made the trademark static screeching noise before silencing. Toso would then withdraw his blood-stained tentacles as the remains of 'Kagami' clumped on the floor in a pile. Toso would then look down on it, and while he knew very well it was a Genjutsu. LORD HE HOPED IT WAS, GOD DAMN HIM IF IT WASN'T. His stoic expression while never changing would show that there were tears rolling down the sides of his face. The thought of this being the 'real' pregnant woman and having taken her life would ruin him. He'd address the room then. His voice while still monotonous was somewhat shakey. "I'd like to be alone." he'd say this rather flatly before putting on his glasses once more to cover his eyes with their glare. This would have the connotations of an order as opposed to a request which implied if Obei was still in the room enraged or however she was feeling that they get her out.
