Zoexx Sorenxx  Why do I miss someone I never met?
With bated breath I lay.
After a fairly long shift, Zoe thought that she would, at the very least, try and stop by the cafe one more time. She doubted that she would find Philip, after all, she hadn't really been able to get ahold of him since their first accidental meeting at the bookstore. Perhaps it had been just a coincidence. Maybe it had just been something of a happenstance that fate used to remind her that life would cycle around her, and thus would begin a pattern that would define the rest of her immortal existence.
She tried not to linger very long on this thought as she swallowed her concerns and entered the cafe again. She had a small bag at her side, nothing spectacular, which held the finished book, a small notepad, a fair amount of cash for odd spending, and the new cellular device that she managed to set up with the first paycheck she received. This was one of the first things she knew she needed to take care of, at least as far as her expenses went. She didn't bother to pay for any fancy deals, and the phone itself was best used for talking and could function with texts, but it was not attached to a plan that also allowed her to use the internet.
Why bother? Most of her time would be among the dead or dying, not quite as much interaction was needed for the living who would continue to live. Yes, she would exist among them, but she had a feeling she needed to be prepared to detach from it at any time. Thus, her phone's plan was not permanent.
The cafe seemed empty at the moment.... Perhaps everyone was too busy preparing for the upcoming new year. Fortunately, there were signs up enough and around town that informed her that it was coming up. Would she see familiar faces at the town's event? Perhaps....
Zoe's eyes drifted to the menu.... Was she hungry or thirsty enough for anything..? Perhaps hot chocolate or tea?
Maybe it was silly to keep looking.... if he's in town, I'll run into him sooner or later. Zoe's mind began again to cast doubt on her actions. Why am I doing this?
And all the poetry in the world finally makes sense to me.

"This place doesn't look that bad."
That was his first commentary by the time he and Yosuke arrived at the cafe. With the unorthodox interior, Ben would consider that quirky. He was used to the tavern-style cafes back in England, without the pipes that seem to run along in various directions at the ceiling. But at least, the atmosphere there was hospitable, though a bit too noisy for his liking.
He now sat down near a vacant table that was meant for two, saving the other seat for the human. He glanced at the menu near the ceiling, looking for something that would suit his taste for caffeine.

He was feeling rather energetic after what happened earlier. Hopefully the caffeine won't make it any worse or he won't be able to sleep tonight. But for now, he would make an exception to his usual coffee-drinking habits. After the first kiss he had stolen from Yosuke, he would settle for another beverage. He certainly didn't want to stay awake while still reminiscing about it.
"I'll just settle for hot Earl Grey tea. And I want some cookies to come along with it."
He placed his bag under the table while the other male was contemplating on what to order for himself. He stared at the view through the window.

He often cooked large portions back at home by accident. Maybe just a drink will be fine. Following Benjamin's line of sight, he looked out the window and found clouds drifting along in the sky. It was peaceful to look at and he soon felt mesmerized by the sight. Then inspiration finally hit him. He took out his sketchbook and began sketching a dress. By the time he was facing the human once more, the demon saw him sketching something. A dress. His lips formed a smile. Formal clothing was the mage's choice to wear, more so with his arcane get-up. However, Ben was just wearing a T-shirt, jeans and sneakers for now, since he wanted his regal get-up to be in top condition.
"That's an amazing dress," he commented on the drawing. "A hobby of yours?"

"I see. Well, I believe that you'll become a great fashion designer one day." His smile grew a bit wider. "Can you draw formal outfits for males also? I would like to wear in one of your creations some other time, being one of your models, perhaps."
Bearing the blood of Paimon allowed him to be attuned to the arts, and he could comprehend on how talented these people could be. He was glad that he was aiming for someone like Yosuke, though he also wondered if there would be others like him in Soleil City.

Zoe shook herself from the distant thoughts that she couldn't have put words to even if she wanted. She gathered her book again, slid the notebook into place, and she stood to exit the cafe. There had been two customers that had arrived, and at the moment, they seemed quite content with each other's company. It began to make Zoe feel a bit like the odd third wheel. She didn't want to accidentally eavesdrop on the conversation. A glance was enough to tell her both their varying vitality levels. One was beyond human in his capacity and talents, while the other seemed to be calmer and not a pocketed container of volatile potential. She couldn't tell much about them beyond this, and she didn't want to stick around so long as to become a distraction or a bother.
So, without a word, and with a solemn and quiet decision that she didn't relinquish to anyone, she slipped out of the cafe to take a walk around town. Just to clear her head a little bit, and, perhaps, to turn her mind to the new year. There were more positive things to think of when this was her focus.
And all the poetry in the world finally makes sense to me.

At the question about colors, Ben replied as if it was a fact. "My favorite colors are beige, black, blue, white and silver. I wouldn't suggest that you cram everything into the outfit, and resort to two to three main colors for the fabric. I wouldn't mind some gold or silver embellishments, though."
He then ran his own finger gently over the argentine piercings on his ear, the stud located on the earlobe as well as the two rings on the upper shell. The demon had worn that for aesthetic purposes, and to add to his charm. "How about you, Yosuke? Are there colors that you would usually like to work with?"

It would be very difficult to coordinate any outfits with more than four colors. At least for a beginner like him anyway. Watching the other's fingers gently touching his piercings, he had to admit that it looked nice on him. Not that he would say anything about it. Some thoughts are better kept a secret. "Colors to work with huh...." He honestly never gave much thought to it. He liked all colors. Yes, that includes all shades like black too. Though as he was reflecting on the past he noticed a pattern, "It really depends on my mood. At times I like to work with blue, but the next day it would be yellow. The water mage chuckled at the revelation. "Depending on your mood, huh? Perhaps if you are really in love, can you work on red? It's indeed a passionate color."
Again, he was teasing his object of affection, intending to make him feel flustered inside. He wasn't that much of a flirt, but his enrapturing instincts would be targeted towards one person, like his arcane water balls with a flick of his hand while brandishing his grimoire. So far, it was working well in his favor.

He does have a red gel pen with him. He took the pen out of his pocket and started working on the outline. A combo of red, black, and white can work.
