Kagae's face when he hears the story of Kojiro getting covered in goblins.Kagae tried to stifle it for a moment but, "Bwahahahaha! No wonder you smell like a Unicorn after stable duty. Oh my I wish I saw that a scorpion up to his armpits in goblins is a rare sight."Kagae would take a seated position in front of his tent after he had calmed down though he would make sure he was not in position to have kojiro smell blown over him by wind.

Taking the tea pot from Ujina, she began to set the tea up for boiling and to serve.

After the Crab laughed, she looked over at Kojiro apologetically. "I tried, Bayushi-san. I think there's only so much cleaning..." A small snicker "that story can take."

Sitting with the rest, Denbe couldn't help but chuckle, thinking back on the fight as Miyako had told it- certainly seemed less dire a matter put that way. The goblins hadn't hurt anyone too much after all, he supposed. He was thankful for that, certainly. Folding his hands politely, the Hare would smile at the company, and by all means be polite- except in so far as that he kept glancing out at the darkness as if still on duty... or at Kagae out of the corner of his eyes, when the Crab made sudden movements.
Perhaps just a bit too much paranoia.

We have Denbe and Miyako taking the first watch, Kojiro taking the second.
If the party does not split it up into three watches, Kojiro and Denbe will suffer penalties for not being well rested on the next day, due to how long they'll need to stay up for. Not Miyako though, because she didn't push herself that hard this day. Oh, Courtiers.
That being said, I don't have anything from Masuyo or Kagae about taking any watches.
UPDATE: Kagae is taking 3rd watch.
Alternatively, you guys can simply leave the third watch unattended, and hope nothing bad happens!
Also, Kojiro DOES smell a bit worse for wear. A combination scent of scorched goblin flesh and spilled goblin blood. And the odor of something... else. Burnt boar's hair, maybe?
This is, of course, conjunction to any summertime perspiration from all the hiking, which everyone shares.
(I would say, in order of odor, worst to best, Kojiro takes the prize, followed by a dirty Kagae, a median Denbe, probably Masuyo who's not used to this climate, then Miyako who's been catered to a good deal this whole trip. If it matters to anyone.)
EDIT/UPDATE: (If anyone thinks that this analysis for their character is wrong, feel free to make a case about how bad you do or do not smell, and I will take it into consideration. Yes, this has come up already.)

At this point, I am moving this ahead.
First Watch
Denbe and Miyako do not encounter anything during their watch.
Second Watch
Kojiro does not encounter anything during his watch.
Third Watch
Kagae does not encounter anything during his watch.
The dawn rises for yet another day. The clouds to the east are dark, and it looks like the heat wave in Crab lands is finally breaking, though you've escaped it by being all the way up here.

Kojiro gets up from his position near his tent and starts getting his things ready, such as he's able. He sees the dark clouds and turns to Masuyo and asks her what they might mean, besides possible bad weather.

Regardless, the Scorpion Bushi gets out on point and helps blaze a trail to their destination, using his kama to hack and slash a path out. Long, tiresome work, but it needed to be done.

Kagae would once again get to work navigating via the map if he could be bothered to read it properly...
Why yes, yes he could read it properly though it would not accelerate their progress much it would make sure they didn't stray from an effective path.

With the suddenly more formalized setting and everyone around, Denbe would talk pleasantly, and not be a closed trap- but he felt much more aware of his duty to be the watchman, and kept alert to the shadows- and the Crab. As such, it would be difficult for Miyako to get much more in way of secrets out of him, right up until it was time to change shifts, and the Hare went to turn in for the night.
The next morning, he'd rise, feeling somewhat energies. Keeping with his plan to fast every other day and eat on the ones between (the author forgetting which he did yesterday) the Hare felt sufficiently energetic and readily took the lead of the party unless someone else felt particularly eager to do so. Forging ahead, he let Kagae guide him- eager for both the usually valuable directing and shortcuts he could offer to keep them on track, as well as to let the helpfulness assuage his suspicions.

"T'means we're lucky not't'be'neath 'em..." came her groggy response, but as she gained a little more consciousness and the camp cleared, she eventually decided it might be a good idea to at least try consulting her stones.

Another day, another test of endurance. Since Ujina had thus far been most successful at gaining them distance, she would once again give up her spot as guide and remain behind to set the pace and enforce morale. Thus far she had gained them ground and saved a Scorpion from being eaten, so she certainly hoped they wouldn't complain about her presence. At least not until they reached civilization again.

As Masuyo tossed the kawaru stones and attempted to glean a glimpse of the future, she would see a similar result as the one several days ago. But it was... different. Rather, inverted.
