I think it looks pretty good, especially considering how tricky the perspective is!
If you want to find references for that sort of thing, I'd go to dA's stock section, > Stock Images, > Model, > Groups, and then search a term that you think describes the pose until you can find something that you like. I'd try "holding" "dying" "cradling" etc.

Yea, but I'm not a fan of the DA stocks. What I really wish I had, was a 3D poser. Something anatomically correct that I can study, so that I won't need stocks in the future. ^^
