Tam is laughing outright now. "I was only warning you so you don't get her angry any further. She's been studying d. miner. Hope left her some kind of recording crystal so she can at least understand it as it is spoken...

Kero gulps and looks back at Sharmistra whose face now is like a storm cloud. Apparently she has very good ears, just like Tam.

"Slimeball am I?" she growls, but there is a twinkle in her eye. She lifts a finger and shakes it at him. "You really need to learn respect, young cat. I've passed that crystal on to Dawnlord Mica as well. And he's been talking of having language lessons for the whole temple. As it seems we will be dealing with you and your kin on a regular basis. Fortunately Master Hopian didn't dwell too long on your little verbal vices in his recordings, but he did give us a general overview. We may not be able to speak it very well. Can't seem to wrap the vocal chords around it. But should your little niece decide to go roaming once more, we'll understand her."

"Like I said, Kero.... I could dose you with more." warns Sharmistra sternly.

Tam decides it is time to step in before this degrades into a 'I am more stubborner than you' match. He sits down next to the examination table and cocks his head at Sharmistra. "So, is he healing alright? He does need to get to Mica for his lessons. You can scold him all you wish when he comes back this way in an hour or so."

And receives a sharp rap on his hind quarter. Apparently Sharmistra is not of the do not lay a hand on the child school. But then, most martial artists are not. "Stick that back in before ye bite it off... or I miss with my scissors." she warns with a sigh. "Is he always like this?" she asks Tam with a touch of exasperation. Remember she's never met the cub except while he was ill or injured.

Tam draws herself up and give them both her most annoyed maternal expression. As she's never truly been a mother, she fails miserably. Her eyes are twinkling with barely concealed glee. "Yep."

She chuckles knowingly. "I know what's down there. Now let's look at those incisions shall we." She removes a few of the stiches but leaves one or two in place. With a sigh she tells him to jump down. "Carefully..." she warns him with a smile. "You are free to pretty much whatever you want within reason. I'll remove those in a couple of days. Keep the area clean. No mud wallowing, you hear me?"

She g rins at him. "Ye look like many a youngling I've treated... young, mischievious, and extremely curious. I don't know what it is about mud, but it cries out to be wallowed in at your age. ANyway... salt will sting like heck, but it will purify it also. Just keep it clean and you should be alright."

Tam rolls his eyes. "Kero... yer a cat fer heavens sake. Iffin ye can't get to the well to rinse it clean ever so often. Do as I was doing fer ye.... lick it clean. Honestly, ye'd think ye never learned how to groom yerself... wait a minute... I guess I wasn't too good of explaining that part fer ye before... was I?" he adds sheepishly.

"Just don't over do the licking part. Don't want to reopen the incision. Keep it clean and ye'll do fine. Has it been bothering ye much of late? No... well then it may not bother ye much now either. Now let's see that spot on yer side where ye tried to stab eyrself..." adds Shar with a nod.

Tam walks away with a saucy flip of his tail and goes to lie down by the fireplace.

Sharmistra shakes her head, biting her tongue to keep from laughing, and probes the original injury carefully. It is still rather tender and it's stitches are long overdue to come out, not exactly infected but highly irritated. Kerobian's impromptu visit to the desert has interfered with her removing them. She warns him that it will probably sting a great deal as she cuts and pulls them forth. She pours a bowl of hot water and soaks some cloth in it, then uses it to clean and soften the tissues about the stitches.

"Careful," warns Tam from by the tiny fire Sharmistra has burning on the hearth. "Don't over do it... Or I'll be pulling back home in a barrow."

Shar snorts through her nose and begins to remove the stiches, working so quickly that she is done far quicker than Kero had thought she'd be. He stays lying there waiting for her to finish and she laughs.

"You can get down now..."
