 Larkanna turned around, a protective fire blazing in her eyes, "If you leave, then I shall join you. My people, my friends, and my family are safe here now that this place has been fortified against the wizarding raids." She couldn't bare to be left alone again, not when she knew that he was awake and aware of what she'd turned this world into. Walking over to the edge of the bed, she looked down at her folded hands that rested in her lap. "I didn't want the link to break. And perhaps I now have the power to restore it." A tear rolled down her cheek as she turned her face away. "Every night the stars said that you were gone and I gave up hope that Lujei would keep her end of the promise until after I had passed into the realm of the dead. Now that you're back... I won't be easy to rid of."

 Elkand looked at her and stared as she spoke. The world really had changed in his slumber. He looked at her and shook his head "I was gone but not forever." he said " A dragon must keep their word however they are allowed to take as much time as they wish as long as they keep it." he said. He looked at her and turned her face back to him as he noticed her tear fall and looked deep into her eyes " You have nothing to worry about." he said and kissed her for the first time since he met her and pulled back with a smile then he heard an all to familiar voice. Lujei was suddenly at the door way with arms crossed and a devious smile on her face " Well well well the little dragon is awake." she said " I assume you my little gift to you Larkanna..beacuse that's only a small bit of it.' she said and walked closer arms still crossed her witches robe reached the floor with a bit dragging behind her.

When Elkand kissed Larkanna, she was more surprised than frightened. She hadn't expected such a thing from him, especially at a time like this. When he pulled back, she couldn't help but smile a little in return, but it quickly faded into a frown when Lujei made her demeanor known. Standing slightly in front of Elkand, she glared at the dragoness, "Oh? This is the only thing that I asked from you and I am quite content with it. Whatever else you have in store could possibly wait for his strength to return, could it not?"

Lujei chuckled " But you've been such a good witch these past five years so I feel as if I should reward you more." she said and waved her hand and the frost on Elkand's symbol vanished however she allowed both of them to keep their power which would make their abilities even stronger. She smiled " And even though he is a wizard, I will allow you to marry him if you so wish...however you must remain in my service for now." she said " Or this time I'll kill him and grant you an eternal life and make sure you spend it lonely." he said " And if you should so find a way to kill yourself then I will make sure that even in death you shall be forever separated and tortured." she said.

Gazing down at the glowing symbol, she felt their bond being reconnected, but instantly hated the terms in which she had to follow to keep it. "Then I guess you won't have to go through the trouble, because I promise not to struggle." She said hopelessly. She had no fight left in her, not anymore. Even though she was happy to be able to marry him without too many complications and to be with him, she still felt dead on the inside. Sitting down on the bed by Elkand, she lowered her eyes and sighed. "I promise, again, so long as he is not harmed."

Lujei smiled " Good beacuse you will both be needed." she said " You see the ignorance of some new witches have unleashed some troublesome creatures." she said " I believe Elkand knows the location of one of the monsters...and after you went to sleep the Lord of Frost unsealed the beaat." he said. She smiled " However they cannot roam the earth at the same time they will appear at different times." she said " But be glad you have some time to spend with each other before...I will inform you when a beast is sighted." she said " Oh and try to cheer up Larkanna, your fiance is here no need to hold such emptiness." and with that she turned and disappeared half way down the hall.

Larkanna looked up and listened to the dragoness' words before laying back on the bed, ignoring her last phrase entirely. Or so she can so easily spit out. She thought dryly. "Lovely... we're just going to become her protectors against creatures just as powerful as she." Sitting up again and smiling a little at Elkand, she said, "Isn't great to be back up and running?"

Elkand smiled and looked at her " It is." he said " Though it feels weird not being in my robes but I can live with it." he said and stood up " Well I'm up but not quite running." he said and took slow steps his legs shaking having not been used for such a long period of time. He leaned against the wall " I just have some things to get used to." he said " I with to see your daughter..see what ind of witch she has become." he said with a kind smile.

Larkanna dashed to his side, one hand on his shoulder and the other lightly holding his forearm for support. "She will become a great witch one day...." She said knowingly. She'd taught her as much as the little girl could understand, teaching the basics of incantations and mixing potions. Guiding him slowly to the parlor of his room set, she walked him to the nearest and softest sofa and then asked a servant to send for Ravenia.
Several minutes later, the little girl stepped into the room and her big amber eyes instantly were attracted to the glowing symbol on the back of her mother's and Elkand's hands. Curiosity won over her respect for privacy, "Mama, why is your hand glowing?"
"Because we share a soul bond, Ravenia." Larkanna replied, holding out her hand to show that they were the same, only with a different symbol at the top of the circle. "While you're here, would you mind showing Master Elkand here one of your spells?"
Shyly, the little girl nodded and walked to the center of the room. Holding her hands to her mouth, she began to hastily chant. When there was a slight glow, she held out her hands and a one-winged sparrow made of what appeared to be glowing air flop from her hands in attempts to take to the air. Picking up the confused and dazed creature, she frowned and said, "I can never get that spell right..."

Elkand watched the girl for a moment and chanted the words with her finding problem with the girls chant however he said nothing. He smiled at clapped " You got farther than most would at your age witchling." he said and stood up cringing at the pain but he ignored it hopping over to her. And almost fell but he saved himself and leaned down ignoring how sore his muscles were now. He put his hand on hers and smiled " However as you are still young chanting fast isn't necessary, its good to go slow." he said and turned the same direction and chanted the same spell but much slower so as not to mess up in his speech and suddenly the sparrow she was trying to create came form his hands with both wings flying around happily. He then sent it away and looked at her " C-Chant slow..." he said and stood up and moved over to the sofa and sitting down " By the shade of Lord Umbra...my legs feel like Dwarven led the more I try to use them." he admitted but look at the girl wanting to see her try it again.

The little girl watched as he chanted slowly and then, once he gave her the look that told her that she should try again,s he nodded. She was determined to get this right, especially for the wizard that her mother seemed to be very much attached to. Cupping her hands over her mouth yet again, she chanted much more slowly. At the end, she held out her hand and a tiny sparrow flew up and out the window before vanishing into clear air again. Smiling, she ran over to Elkand and hugged him, "Thank you!"
Larkanna smiled and watched to see the wizard's reaction. She was so glad that he was able to talk her into fixing her mistakes. Whenever she tried to get her to try a failed spell a second time, the little girl usually gave up hope that she'd ever be able to get it right. That's when she realized that it wasn't Ravenia's fault, it was hers.... Had she been more lively, the girl might have tried harder to impress her.

Elkand looked at the little girl a little surprised at first before he rubbed the girls head " You'll make a great witch like yuor mother one day." he said. He looked at Larkanna " Besides all I did was fix a small mistake everyone makes...you have a great teacher and mother right there." he said and smiled " For now on when you practice think of yuor mother and how proud she will be to see her little girl growing into a fine young spell caster." he said " Remember there is always someone watching you and making sure you make it." he said " Adriana's power be yours." he said and moved her over to her mother.

Ravenia grinned even wider before looking up at her mother, "I know, Mama's the best. Mama is the greatest witch of all time." And with that, she climbed from her elder sister's lap before rushing out the door to go show her friends what she could now do flawlessly.
Larkanna shook her head a little, "If only 'Mama' were just that." Sighing, she then looked over at Elkand, "Are you still hungry? Or do you want to take a tour of this floor of the palace?"

Elkand smiled at her " But you are Larkanna." he said and stood up " I guess I could take a tour, oddly enough my appetite disappeared while ago." he said. He looked around " I suspect my staff and robes were either destroyed of confiscated?" he asked as he stood up and walked a little bit though his legs were still shaking slightly. He crossed his arms and waited for her to show him around.

Larkanna also stood and walked over to him, taking his hand for both comfort and support as she said, "Your robes were burned by Lujei and your staff has been kept in one of my hidden rooms." She had made sure to take all of their precious belongings with her when she moved to the palace to become the Witch Mother of the 'new world'. Then she'd burned their mansions to the ground to remind her that there was no turning back from what she would most likely do. Leading him slowly from the room, she began to show him many of the other rooms, most of which were libraries or music rooms. "This is the sixth floor of the castle, and I'm assuming that we can just take each level one at a time, so that you can memorize the layout."
