Stella didn't kiss him back. She couldn't bring herself to do it. her lip stopped quivering and she smiled more freely now. Standing up she grabbed the rent a car keys and turned to Gage. "Let's get out of this hotel room and go shop or sight see. Agree?" She smiled and reached her hand out to him, waiting for his response.

 ɢαɢєIt had been over a year since that fateful day that had made Gage almost lose everything... Yet here he was, better for it. He and Stella had a nice apartment in New York, not far from her college... He was thrilled.... So much had happened since that day... He was now running Horatio's shop here in NY, and did so happily....
He looked over at the school, watching for Stella. He watched for her movement... She always had a way of moving.... He took a deep breath, seeing her come out. He'd gotten a new car... He never felt comfortable driving his old one after the accident, and had sold and replaced it as soon as he could.... He revved up the engine and pulled up to the school's front, looking up at Stella with a killer smile. "How was your day Stunna?"

It had been well over a year since Gage and Stella had to restart things because of that crash. Things were literally a million times better. Her and Gage had their apartment right by school and she had just finished her first year. He had gotten a new car and was running Horatio's NY shop. Stella had decided that she really wanted to get a job so she applied at this super adorable boutique that wasn't to far from their apartment. Since she had her car it was no big deal to go to work when she didn't have school, but she always wondered why Gage insisted on picking her up from school.
As soon as the bell rang Stella was out of her seat and walking down the hall towards the front of campus. She bumped into a few people along the way, chatting with them until she spotted Gage's new car. A brilliant smile pulled onto her lips, revealing her pearly white teeth. Seeing Gage's smile nearly melted her heart and she quickly got in the car and buckled up. Leaning over she kissed his cheek softly and smiled. "Could of been better. I missed you to much!" She smiled and leaned back in the car.

 "For awhile... Just for a little bit...." Gage chuckled and shook his head, pushing back his hair and shifting the car into gear. They pulled away from the curb and he smiled at Stella, talking as he drove. "Trust me, I missed you too... Dominic is being an a** lately... He's refusing to do modifications now... Unless he gets a pay raise like, two weeks ago..." he sighed, shrugging one shoulder "It's ridiculous." "I didn't think I'd live through it... But there she was... Saving me again...."

Stella smiled and rolled her eyes a bit. "I never liked him.. He bugs the hell out of me." She giggled and turned in her seat so she could look at Gage when they drove. Her phone rang and she sighed, sitting up and pulling it out of her purse. It was from her mom... Her mother never called her at this time of day. With a sigh she answered it and raised it to her ear. Her mother was crying on the other line and Stella held the phone back and could hear her just fine. The words sent a chill down her spine and she started to tear up. After a few minutes on the phone she hung up and dropped it into her lap. "Oh.. My god.."

"For awhile... Just for a little bit...." Gage frowned and froze as Stella pulled out her phone and suddenly was in tears. He was pulling into the apartment complex and stopped, looking over at her as he parked in one of their designated spots. He watched her phone drop to her lap and heard the words. Within seconds, he was out of his seatbelt and turned to her. "Stell, what's wrong?" "I didn't think I'd live through it... But there she was... Saving me again...."

Stella was frozen for a little while. She didn't know how she was going to tell him this. Her mother had called about Stephanie. They found her... For the most part. Her lower lip quivered and she tried her hardest to wait to tell him before crying. "They found Steph. It wasn't Brian. It was that one guy that she was cheating on you with. Troy or something stupid like that..." Shaking her head she hoped he would understand and she wouldn't have to explain it like her mother had to.

He could feel the upset and loss coming from her, and it even clenched in his own chest. Yeah, he'd been upset with Steph... But he didn't want anything to happen to her.... "I didn't think I'd live through it... But there she was... Saving me again...."

Stella buried her face in his neck and started crying. "I don't know why I'm crying... She wasn't hurt.. Her boyfriend kidnapped her.. and made her marry him.. But.. That's it.. Why am I crying?" Tears continued to stream down her cheeks and her tears quickly turned into little hiccups. There really was nothing to be crying about. Maybe she felt bad for Stephanie.. She hadn't told Gage the whole story but he didn't need to know everything. At the moment the only true attachment they had was her.

"Relax darling, it still upsets you because well, plain and simple, it's still not a good thing to do..." he smiled at her and nuzzled her neck. "Just don't stress yourself for now." Stella stopped crying, her hiccups and sniffles stopped and she leaned back a bit and looked at him. There was something more to the story but she couldn't bring herself to say it. Climbing into her seat she opened the door and got out, closing it slowly behind her before heading to the apartment. Unlocking the door and walking to their room, she kicked her shoes off in the corner and dropped down onto the bed. "Im okay. Keep driving.."

Her stomach clenched and she desperately wanted to tell him the rest of the story. But she couldn't accept it herself let alone bring herself to telling someone that had once been close to her. Gripping the sheets on the bed she wrapped herself up and inhaled slowly. Since she was laying on his side of the bed it smelled strongly of him and she couldn't help but smile.

She rolled over and looked at him with a smile. "Come snuggle with me!" She giggled and moved over so he had room to lay next to her if he want.
