((Its okay. Just writing something to help you get back on track smile lol)) (Erin = with Khalifa and Jaylin)
Even though she knew that the two people were there, Erin was still startled by Khalifa's voice speaking to her. Blinking in mild surprise, the green haired Owl quickly looked up and found Khalifa standing over her, offering her a hand to help her to her feet. She hadn't thought that either one of the two guys would be that concerned about her. She quickly changed her expression to including a tiny sheepish smile to try to hide her still saddened heart as she replied, "I-I'm fine. Just a little bewildered right now is all. I guess coming from a battlefield straight to this... underwater palace would do that to a person."
With that said, Erin tried to stand up on her own so as not to trouble Khalifa and Jaylin too much or anything. She only made it to a crouch when she winced slightly because of her landing on her knees when she got here. A soft brief intake of air might have also given away the slight stumble she had just then. Out of reflex, Erin put one hand out to steady herself on the ground, but if khalifa did move fast enough he might be able to grasp her other hand before that happened though. "Guess I landed harder than I thought." she stated simply with a small frown.

Kojiro's blades quickly shattered as he summoned two knives to hold in each hand. He became slightly unnerved seeing the gruesome sight that resulted from his attack. He remained steadfast as anything could happen, but before he could respond, she followed her sadistic rant with a dash towards him, "...It did nothing!" he realized. He looked up as their eyes met face to face...she was taunting him. Kojiro reared back with another knife in his hand to go at her arms, but before he could strike, she began to change. He felt like he was being submerged, being someone who feared drowning, his lost his nerve, and instead of thinking things through, he acted hastily.
"Freeze Sign! Perfect Nightmare!"
Knives began to appear rapidly as they almost exploded in numbers, Kojiro let his body temperature plummet to freezing temperatures, he was using the same attack he used on Thomas on their first encounter, but much more precise and twice as dangerous. Kojiro swallowed his fear and allowed himself to outstretch his arms palms facing outward. Quickly the knives pointed in his direction, rigidly marked for himself as a target. Like enraged wasps, the knives began shooting for Kojiro's body, narrowly skimming his body some cutting his clothes, and some leaving narrow cuts., either the freezing temperature of his body would get her to release him, or the skimming knives would scrape her off. "Get...off of me..." he murmured. The lack of air disoriented him, causing the dropping temperature to falter from time to time and rise back up slightly, and some of the knives would shoot too close and draw blood or completely miss, but he continued his efforts, intent on his goals. Kojiro overheard Anderson's comment. Anderson would not be the one to decide who Kojiro took on, The Alkaline Owl was simply an immediate priority, nothing more than an obstacle to be dealt with...suddenly it dawned on him.
"Thomas is a Herald?"
Kojiro maintained his attack, but the concept lingered, Kojiro would restrain the fact that he was now the Herald of Water, perhaps the information was better left unknown for now. But more importantly....the same person trying to wipe out the Fallen Phoenix was a Herald...like Timothy...who threatened to kill Raven! What did that make Kojiro himself?...What is a Herald's true purpose? No...this thinking was not called for at the moment. Kojiro held his breath, hoping this would work.

Demios listened to Che partially glad that Che had been here before even if it had been long ago it could prove to be useful to them. Especially if they wanted to find the deck before one of their enemies did. He was also glad to have the four of them working together, even if it was only for the moment. It had been some time since Demios had made any sort of temporary alliance with Che, and as much as the man still irritated Demios he was an important ally. It was about this time that Che patted him on the head. The mage merely saw this as Che trying to patronize him and he visibly fumed for a second before regaining his composure. Though his hands glowed with energy momentarily as he debated lighting his former father figure ablaze. Instead he let out a rather immature 'hmph' as he glared at the man. "Lets just get this over with before one of us does something we regret" He said rather coldly as he followed behind Che. That is until the rather loving hell hound decided to place everyone upon his back. "Well, I guess this is better than hoofing it, Cerbs I owe you one big steak after this" He said.

Khalifa Marcellus
Standing over Erin Khalifa kept his hand out for her to take, he was indeed concerned for her well being, even if only for a simple reason such as her belonging to his OWL family as far as he remembers. Despite the fact that he has not been around when they needed him, he was determined to make up for that and too help all those whom needed it of course unless they were his enemy or working for them. When Erin voiced her condition he gave a very small laugh. "Yeah, I know the feeling or at least I use to when I was younger." He replied, being able to teleport was an ability and skill he is known to have and using it over the years he has become immune to the nauseated feeling it sometimes bring. He would watch Erin attempt to stand on her own which he didn't mind at all, he would start to pull his hand away and step back as to give her the needed space but realizing she stumbled and was about to fall back towards the ground, Khalifa would immediate reach out to grab her her hand and then placed himself under her arm should she not be able to stand on her own but regardless he was holding her on her feet. "It would seem so, but maybe you should take it easy for a while, seem like your a bit tired." He voice d his opinion.
Weapons: Twin Fang Twilight Rose Items: Custom Deck of Aces, Attire Title/Ability: The Matter Owl Team: The Four Suits~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jaylin LaQuiel
Jaylin stood several feet away from the two, he watched as the two conversed and even as Khalifa had to help her stand but there was no reason for him to go and help, not that he wouldn't just that there was no need for the both of them to aid her. After watching the two stand, Jaylin turned his attention back to surveying the area and placed his visor back on infrared in which he slowly walked on ahead to scout. "It doesn't seem like much is going on near us but we should find the others."

(Erin = with Khalifa and Jaylin)
The Artistic Owl blinked as Khalifa caught hold of her hand before she actually did fall over. "Thank you..." she said softly as she was helped to her feet and subsequently supported as she stood up. She didn't really know Khalifa all that well as both of them hardly ever spoke to each other up until now. Yes, Erin knew he was a part of the Night Owls, so she figured that he was probably helping her because of that. As a matter of fact, Erin had felt shy around him because she found him to be a little intimidating and aloof in terms of his presence. Add that to the fact that she had barely even spoken to him, and well, she had every right to be shy for that reason alone. But it was nice to know that Khalifa was willing to help her out for something as small as this because they were part of the family that was the Night Owls. Erin was also slightly relieved that it didn't seem as though either Khalifa or Jaylin were at all worried about why she had been crying earlier. Right now it appeared Khalifa was thinking that her legs hurt from her landing, which they did but that was not why she had been crying.
"Yes. I am a bit tired. It's been a long day." A small smile appeared on Erin's face. She knew all of the Night Owls had been in DC for that battle, so she figured Khalifa would know what she was referring to. It was then that Jaylin spoke up about heading out to look for the others. "I'm ready when you two are. I apologize for holding you two up from doing so earlier." Erin said as they would begin walking soon. "I should be able to walk on my own in a minute or two as well."

(Kate = with Che, Demios, Amara, and Cerbs)
At last they were finally on the move. However, Kate was none too happy when the large-sized Cerberus decided to lift her and Amara and Demios onto his back by using his massive jaws to lift them. She frowned a little as she could feel the back of her shirt collar being soaked by the hell hound's saliva. A soft aggravated sigh escaped the Eternity Owl's lips. 'Stupid dog...' she thought to herself 'He's ruined one of my favorite shirts...' And soon they were off. Cerberus didn't even bother to give Che a ride and just tossed the elder Presidiomini towards the exit. Kate rolled her eyes, however, she was a bit concerned for Che because of his fight with Thomas before. "Idiot dog. Are you trying to kill him before he finishes what he's here to do?" Kate scolded Cerberus from atop the dog's back as they headed off.

The ice like knives that shot out of Kojiro pierced through the metal goo that had been poured onto him. This did nothing to Acelyn for the mere fact that it wasn't an actual body and this was almost her second form. "Awe... do you not think I'm pretty? Do I not satisfy your tastes? I can feel your heart rushing with fear... that noise is making me crazy." The metallic, hollow voice rung out from the pools of the silver liquid that were on the ground around his feet. The rest of the goo fell into the puddles, forming the beautiful girl that now batted her eye lashes at him. "I'm sowwy, Kojo." Smirking soon after that, the girl went back to being liquid and began to crawl up his leg to his back. Acelyn became a human again, her arms around his neck and her cold hands on his chest provacativly as she whispered in his ear. "You know if you relax, I can make this all come to an end so quickly. It'll be like dying in your sleep. Peaceful... quiet... bloody too."

Kojiro huffed as the knives continued their barrage until she fell to the ground, the knives slowed down as he was beginning to tire out from the extensive control of the ice. His eyes became heavy as the metallic voice once again mocked his efforts. Like a frustrated child trying to fight an immovable force...His reckless attacks were draining him and normal direct attacks have done nothing.... Kojiro felf the Alkaline Owl come up neck and hold him. Oddly enough...even in a moment of staring death in the face, he felt....calm. In the midst of the hurricane of emotions and ice...he actually considered taking the owl's offer. All this fighting...only to lead to more fighting...why risk being killed or tortured...he knew he made no impact in the end...he was just Kojiro...the exhaustion washed away all his thoughts and prior contemplations...he could simply quit...and join hands with Nat in the afterlife...
Kojiro sunk into the Owl's embrace, her cold touch over his frozen body, "...I would like that very much....but...." Kojiro's hand gingerly caressed her arm, finally taking her hand, almost wishing for death to be this easy...but his mind was set...he would keep going....until he could no longer move...until he found what he had been seeking.....or died desperately searching for truth. Kojiro's hand tightened,"...If I die...I don't want to go alone..." he whispered in reply. Ice began to lightly crawl around his arm....and the tendrils of frost made their way towards the Owl....he would freeze them both....He could not help but wonder what importance this owl held for Thomas...more importantly the other way around...perhaps he could begin his revenge by enacting the same pain he dealt....and kill her while he watched...This thinking...what kind of monster was he becoming?

Acelyn could feel the frost coming, her body temperature was dropping faster than it normally would in any situation. "Can't say I didn't give you a chance." The girl smiled as she became completely metal, the sliver liquid poured from her pores as if that was all she was. The girl gripped Kojiro's hand tightly with an iron grip, spinning around to where the boy could look into her eyes that were now black holes. "If you won't let me have that iron willingly, I'll have to take it by force." The girl let the tendrils of frost crawl up her arm and across her body, completely covering herself in ice. Her eyes stayed forward towards the man who was trying to put her in an icy tomb, her smile pure and almost kind. As the ice finished its duty, the girl started to laugh as if this man could be so dumb as to think that ice was going to some how kill her. The metallic body structure of Acelyn began to shake, soon spikes of metal shot out of the tomb and broke her free. Shaking off the ice that laid on her body, she could not help but laugh. "You are done for." The long silvery hair of the statue went straight for Kojiro like knives, stabbing at random points where his body was and not caring if it hit or not.

The light blue eyes of the photokinetic Herald scanned the room they were in as Victoria's history lesson proceeded. This place had to have had been constructed over at least a millennium ago. The architecture was far more impressive than anything he'd seen above the waves and it looked as though everything here was sculpted with a meticulous hand. Lomoli could tell there was little to no time to take in all of this, but still, he did the best he could. What worried him the most was the fact they were at the bottom of an ocean. Being the thinker he was, the image that often crossed his mind was running into a fight and breaking a wall letting all the water rush in. Obviously this place had doors though as there were other areas just out of the window. Maybe another hole wouldn't allow water? Maybe it would...
Lomoli, clearly oblivious to this Exire's labyrinth-like hallways, followed closely behind Victoria. His wondering sight once again rolled about the room inspecting it for anything that seemed out of the ordinary. There was nothing here at all, but he could sense the presence of other Heralds here. The nagging thought that Timothy and Rage were here was lessened when he also considered Cecilia and Daryle being in the next room they'd enter. Lifting his eyes from the hard, reflective surface of the floor and his nagging thoughts, he said, "I can see why one would enjoy a place like this. Just from looking, I can tell that a game of hide and go seek here could last all day. I was aware that Exire was a refuge for Owls as well as a birthplace and a home for many Owl lineages, but...there's three of them? Thanks for the history lesson, but right now I just want to get--" The young Owl paused and stopped walking as well but only for a brief moment. Tilting his head, a question stirred tauntingly in his mind. "Hey Victoria. I remember hearing from Roulin that Exire was an idea made by the Life Owl. Is that true? And if it is, is it possible that the second Exire...the huge flying battleship one...is it true that Roulin could command that thing?"
~~~
The image of Thomas's smirk appeared against the surface of the gaseous stream as it passed by Anderson who had so narrowly evaded. The pressurized zephyr soon redirected itself slowly, turning back to the silver-haired cosmic manipulator. The bolt of energy, although impressive, did little to nothing to slow down the Herald. The speed at which the grey plume of smoke moved as it twisted and winded was far too fast for the aimless bolt to catch. It did manage to blast away the fog-like trail Thomas was leaving behind. As the sound of the blast colliding with a thick, age-stiffened wall crackled throughout the immensely tall room, the gaseous man stop instantly and held his position for only a second before taking off at Anderson once more. Once again, the figure of the former Death Owl's face appeared at the front of the dense smog.
"What's wrong? Missing the moonlight on the mountainside? The sun on the prairie?" Thomas voice arose from the bullet-shaped smog carrying a coarse and abrasive tone partially more disturbing than his normal. In either tone though, his goading didn't fail to retain that condescending, cocksure ring. "Sky's the Limit kiddo! Better reach for it like ya want it!" Taking notice of Anderson's crutch, the Herald moved in faster for an attack. As the dark silver cloud of gas curved keeping Anderson at it's focal point, stream after stream of pressurized gas was shot from it. While that was going on, a small, centralized change of weather was taking place. The Texan's trail of fog was being pulled towards the cosmic manipulator to hinder his vision. If Thomas could complete the process or at least cover their area with enough it, he could strike either using it or strike from a distance to peck away at the man's already paltry defenses.
~~~
Timothy's attention was jarred from Serilda upon the arrival of Rage, a fellow Herald. The schizophrenic was obviously pissed at something. If he had to guess, her anger was a result of her not being able to finish off her target. For what other reason would this manic be screaming like a banshee? Off deeper in the room, but not out of the sight of the silver haired elder, was Serilda who was apparently stricken with confusion. The short man lifted a hand to his hair and twisted. A good amount of water fell from the split ends onto the floor below. While attempting to groom himself, he looked away from Serilda to Rage. There was no talking to foolish Herald at this moment. Rather, he looked at her allowing a second to past. Maybe in that moment, she'd have allowed her feelings to return to her grasp. Or maybe not. Her mind was ragged and her moniker was Rage. Timothy knew better than to expect any remnant of sanity in her actions anymore.
"Who are we?" Light and airy blue eyes settled amicably on Serilda. "We're the two Heralds protecting the Oracle Catherine Turner. You know her as Raven." It was odd that this girl knew nothing of them despite them assisting in the Fallen Phoenix's recent missions. Regardless of that partial ignorance, her fright was understandable. "This fountain? It's only good for healing or rather it was. It's quite dest--" A ball of fire zoomed past the Herald's causing him to lean backwards. There was the nagging sense of another Herald around the entire time, but the refreshed man played it off as Rage's aura. Daryle, the new Fire Herald had entered that massive room and along with him were two others: Nik and Bailey. A powerful current of electricity surged through the small body of the Herald evaporating any water left on him. "You're concern is welcome, boy." said Tim, his knuckles crackling as both his fists curled.
As it seemed, the both of them had a set of backup. It was more than obvious that Daryle's selection was forced to be random as was his. Luckily, Tim didn't have to bother with an ensemble cast as Daryle did. Nik and Bailey were not Heralds and Bailey's ability was not an element. "Messy isn't the word..." Already, the electromagnetic tactician deemed her to be the weaker link of the three. He wouldn't prey on her just yet though. The dancing fool had to be dealt with first. Timothy enacted a counterattack on Daryle and his team. The index finger and thumb of his recreated hand started to rub together creating a few sparks, then a nice, powerful charge. That was to be saved for now. From his other hand, Timothy advanced upon Daryle utilizing a different, but potentially effective attack. A swirling ball of electricity was loosed from his grasp and rather slowly, it moved towards Daryle, Bailey and Nik. As the attack trudged onward towards the trio, its size increased remarkably once, then again. It's last stage was enough to block Tim's sight of the three Owls. Taking this time to himself, he leaped backwards giving a quick glance to Rage and Serilda. "You two," the Herald called, his tone ringing with a demanding seriousness, "Start moving. We've got a fire to stomp out."

(Around the world, Around the world. :3) Putting up her two hands up she focused on creating a legitimate tower shield enough to reduce some impact but not until she heard the young boy's reason. Slowly putting her hands down but still being unsure, she had her hands in back of her slowly materializing two Beretta Model 93R, with ammo included. Standing and listening to the young mans story. She started to have this feeling that what he was talking about started to make sense. Not until she saw a fireball within a second she took the course of action and evaded by pushing herself to the left side and then curling up as she was told to do in a dire situation. She found herself in a cloud of debris. Slowly lifting herself up she opened her eyes and started lift herself up like she did when she was standing up. Brushing herself off she started to still have her Beretta's in her two hands. Now something like this she started to have a feeling that something big was about to happen. (sorry just awoken up =~=)

"Your welcome" Khalifa would reply after Erin thanked him for preventing her from falling, now helping her from stand e looked ahead of them for a moment to spot Jaylin going on ahead of them as to scout ahead and finish his survey of the area. With his attention know returning to Erin whom he knew little to nothing about or hardly even spoken to for that matter, but he has seen her combat and on top of that she was a night owl which was enough to earn his help and respect for that matter. "I'm sure it has been quite a day and I should have been there to help you all but I am here now." He stated calmly before looking back towards Jaylin and slowly advancing forward in at a pace most comfortable for Erin after hearing her statement of being ready. "What is there to apologize for? Until we find out why we were brought here then we are in no rush." He stated as they were still unaware of the reason. "Well til then I'll support you. But also do you know what it was that brought us here?"

Kojiro held her hand tightly as neither showed any sign of release, this only meant he was not the only one with an idea. He felt the liquid metal wash over his bloody hands. Kojiro looked up towards the Owl's once beautiful face, no only an image of blood lust. Kojiro let the ice race around her body and encase her in ice. Kojiro looked on to her figure frozen in place,"....This...Owl, she is something else...nothing like anything I have seen." His moments were this thought and a few breaths of relief.
They weren't for long.
Kojiro broke away from the Owl as he realized the Ice did not subdue her. Kojiro jumped back as the Alkaline Owl broke free, shielding himself from the shards of ice falling away from her. Kojiro was trying to catch his breath, his heart sank as he realized this assault was doing nothing bot wearing him out. Hearald or not...he was not fully capable of even controlling his new power...The amount of power he had used withing this fight and the previous has been more than he had used in a long time, but he knew he just needed a moment....a moment he did not have. Kojiro dove out of the way as the Owl's hair began surging towards him. He weaved and dashed in multiple directions as he narrowly dodged the attacks, some grazing him. He stopped and suddenly multple frozen chain spears, claws, hands, and even tendrils surged up in front of him. he realized one was headed straight for his chest, the ice wrapped around it to stop it in its tracks. Kojiro tried to come up with a counter only to have his shoulder pierced by another knife like tendril, Kojiro gasped as it drew blood, fear ran down his spine as he realized that she was narrowly missing vitals, and only getting closer.
He needed time to recover his strength, Ice covered his shoulder like a pauldron, the wound was still fresh and he could still move his arm, but he needed to avoid any more injury to that area for the moment, he could not afford to have it exploited. The rest of the ice shattered around him and fell to the ground. He would have to analyze her and try to find an opening. His offense was not working...so getting back to the defense was his only option...he only hoped he would not be killed like a rat going for cover. Kojiro focused his powers into his hands, which began to glow a light blue. His hands were focal points of the subzero temperature within his body now. Normal humans would suffer from frost bite even if he grazed them, touching them would freeze a portion of their body all together. He would have to rely on this and his actual hand to hand skills, even if she decided to do the opposite. This was his chance to recover, he needed to remain focused.
Kojiro got into a fighting stance and then dashed towards her again, weaving around her attacks and launching another combination of freezing punches and strikes,"I'm not going to let you kill me!....You won't stop me!" he shouted as he attacked.

Victoria continued to navigate through the labyrinth. She could hear Moli's thoughts like echos. "Don't worry child, this place has various spells on it that it's damn near impossible for water to sink in...unless if Exire wants that to happen to flush us out" she told him. The psychic red head stopped when Moli asked her the question. She then touched a wall as her psychometry powers took effect. Unlike many psychics hers was very fine tuned. "Sorry Moli I'm retrieving the information now" she informed him. Once she had everything she began to walk again.
"You're kind of right Moli. True it was Life's idea to find a place where people could find refuge, not only Owls. You see she wasn't a natural born Owl...and had compassion for all people. However other members of the great four and the original herald felt that Exire should be a place for Owls only...just because they were growing in numbers and at a rapid rate. She did however give some of her power into Exhire giving it healing properties and making it hard to be seen by mortal eyes are even trackable...you see Exire moved according to the lunar phases of Earth...security reasons. Other magics and essences of the others in the great four and heralds were incorporated later but yes she was the base/founder of the concept of Exire." she told him.
They soon came to a stairwell going down. Looking back at Moli. "I believe this is the way to go" she said as she began to proceed down. Answering the rest of his question she began to speak. "Well in theory yes Roulin may be able to operate it...for the fact that he has the title...then again...it's just a theory it could have only worked for Gale...the original life owl. I'm sure it has sever incantations on it that he alone couldn't crack and more than likely would have to have some input from the great four...but seeing how they don't exist right now...let's just hope he doesn't have to use it...the last time it was used many people, owls and humans were killed" she told him as they continued to walk. "Do you honestly think he should even be allowed on that thing? I don't" she told him.

Anderson flipped the blade over so that the flat length of the blade acted as a shield towards the pressurized air. His feet firmly planted on he ground still the pressurized air knocked him slightly back with each shot. Grunting lightly with each blast Anderson felt the pressure hit him in the lungs, he would have coughed if he weren't clenching his teeth so much. The Wind Herald's taunts while annoying were just as true. Anderson's powers wholly depended on the fact that he could see or connect with the sky above him, 90% of the time it was excellent, but damn these rare times of extreme vulnerability. Because he was so far under the ocean he couldn't rely on his Arch Dragon either the dragon would never be able to form properly let alone fight. His familiar however did not rely on the same principles as the dragon, but it was Anderson's only trump card he could not use it.
"Not at all Thomas it's the perfect handicap for dealing with a fresh Herald, especially one whose powers were changed so drastically." His attempt at making light of the situation was just his way of coping he knew he was in trouble, but who in his family ever gave up? Anderson could see it, or rather not, the surroundings were becoming foggy and it was annoying to breathe, a constant scratch in his throat which meant that Thomas was trying to cut off his senses. Anderson looked around, then towards one of the still visible walls in the area. His eyes opened wide for a moment that was it! They were under water! Anderson spun around slashing his blade horizontally releasing a bolt of energy towards one of the ancient walls.
As the bolt collided with the wall it shook violently but only cracked, Anderson gasped as he felt a pressurized blast of air hit him in his back. He gasped for breathe coughing a bit as he landed on his hands and knees. Quickly Anderson got up, staggering a little, his sword in one hand he looked at the smoky visage of Thomas. "The sky's the limit huh?" The fact that they could see the world outside, the ocean that is, meant they weren't so far down that they had fallen into the aphotic zone of the ocean, where light from the sun couldn't travel any farther. Meaning Anderson still had power and could see that it must have been sunny outside or it would be darker. Raising his free hand towards the smoky version of Thomas Anderson fired several smaller blasts of white energy from his hand, though they didn't have the same punch of one of his regular attacks they could at the very least be an annoyance.

The quiet storm that brewed within the aged, cobweb filled regions of the ancient Owl's all but decrepit mind was weakened by the arrival of the handful of familiar faces. At the very least, he had more defense to back him as he traveled through these aged, archaic hallways in search of clues and answers. Not only did it provide strength as there was strength in numbers, but it revealed to the once worried old Owl that this bunch that contained most of the people he held dear to him, were still very much alive. Che kept his walk fast and his position ahead of the pack to hide the relieved smile he wore so happily.
Now that he had a personal army...a fighting force to use against what he figured he'd be finding soon enough, the bushy haired contender realized shortly there after that there was the task of keeping them safe. Demios, Kate and Amara weren't Heralds but like Anderson, they were nearing great potential that would almost rival any middle-aged Herald. It then hit Che swiftly that Tim and Rage weren't middle-aged Heralds. They were full fledged masters of their elements. Not only that, but who wasn't to say that the rest of TFP wasn't their either? Obviously, these walls made it hard to sense the aura's of others and it reduced Fenn's vision to a kind of faux-vision that couldn't stretch passed these apparently magically enhanced walls. The level of strength that the Heralds possessed helped to bypass this little technicality though as their aura practically flooded any room they were confined to turning it into a neon sign for any normal, aura-sensing Owl. Che knew where they were. As far as he knew, the room between his team and their's was empty...
Now, Che reluctantly decided, was time to plan. It was time to make each person's weakness a strength and deduce ways to inflict some damage upon Timothy and Rage. There was another person in that room with the power of a Herald, but the reading from them wasn't distinct. It was enough to bring a bead of sweat to the Owl's brow. The reading he was gathering from the fighter was like placing his face near an open, oven door. It was that aura that currently clashed with Tim's. That could only mean that he was on th--
Cerb's speed was picking up quickly and so was the animal's breathing and slobbering. The others that had arrived had gone quiet leaving Che to wonder only two possibilities. Either that mutt had eaten them quickly...silently or it was doing something else....like charging for him. The Mastering Owl simply rolled his eyes and stopped walking. Why...even...bother getting out of the way? The room was massive and Cerbs walked faster than Che ran when he wasn't using his card powers anyway. After being headbutted and flying into the air, Che sighed and his expression was pricelessly blank. This moment, he knew, wouldn't be the last and it surely wasn't the first so no surprise was present. Only the expectancy of landing between Kate and Demios which he did after being airborne. Landing with a plop and a 'umph', Che soon fell backwards as the pain of landing bareback on the animal shot through his lower extremities. In strained, slightly higher tone, the Italian murmured just loud enough for the dog and the rest to hear, "I'm taking you to Hell to get neutered when this is all over...ugh, ridiculous mutt..."

"Spare me the history lesson please Lucien. I'm more focused on killing this idiot than I am any words of wisdom," said Roulin as his lavender eyes rolled about in his dry, coarse sockets. The mind of the Life Owl was all but rabid now thanks to recent events. Lucien was right in his guiding words though. At this rate, or rather at this moment, Roulin's mission acted within him as a program would act within a machine. It was his purpose and he wouldn't cease until his goal was met. His two teammates, he figured out only cause a struggle and provide an unneeded obstacle. He could fight back the growing sensation of nostalgia that crept over him. The union of the trio was pleasant yes, but Roulin would never openly admit that. After Cecilia responded to Lucien's congratulatory statement, the Italian smirked then chuckled to himself. It was his lack of silence that he hoped would show that he was proud of her.
The heap of magma passed the threshold from the other ornate room into the next and much to his surprise, the woman Timothy referred to as The Oracle was standing there safe and sound. There was no doubt in his mind that she wasn't dead, but he was more taken aback by the sight of her. She was closer to danger here than any other room in this old Exire. Then again, it was obvious her purpose was here. She stood at a pedestal which beneath it sheltered a long, winding and glowing stairwell. "Raven? Good to see you're alright," said the Magma Owl as his true form lifted from the smoldering, darkening pile of melted rock. "As you can see, I've found stragglers or rather they found me." Over the tatters of the black and red longcoat, Soliel could see the detective trio entering the room behind him. It was obvious they were raised in a barn as they'd left the door behind them open. Heating his hands up to the point of dripping, the blonde hothead turned to face them. If Raven was here, then her protector Timothy had to be present as well...somewhere...
"Revenge, revenge, revenge. That's been my life and it'll be my death, Lu. That's the certainty by which I li--" At the emergence of that all too familiar voice...that voice that tugged relentlessly at his already burdened nerves each moment it rang in it it's ear, Roulin's run slowed to a walk before degrading to a complete standstill. His eyes narrowed not with surprise, but with an expectancy that only Raven or Lucien could pull from him. He'd healed over the past few minutes, but it was all to apparent that the blonde woman hadn't. She was as defenseless now as she was before. Soliel meant nothing as Lucien could very well deal with him alone. Hell, Cecilia could fight and beat him without her extra abilities. The Owl of Grey spared the cowardice blonde no credit. He was but a molehill that believed himself to be a volcano.
"Don't you people ever die?" Roulin's attention lifted from Soliel and was placed upon Raven. Feeling out her emotions, he could sense that she wasn't as confident in fighting. Not right now anyway. A smirk pulled his thin lips spreading them fearlessly...haphazardly. The nerves around the man's eyes bulged again and with them, he stared at the woman high above them all. He wasted no time teleporting to a few steps below her leaving Cecilia and Lucien to deal with her blazing mook. "You're aura right now is timid...unsure of this moment. Peculiar seeing as how when faced with certain death, you usually find a way to snap back."
A hand rested against the cylindrical pedestal that once held Che's deck. The area Roulin touched shined for only a fraction of a moment, then fell to molten pieces under his influence. "The Oracle eh? You've fulfilled your purpose y'know? Get my father's deck and run with it or something...ransom or whatever it is you people do. Tim isn't here to protect you and there are no other Herald's here either. Not only that, but you're obviously at your power's end, Catherine. If you will, just give me Che's deck and--"
Soliel aimed a thick glob of magma at Roulin's face in order to move him away from Raven. He couldn't tell whether or not she was in possession of Che's deck, but it didn't matter now that her life was once again in peril. If it were up there still, he'd get it. If not, she undoubtedly had it already. The Life Owl reeled away from the shot narrowly dodging it as it passed by him into the wall. The Italian stumbled backwards and rolled down a step or two before catching himself. As yellow rings formed around his red irises, Soliel shouted up to Raven, "Just run!" Giving Lucien and Cecilia no quarters, he released a storm of similar blasts upon the duo. "Run to the next room! I'll try to hold them off as best as I can!"
