"Thanks... Akia... for being around...." Vaati coughed up more blood. The hat was giving him enough magic to last longer than normal, but soon he would give out. "Opal... you're the only... one... I've smiled... too... ask A-Akia... I... love you... too... just like a... sister."

Opal - Wind's Child____________________Opal sobbed harder, she moved forward and wrapped her little arms around his neck, not caring that her dress got bloody as she hugged him. Of course, Opal didn't care about anything anymore. "I hope.... that were you go.....there's lots of wind.....and lots of strawberries..." She muttered to him, not wanting him to leave... not wanting to let him go.

"Opal... thanks... I hope... you don't follow... for a long time..." He said was he brought up on arm to hug her back. It wasn't long after that his eyes closed, and his muscles went limp. The wind died down.
Vaati was dead.

Taka hugged Sora. "Come on, it's going to be alright. We'll get her back."
"Y-You're name's Taka isn't it?" Sora said. He knew it was the same Taka that he'd met thirteen years ago. "Why? Why did you have to grow up? You're a swordsman and I'm still a child! You've moved on and I'm still a child!" He shouted, angry he kicked Taka and in turn more tears went down Sora's face. He was a child; he wasn't built for sorrow.
"Hey... You're not just some kid, you know. You're much more than that." Taka said as he looked at Sora, a grin on his face.
It was at this moment the floormaster returned and grabbed Sora. Everyone was shocked. Luna tried to pounce on it and Taka even fired a blast of light at it. It was too late. While the creature fell dead, it's deed was done. Sora was lost in the shadows.
"I don't want to be like you! I want to be myself!" Kaya shouted as she pushed the shadow away and ran. She didn't know where she was running; she just ran.

Opal - Wind's Child____________________Opal still had tears slipping down her face, she lowered him to the ground and looked at his still face. "....He's really gone...." She managed to say. The tears had suddenly stopped. She was crying so hard, why had they suddenly stopped now? Because... you know now... he's really gone... for real this time. She thought to herself. Silver - The Hopeless Elf____________________Silver gasped, Ezlo had suddenly disappeared. She had no idea where he had gone. But the hat had vanished. "Ezlo?!" She shouted looking around. She looked ahead seeing Akia, and Opal. "Oh goddess...no..." She muttered. She saw him lying there. "Please... tell me that's Dark, posing as Vaati again..." She muttered approaching them.

Ezlo gazed at his new form, no... not new. It his old form; his formal self. He smiled, then remembered what it could have meant. He either felt really nice or... he was dead. He ran after Silver knowing that he couldn't see him in his Minish form.

Kaya ran farther and farther. She was nearly a full shadow when she saw a familiar face at last. It was Sora's.
Sora hit the ground hard. He landed on his mask which, in turn, split in two down the middle. He saw Kaya running towards him. He got up and ran towards her."Kaya!" He said. His tears stopped.
"Sora!" She shouted as she hugged him. Her tears stopped. They were together now and they both knew nothing could keep them apart.

Opal - Wind's Child____________________Opal ears twitched, she heard little feet. Then she saw him, Ezlo running towards her. She stood up, but she didn't have to walk far. She bent down and picked him up gently. "So... this is what you look like... so... then that means... he really is..." She said to her hand. Of course, that's what Silver and Akia would assume if they were watching her. But really, she was speaking to a small elder minish. She turned her hand towards the now dead Vaati.

"Sora, Ganon's monsters are doing this! I don't know why, but they've been stealing children away for centuries! Look at all of those shadows, and I'm about to be one of them!" She said, afraid.
"No, it was just one monster. And it's dead now, Taka and Luna made sure of that." He pulled out the fragments of his masks. "I wonder..." He gave the right half to Kaya and held the left half himself. With a nod, they put them on at the same time. There was a flash of light.

"Opal, I'm sorry this was the way you had to find out. Who did this?" Ezlo looked at Vaati. This was the first time he could really see the student he lost. Vaati looked peaceful, just like he was sleeping, aside from the massive hole in his chest.

The flash was seen throughout the Dark Realm "How did you two get in here?" a group of shadow children hissed. "You are not welcome!" Together they cast a spell of dark magic on Kaya and Sora and they disappeared.
Sora looked at himself. He was different. Then he looked at Kaya and she was different. They were adults now, around seventeen years of age, the same form the Great Fairies had given Sora and an adult form of Kaya. She still had her hair braided into a long tail that reached down her back. She still wore a simple blue dress.
Sora kissed her. He didn't know what came over him.
Kaya, taken by surprise, kissed him back. She didn't know what came over her.
Then they stopped at looked at each other and knew. It was love that came over them and despite what the world was like; at that moment they couldn't have been happier.

Opal - Wind's Child____________________"Dark... but he wasn't around long enough to see Vaati die." She said turning again and pointing to the robes that Arious had bought for Dark. "Ezlo... is it alright if I take the Minish cap off of Vaati? Yeah, I know that's what it's called... Will it turn him back into a Minish if I do?" she asked looking down at Ezlo. "....Oh...and Ezlo....Vaati say's he's sorry....." She added. (Opal: What?! I'm the only kid now? >.<)
