*Kero sighs...then snaps his fingers...and Paladine, of all creatures, feels what Kero guesses Takhisis is feeling at this point...every bit of it*

The great dragon's aura must be composed of some form of aethric rubber for the spell bounces right back at Kerobian, causing him to do some fancy mental footwork to avoid having it hit him square on. No wonder the old man doesn't fear much these days. He's so wrapped up in shields, it's a wonder he can even move.

*So Kero decides to get fancy...and sends an illusions towards Paladine instead...the dragon-lord finds himself facing an angry mother, paddle in hand, the remains of a broken cookie jar at his feet*

Paladine shakes his great head and blows on the illusion. "I've never ever broken a cookie jar in my life..." he grumbles watching the vision fragment and blow away. "He's going to have to do better than that, to get my goat." Laughing, he continues on.

*Or so he thinks...when he suddenly finds himself shrunk...to the size of Luciel...*

Now this upsets him and he let's out a mighty roar... which given his size isn't all that frightening. He scans the area for his attacker and finds....

*Nothing...only the rush of the wind...until he does begin feeling what Takhisis was getting...though even as he twists around, there is nobody there...*

Paladine snorts testily and focuses on his shields, seeking to find out the source of his discomfort.

Nos he flies back towards Kekrobian, or to where he left Kerobian, certain that if the mage is not the source of his problems, he could at least steer him in the right direction.

*Except he can't find him...and when he tries to move, he feels insubstantial hand pick him up and continue the treatment*
Note: Illusion didn't work...so Kero animated a memory of his...and looped it, adding greater depth each time...pain only...then impact...now control, etc.
He'll release him soon...but E'li will have no help until then...

Paladine is furious! Never has he been manhandled in this way before... most likely because of his nature... he's not exactly a rebel.... never has been... and this is something new for him.... He doesn't like it one bit, either... as he truly despises bullies.

*Now he sees a picture forming in front of him...of his sister...getting it...even worse than he is...day in...day out...because of the single minded guardian they set on her...and his own grows to her level for a minute before he is put down*

Nice lesson, I suppose... says the Northwoods author... but ye forget whom yer dealing with here. Paladine is a lawful good deity, which means iffin he feels the punishment is deserved, he sees nothing wrong with it, as long as the punishment is delivered exactly as he has declared it to be. And she did attack young individuals, dragons and other creatures, who were incapable of defending themselves, many of her own kind as well, some of whom have died as a direct result of the fact. In his eyes, she deserves every spanking she gets. In fact... she's dang lucky he didn't figure out how to infect her with her own worm. That was but a fleeting thought though on his part. He is a good creature after all and to have done that would have been going overboard.
He shuts the vision out. Takhisis has done too much harm over the ages, shattered too many hopes and killed far too many individuals for him to care anymore. If he could terminate her he would, but he can't.

*Sighing at his father's stubbornness, Kero releases him from the memory...but he finds himself flung out of the Void...with much force...a note from Kero tied to his tail...he is still small*
Pity and Empathy are more suited to a deity of Good than hatred, malice, and stubbornness...learn to forgive, father...or you'll wind up like I did...and don't think about denying the three things I said earlier...you do hate your sister, and have no little malice towards her, and as for stubbornness...you could give a donkey lessons...until you can learn to empathize with even the most wretched of creatures, and have pity for them for losing their way, then you will not come back into my realm...and All-Ruler help you if you do...
