Reshion barley heard what Thomas said. He heard band shirts. Then his vision went black. Reshion's breath was jagged and shallow. He fought for air, he tried to breathe, but it was as if his lungs were dipped in ice water. "Pull through." He managed to gasp, standing up, only to fall to his knee again. "Help me. Thomas, Crimson. Help." He gasped, still blind. He fell to the cold floor, his face on the tile. "Get up Renshion. Get up." He said to himself, battling the darkness.
It was like he was in a pool of darkness, and there was only one way to go.....down. He gasped and sputtered. He struggled for air. Still blind, he tried to get up, but to no avail.
"Please Reshion. Get up." He said, trying to get up. His muscles barley responded, then....nothing.
All you are is a hassle to this group. What you need to do is leave. Leave them all alone. Don't bother them anymore. Just leave. But wait. You can't get up! You can't breathe. Or do anything at all. The best thing you can do is die.... The same voice said.
It was the last thing Reshion heard, then....nothing.

She smiled politely and held up her water. "I have this thank you." She looked a bit confused. "Umm...What are those things anyway...?" She said. "One of my friends got bit...I hope she's alright...." She looked saddened and looked towards the door. "I really hope she isn't hurt...." She sighed and looked back at Nikita. "I have a questio-- before she could finish her sentance, a sudden burst of zombies flooded at the door. "O-Oh my god!" She said as suddenly one got in and before she could react it grabbed her arm.

Dreaming....
He loved it. It let him know he was still alive. "Thank you god." He said, standing up. He looked around...Darkness. Pulling out his pistol, he walked deeper into the darkness, his footsteps echoing in the silence. "I have to be dreaming." He said, still walking, pistol ready to fire. "You shut up and sit down Reshion!!!!" He heard a voice scream. Panicking, he ran, and as he ran, a white light began to emerge. He was blinded by it, and he shielded his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he was in his living room. He immediately knew the scene. It was Christmas when he was only eight. His father was screaming.
"Shut up you half-breed b*****d!" He saw his father, who was raising his hand to the young Reshion. His father struck him, his white hair spilling across the floor as he hit it.
"Don't take that!" The older Reshion screamed.
Nothing. They couldn't hear him. He was in a dream world. Question was....where was he in the real world? Was he safe?
No time for that. He couldn't bear to live this scene out again. And where was his mother?
A moot question. She was passed out drunk in her room.
This is why he was impulsive. This was why. His parents. His whole personality stems from them.
A door opened behind him.
White light again. He walked through, landing in a field.
Again, Reshion remembered this scene. He was ten, and in his first simulated battle.
Paintball. His father literally made him go into the tounament.
The pain was too difficult to relish. Reshion didn't want to go through it again.
The younger Reshion flipped through the battlefield. There were simulated people acting as zombies, and Reshion was the only person alive on his team.
I won't give up... He thought as he tagged his own teammate who changed into one. Taking his paintball gun, Reshion dropped his, shattering the co2 tank. He rifled through his teemmates things and grabbed a vest and more ammo.
half a mile left... He thought, running down the field.
In the real world, Reshion blinked his eyes open.
Sighing, he stood up.
"My father....." He said, walking into the bar. He sat in a chair and put his head in his hands.
"Time for me to grow up Ren." He said, sniffling.

Ada reached the latch door and opened it. She felt the cool night air caress her face as she stepped onto the roof and closed the latch door. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She needed to stop and breathe every now and then; to prove that she still had control over her body. To prove that she was still human. As she exhaled and opened her eyes, she heard what sounded like people in agony. She heard people moaning and screeching and loud, raspy breaths. "s**t!" she yelled as she saw the silhouttes of many zombies extremely near her store. She picked up her shotgun and began shooting at the crowd of zombies. The problem was, she still couldn't see well, so all her shots were missing. As she walked to the edge of the roof, she heard shattering glass. That...That's impossible! Her thoughts yelled at her. Nothing could break through my defenses! She jumped off the building and landed on a closed garbage dumpster. She could see where the infected were now. The light from the store was now pouring onto the streets through the broken door. When she had cleared a safe radius around her, she jumped off the dumpster and landed awkwardly on the ground. She roared as she felt the pain in her ankle shoot up her leg. She limped to the broken door. It was a pretty small door, for security reasons. Most doors to gun shops weren't very large. Thankfully, this meant that zombies couldn't flood in all at once. She peered into the shop, seeing a couple of zombies already inside. She brought her eyes to her cousin and shouted. "NIKITA. GET ON THE ROOF. NOW!"
"Those things are my love slaves. I summoned them from hell to satisfy me in ways no other being can." He responded to Eri, trying to keep a straight face but then burst into laughter. "Honestly, I can't tell you what they are. I'm guessing they're zombies. And if you're friend's been bitten by one of them..." He said as he put his right hand on Eri's shoulder. "Then she's probably one too." He wanted to apologize to her, but before he could, he heard Ada's gunshots. Almost immediately after that, the front door was busted open and a zombie had gotten hold of Eri's arm. In one swift motion, he covered Eri's eyes with his right hand and shot the zombie in the head with his left. After the zombie had hit the floor, he grabbed Eri's arm and got in front of her. He reached into his pocket and fumbled around until his fingers touched a solid object. He pulled out his Swiss Army knife and handed it to Eri. "Take it. It's like a switchblade." He said quickly as more zombies moved towards them. "Just get to the roof and stay there. Do you understand?"
He didn't wait for a reply. He just spun around and shot the two zombies who had gotten inside. He was expecting more zombies to appear, but instead he saw Ada. "I'm not getting to the roof!" He answered. "Just shut up and let me help you!" He yelled. He ran towards Ada. She hurt her leg. He though as he eyed his cousin's leg. "You're hurt. Just get..." But he didn't finish his sentence. He was distracted by more zombies coming his way. At the same time, both he and Ada raised their weapons in front of them and began firing upon the zombies. When they had cleared the front of the store of any living zombie, he saw Ada rush inside the shop. He followed after her and saw that she was trying to lift one of the two counters vertically to block the door. Without hesitation, he ran to help her and pushed the counter to block the door. He also placed some shelves to fortify the door. When he was finished, he fell to the floor panting. "I sound like Charlie." He said as he coughed. "I hope he's doing well." He said jokingly. Charlie came in this week. He dropped off some supplies. And then... "Ha! I'm so stupid." He said then ran towards the back end of the shop.
His friend Charlie had dropped off the box of holo-sights and a couple of custom guns. He had forgotten that he told Charlie to put it in the back. He found the box, which wasn't very big, and brought it back to the front. "This is what I have been meaning to give you." He said as he placed the box on the floor. He peeled off the tape with his fingernails and opened the box. "I was getting a bit paranoid. You could say That I got a little carried away." He said as he reached into the box and pulled out a much smaller box. When he opened it, he found his holo-sights. "This," he said as he held it up. "Will illuminate a crosshair up to 50 yards away from your pistol for easier aim. That will come in hand when we're in the dark again. Best part of all, get this, there's no forward light. You know how lasers have a point but you can't see the light in between the point and the actual laser? It's like that. But much cooler." He kept digging around in the bigger box and found the three M1911 he had ordered. He pulled them out and attached the holo-sights to all 3 of them. "Here." He said as he handed two pistols with pictures of women exposing their breasts to Ada. "You get those two. And if you don't like those lovely ladies, then you can give them to me and keep your shotgun." He turned his attention to Eri and said. "I don't want you near a gun. Not because I don't trust you with one. I just don't want you to learn how to use it...yet. I'll let you use one when you hit 18. OK?" Then he looked back in the box. "And I get to keep these." When he said that, he pulled out the last M1911. It was black and sleek, with the word "Badass" written on the side of it in silver. He placed it on the floor next to him, then reached back into the box. He pulled out something long that was wrapped in brown paper. He unwrapped it and admirably said. "AK-47 with 1PN51 night scopes." He looked at it and sighed. "The things I would do to her if she was human."

Eri's eye twitched. Some boys are strange... She thought as she stared at the switchblade she was handed. "Do..Do I really have to use this thing..?" She said, frowning. "I don't like violence...." She sighed. She put it in her pocket and finished drying off her hair, then she noticed something and her eyes widened. "O-Oh no..." She whispered. She had been bit on her left arm.

Ada stared at the pistols Nikita handed her. "These will work fine." She said as she tried to not pay attention to the naked women on her gun. He's such a pervert. There's no use for having boobs on a gun. But he was trying to be nice. Atleast it's quicker than the shotgun. She thought. Won't have to take so long to reload. She returned her gaze to Nikita. "But I think you're not badass enough to carry that pistol." She teased. She turned on the device he had put on the pistol. It illuminated a little target sign on the wall. "You're right. There is no forward light." She said excitedly. She moved her gun so the crosshair would move and laid it on Eri's chest. "Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. It wasn't a threat or anything. It was an accident." She thought she had made it perfectly clear that she was sorry, until she saw Eri's lips move as to say 'Oh, no.' "What?" Ada asked her. "What's wrong? I already apologized!"

She blinked. "Oh...It's not that...." She looked pale and frightened. "It's nothing! Really!" She smiled awkwardly. Her stomache growled and she laughed in relief at the distraction. "I didn't eat this morning.." She went off guard, and the bite was in plain sight without her noticing. "Well, do you have anything to eat..?"

"Oh. No. We don' have any food. We have plenty of water in the back, thought." She stared at Eri. This kid is weird. She thought while staring at the girl. She's very pale. There's something that just not right. Ada looked down and glanced at the two dead zombies. They could be us. "I'm going to take care of these guys." She told Nikita. She crouched over the zombie and put her hands under it's armpits. She hauled him up and dragged him up the stairs. She went through the latch door and disappeared into the darkness.
Nikita heard the conversation between Ada and Eri. This probably isn't the best place for us right now. He thought. We still need to stock up on food. He walked up and looked through his backpack until he found a chocolate bar. "It's not much, but'll hold you over 'til we get some food." He said as he stretched out his arm to offer Eri the chocolate bar. He stared at her left arm and immediately pulled his arm back, as if it had touched fire. "You were bitten." He whispered. He was in shock. She was the person that he was trying to protect the most, and he failed. There's nothing you can do for her now. Just kill her! She's gonna turn into one of those zombies and she'll kill you both. He thought. But I can't. Not yet. When the time comes, I'll do it. She deserves some time. He looked up at her. "Come on." He said as he headed towards the back end of the store. "Let's try to clean your arm up as well as we can."

When he pulled his arm away, Eri's heart almost stopped. So he saw.... She nodded when he said that they needed to wash the bite. She looked down. "You're going to kill me later aren't you..." she said sadly. She sighed. "Well....I guess it's for the best...." She smiled although in her heart she had a painful urge to cry. "I think that my arm really needs to be cleaned..." She made a face and giggled. "It has nasty spit on it!" She tried to joke it away, but her voice was shaky and her eyes were watery. She followed Nikita silently to go clean her arm.
[I dunno but I think I gotta go soon.]

[[ crying ...OK.]]
Nikita guided her to the bathroom in the back. He turned on the faucet and let Eri's arm run under the cold water. He couldn't look at her face. He knew tears were forming in her eyes. Instead, he stared at the sink. "Cold helps stop the bleeding." He said sadly. He bent over and opened up the cabinet underneath the sink. He pulled out a bottle of hydrogen peroxide. She was supposed to be safe. His thoughts forming hysterically in his mind. I was supposed to be bit...not her. He twisted the cap off the bottle of hydrogen peroxide and said, "This'll sting a bit. But I don't think it'll hurt as much as having your arm friggin' gnawed off." He said with a smile. He gently poured the hydrogen peroxide over Eri's bite and watched the mixture of it and blood go down the drain. "I won't tell Ada. She will kill you. And no, I won't kill you. Not yet. It'll be a while before you turn into one of them, and you can stay with us. I'll let you choose: Either stay and I'll kill you when you turn, or you can leave now." He felt terrible to have to say this to such a young girl, but he had no choice. There was nothing he could do or say that would be fitting for the moment. He glanced again at her bite. She needs to cover that up. "Hold on a moment." He said as he left the bathroom and got an old t-shirt out of his backpack. A few seconds later, he returned to the bathroom and tied the shirt around her arm. "There. Ada's going to notice. Just say I accidentally cut you when I handed you the knife." He said. Get your head straight, man. You should be killing this chick. He yelled at himself. I know. But she's not turned yet. We'll be fine as long as she doesn't convert into a zombie. He stared at Eri and said, "Go eat that chocolate bar. It'll help."

Nina grabbed Garath's hand and smiled sheepishly. "Let's go down stairs." She said pointing with her nose at the stairs. "We can wait for the food to be ready and pretend life is normal for a little bit." She said with a sad smile. "Perhaps... Imagine... It's a friend's birthday or something... That's why there is so many people..." She said mostly to herself. She looked at a clock on the wall as she led Garath down the stairs. It's already 10:32... They left when there was still light left. She thought about Kalila's group. Hopefully they get back soon. We can all sleep... We're going to need are rest to deal with these zombies. She thought with a frown. They reached the bottom of the stairs and Nina turned right, Garath still in hand. She walked through the breakfast area and into the kitchen. Nina led Garath to sit at the small table in the kitchen, later she would take everyone into the dining room.
"Wow... This is going to be a real treat." She said with a smile to Crimson and Thomas. Her eyes wandered on the floor as she spotted Reshion, twitching on the floor once again. They're happening too quickly now... Something's wrong. We need a real remedy... A natural one perhaps. She thought looking around the kitchen, until she spotted the cabinet she was looking for. She walked to it, opened it, took out a packet of ginseng, walked back to the table, put on top of it, and looked at everyone in the room. "Once the kid wakes up... "Nina started, using her normal term again. "We need to make him eat some of this... Ginseng is know to be a good muscle relaxant..." Nina said with an affirming nod. "Now..." she began, trying to change subject. "Does anyone need any help...? Minus Reshion." She asked looking from Crimson to Thomas.

Eri Wiped her eyes and nodded. "Ok." She walked over and grabbed the chocolate bar, then sat on the floor eating it. "I wonder.....What's going to happen now... I guess I won't be graduating college...." She sighed. "I was going to make a world record...13 and graduating....but that's just a fantasy now..." She said sadly. She finished her chocolate bar and looked at the blockaded doorway. "I should leave...before I just cause trouble for people...." She started coughing. "And I think I have a cold.....They don't need me to make them sick..." She said to herself. She stood and walked towards the blockaded opening, then turned and said, "Nikita-san...can you open this..?" She pointed her thumb at the door as she spoke. She'd rather get eaten than turn into one of those things!

Mizuki looked at the group before him and nodded. His mood was a good one. Spawned, or so he reasoned, from a number of things. From the fact he had fufilled his last promise of food to himself, so his Hunger seemed to be leaving him be - trusting that the moment they hit the food store he would be sated. Without his Hunger he was no longer feeling the premamature agitation that led to Rage - and that in itself was something to be happy for. Then there was the fact that tension had slipped from the group, or had so in his eyes. Then there was the fact that, majoritvely under his leadership, they had succeeded in Phase One of their mission. That success was one of the most contributing factors to his good mood. The sensation that he had achieved something great and led others on to do the same. Good feelings.
Looking across he saw Kalila putting on her equipment and smiled. He also noticed, for the first time, that her face was now clean. Hmm. He couldn't remember blood there but there must have been for him to have noticed that it wasn't there anymore. Guess you really didn't notice something until it was gone. He reached up to scratch an itch on his chin and found himself mildly suprised as his finger encountered plastic. He sort of snorted a laugh at his own stupidity and ran his hand through his hair as he waited for the rest to follow his and Kalila's influence and don their gear. When this was complete he nodded. He did however note David carrying Alex. He did frown at this, his expression completely hidden behind mask and goggles. "He'll need to climb for himself when we get outside." Mizuki kept his voice low, showing consideration for Alex's situation. Mizuki himself felt tiered at times, but he never slept. Only when his body had completely run itself down and sleep forced itself upon him did he close his eyes and nap. Well, that and when a well meaning but aggressive thirteen year old boy took a pipe to the back of his head. "The climb is to awkward to manage carrying him. But after that, feel free to do what you will."
With that Mizuki turned on heel and crossed over to the other side of the store and to the counter. Planting a hand on it he pushed up with his elbow as he jumped helping vault himself over the top of it. He did check for a door to help out David with Alex but could not see one straight away. Finally he found the latch and undid it, swinging the door open to admit the others more easily. From somewhere outside there was a loud, gut wrenching victory hollar that was followed shortly by numerous others. The chilling sounds of warped animalistic vocal chords carried on the still night air and informed all those within a mile radius that a battle had been won. Mizuki grunted to himself and hurried up his pace. He knew the victorious party would more than likely head straight out to the Onion Bomb, but there was always a chance they may stray off task and wander by here. They would see them through the window and that would not be good news for any of them, especially seeming that technically, there was no window. Jus an empty frame. He hurried up the stairs, hefting his shot gun even though he knew that the upper floors were empty having previously scouted them. Arriving on that floor he spared no time to glance over the torn and empty boxes scattered across the floors, or the empty and, in some cases, broken shelves. Instead he went straight for the broken window. The glass had previously been knocked clean out indicating once more that it had been humans who had done this, not Crazies. It made Mizuki wonder where those Survivors were now. . . Safe he hoped. The window was not high up. Mizuki, admittedly being short, could easily just raise a leg and stick it out - stradle the ledge - and climb out that way. Kalila might need help, but he doubted it. Nicholas would be more than capable. It might be a squeeze for the combined forms of Alex and David however. Once out on the balcony he did not delay. The moon shone down, bathing his form in its glow turning him complete monotonious shades of black and silver – eradicating all finer detail. In his mask and goggles he looked quite eerie. Mizuki dashed across the balcony and climbed on top of the railing. The top rail, unlike others, was not rounded. Instead it was flat and a decent width allowing him to balance without too much trouble. Letting his gun hang at his side, he bent his knees and leapt forwards, soaring with great power across the small gap to grab on to the wide ledge of the window facing them from the opposing building. His grip tightened, the leaher padding on the gloves allowing for a good grip. Hauling himself up he managed to get his elbows on it and pulled himself up. It was a wide ledge, perhaps used to rest plant pots on in the days before the Outbreak. A sort of window garden for those living in apartments without a garden to call their own. Wide enough, atleast, for him to kneel on comfortably with his feet dangling off the edge. From there he simply needed to stand up and grab the lowest rung of yet another fire ladder. He found himself grinning. When all this was over – if he never saw a ladder again it would be too soon. Looking over his shoulder carefully so as to not over balance, he looked immediately to Kalila. This would be a tough jump. He had faith in her – but he knew that there was a fine line between faith and common sense. He grabbed the lower rung and began to pull himself up. As his legs drew level with the bottom rung he slide them through. Hooking his legs at the knees over the bottom bar he hung upside down. From here when Kalila made it across he would be able to grab her hands and help pull her up without being in the way of the small space she would need to pull herself up on to. He felt blood pumping round his ears as it began to rush to his head. Clapping his hands, the sound dull and flat from the gloves padding, he pointed to Kalila and beckoned her over.

Kalila and Nicholas followed Mizuki out and looked up at the structure they had to climb. Kalila's jaw dropped and she muffled a laugh. Oh Man... We're beginners. she thought for some reason finding this bit of information humorous. Nicholas on the other hand glared at the obstical. He knew he could do it but it still looked risky. "Aw... F*ck this." He mumbled to himself. D*mn zombies... If it weren'y for you b*st*rds I wouldn't have to do this sh*t. He thought angrily putting on his gloves. As soon as Mizuki unlatched a door for David and Alex a Victory cry, an animalistic sound, but a Victory cry none the less spread through the area. Almost like a wave in a stadium, only with sound. Nicholas absent-mindedly had grabbed his sister's arm. A battle was fought and a group has won. Kalila thought noticing how the sound seemed to be of elation, even through all the bruteness of it. They'll soon find nothing and disperse... Unless there were really people there... In which case afterwards they'll disperse.
The siblings watched Mizuki climb, taking note of what he did. The route looked simple enough, but the things you had to do... Not so much. Nicholas eyes raced to the top, trying to see there main objective and then wentr back down to Mizuki, trying to figure out his path in advance. It was a little game in his mind, to see if his guess was right on the way you needed to get up. There were about three routes out of what Nicholas could see and so far Mizuki had half did one rout and half did the other. It was the way Nicholas's mind worked after so many years of playing video games with puzzles and platforms in them. Kalila's eyes stayed one step ahead of Mizuki, judging the challenge of doing what he was doing. Her eyes fell on the jump she knew was too long for her to make. D*mmit... I'm going to have to ask for Mizuki's help... she thought worriedly. I said I wasn't going to be a burden... And look now. All the calmness she had felt earlier disintigrated. She took a deep breath, ready to ask for Mizuki's help when he himself summoned her over. He had flipped upside down on the ladder, and now looked down on them monkey-like. "Sorry..." Kalila said undre her breath She walked to the stairs and climbed up.
Nicholas looked at Mizuki, highly confused as to what he was doing, until he waved Kalila over. Oh! He thought loudly in his mind, feeling enlightened. He hadn't thought about Kalila having trouble until now. He looked back at the routes and frowned. There are actually a couple places Kali could have problems... he thought, with realization. He looked at his older sister as she went up the stairs and then back at David and Alex on his back. "Crap... I forgot about you guys... he murmured to himself. I have to start thinking about the group and not just myself... he thought, feeling weird at how he could let something so important slip his mind. he looked back up at Kalila, she was now over the window ledge. It seemed the inner part of the skirt part of her dress had gotten caught on some glass. She wretched it free with a tug and a loud cloth ripping noise could be heard. He laughed sliently to himself, I shouldn't wear that stuff so much... Kalila was red in the face with anger and embarrassment as the inner frills of the dress ripped. It now looked shredded as apposed to dainty as it did before. She glared down at her brother as she saw him laughing. She continued her way up and finally reached the part Mizuki hung upside down from. Kalila gave him a sheepish smile as she jumped up and grabbed his hands. The grip wouldn't have worked if it weren't for the gloves, Kalila was grateful for them.
