Lawrence sighed and looked toward Eric. I've screwed myself over haven't I Eric? Lawrence thought. Eric nodded. He knew the look in Lawrence's eyes that he knew he messed up. I love namine. But this kirune is so interesting. I always loved namine. I'm not sure she feels the same though. Both are very beautiful. I hope this doesn't boil over into a bloodbath. I can't stand to see either of them unhappy. Lawrence thought.
(I don't think Lawrence ever said he loved kirune. I'll just assume its one of those implication things. Entertaining nonetheless. twisted )

Oh, she just wants to talk of hair. This should be just fine. Lawrence thought and smiled dumbly. Eric shook his head. you moron! She's about to rip her throat out! Do something you dolt! Eric thought. He thought hard to try and relay the message to Lawrence without speaking. I really should have made you more social. It was your choice to be stuck in the alley pick pocketing. Eric thought.

Eric leapt over the table and ran to Lawrence. "I told you it was tense. Why didn't you say anything?"
"you know damn well I can't handle social situations well. How's I supposed to know this would happen." Lawrence retorted. Eric slapped him in the face.
"Get your act together and help me seperate them!"
Lawrence smacked Eric upside the head. "I'm sick of your crap. Bah! We'll settle this later. You get kirune, I've got namine."
"Why would you get namine? I thought you only had it for the other."
"I'll explain later. Just go now!"
Lawrence ran over and pulled namine back. Eric dragged kirune away from the fray.

Eric rubbed kirunes head and gave her a potion. "I don't think so. I have no idea why this happened." Eric said calmingly.
Lawrence held namine back even more. "what the hell is wrong with you?" she was apparently yelling at kirune. Lawrence summoned his blade and held the bauble to the back of her neck. "I don't want to knock you out, but I will if needed. Now calm down namine!" he said struggling to hold her back with one arm.

Lawrence was shocked. "namine! What the hell? I can't have other female friends."
Eric tried to comfort kirune. "I for one like the new look. What namine has against it I don't know. Wait, I thought she loved me." he glared at Lawrence. "Lawrence geffälttmir! How did you end up with my girl? Did this have anything to do with what happened with her return?" Eric summoned his blade and pointed it at Lawrence. Lawrence held namine closer and cocked a smile.
"didn't you hear me then? Before I knocked your a** out? She was troubled with your dismay in her return. She came to pick up the dog. I gave her a shoulder to cry on and she switched to me. You proceeded to go insane and tried to kill both of us. I knock you out and just before you go down, I say this. 'I kissed your girl' oh how satisfying it was to have all the cards in my hand."
"Bull crap. Sure, I was distraught with her sudden return, but I didn't mean to hurt her. My mind went into the abyss of depression and sorrow to know that I've lost one of my few true friends. That and the tiger was talking so I thought I'd been drugged but that's another story."
"enough of your nonsense fringe. Face it. You've lost this battle. For once I am the victor!" Lawrence taunted. Why am I saying this? This is completely unlike me. I can't control what I say now. Dear god, some body shut me up. Lawrence thought.

Lawrence relished in namines embrace. "I do love it when things go my way. Now we are alone." he smiled hysterically. Outside the door, Eric tore his hand from kirunes. "What could I have done that I haven't already? I've beaten up my best friend in a bout of insanity and nearly killed my girlfriend. Only to find out she's abandoned me. My mind has yet again destroyed my life. I'm doomed to lose her now." Eric sighed after saying this.

Lawrence passionately returned the kiss. This isn't right. Why am I being such a jerk? It feels so satisfying albeit wrong. he thought. He couldn't help but relish in the combination of misery and confusing passion in the room.
Eric wasn't affected by kirune's words. "I don't deserve her. I don't deserve this life. So much misery and pain. Half of which caused by my hand. I can't..." he stopped when she hugged him. I still can't face the world. I need a vacation. Some time to organize my life. Or my death possibly. he thought. He slumped in kirune's arms. He loosely returned the hug.

"as good an idea as that is, I believe this is a problem I need to solve myself. I just need a few days to evaluate all I've done. Bah! What am I saying? I'm no loner. I just need..." Eric paused.
Behind the door Lawrence finally came to his senses and pulled away. "Namine, I do love you and all. But this is wrong. Eric has been through a lot lately and now I drop this on him? It's not right. I need to be there for him." Lawrence couldn't break the embrace. "o damn! Hormones have taken over. I just can't..." Lawrence resumed the kiss deeper now. Outside the door Eric found the words.
"I just need to head home for a while. I just want it all to stop for a while."
