Coremean nodded slowly. He found it unfortunate he couldn't turn back yet, but at least this would be able to help Midna.

Link lifted his head off of his paws as his ears pricked towards the princess. At least Ordona would be restored, which gave them a solid chance at regaining their human forms quicker. He got up off the sand, trotted over to the small, mewling cat, and planted a large lick on the crown of his head. With a breathy woof of comfort, he sat down besides the cat and gave him a sidelong wolf-ish grin. Although Link had been able to understand the cat, he could not form words in the same way that the other animals could. He had to rely on actions, and hopefully he would be able to calm the others until their original bodies were obtained.
{{Just wondering, how long is this side-story thing gonna take?}}

(Side-story? This is part of the main tale! eek Haven't you played TP?)
Zelda looked back to Midna. She didn't look very good. "Damn helmet-head screwed up her balance," she muttered before blushing. That was not a very princessy thing to say. She turned to the floating ball that was Ordona, clutching the pieces of the Vessel of Light. "Please... Ordona... heal her."
The ball of light quivered. "Yes... move her... the Twi-"
"Shhhh!" Zelda hissed. "We'll move her, got it."
The ball of light shook a bit indignantly. "Her balance... the Darkness must... be countered... I understand..."

Link's odd comfort helped, more than he thought it would. Coremean rested his head on his paws and watched the ball of light curiously.

Valven stared at the odd ball of light and it reminded him of a guardian spirit. He then wondered if that was what it was. Valven also thought it would be great for that small little town got cured from this odd twilight.
"At least the town will be safe," said Valven well looking towards the light spirit.

{{I have played TP, but Ordona never gets covered in tiwlight because it isnt in Hyrule proper. Faron is the first spirit you help. There are shadow beasts in the spring in Ordon, but the wall of twilight stops at the edge of the Faron forest. 3nodding }}
As the light filled Link's vision, a soft voice spoke to the princess. It reminded him of the pines surrounding his house, the soft fur behind a goats ears, and the distant eagle that seemed to perpetually soar over the village. It was soothing to Link, and he made sure to listen carefully to the spirit's instructions.

Zelda turned to the animals. "Nobody here knows what we're talking about, do you?" She took the silence to be a yes. "Twilight is directly in the middle of night and day- Dark and Light. The Twilight Realm, is, likewise, in the middle of the Dark Realm and Light Realm. If you think of a Twilight creature's body like a scale, you see a white ball on one side and a black ball on the other. If you put too many balls on one side, the scale tips and... the balance is destroyed." She looked back to Midna. Was she moving? "The helmet-headed guy basically overloaded the Dark side of Midna... if she doesn't get a burst of Light... she's going to die."

((True, but being an animal for so long is rather tedious and annoying. Our characters are stuck like that, but yours aren't so I don't know if you or anyone else feels the same. That's the reason for my lack of posts anyway.))
Rayne shrugged and growled. To be honest, he didn't care if Midna died or not. Zelda seemed to know what she was doing, and she was hlding up better than Midna was. He licked his paws, and immediately stopped when he realized what he was doing.

Viktor heard everything and frowned. Well at least Midna would be cured and all this sudden information would be a bit to take in. Looking at Midna when he heard she might die made him frown as much as his wolf muzzle would allow.

Coremean watched Midna and the floating ball of light anxiously. If he knew how to pray, he would.

(Okay, I'm just going to get this over with quickly. Prepare to be human.)
Zelda did a quick head count to make sure everyone was there. They were. She then walked over to the patch of grass where Midna lay and carefully lifted her. She carried her to what seemed to be a large patch of shade. Then she turned back to Ordona. "Please..." she murmured, throwing the broken Vessel into the pool, "help her... all of them."
Ordona shuddered as the Vessel's remnants splashed into the pool. Then they floated up and out and entered the ball of light that was the Light Spirit. A single beam of light shot out and touched Midna's exposed forehead. Then multiple rays of light shot out of the ball and bathed every animal in the vicinity. More rays of light touched the Twilight above.
Zelda covered her eyes as the clearing lit up with excruciatingly bright light. She could feel the Twilight vanishing. When the light faded, a buck stood in the place of the ball of light and humans (and one creepy metal monster) stood in place of the animals.

Link felt his paws shift, his tail shrink, and his fur recede until he felt a fully human body back in his possesion. He was on his hands and knees, and was gleefully aware of the fact that he even had hands. With a grin wider than Hyrule Field, he stood up, brushed off his pants, and laughed. A short, cheerful sound, just enough to say 'I'm glad to be back.' Looking around at the other humans now crowding around the sunlit area, he turned his gaze to the sky. While he had to admit that the clouds of twilight were indeed lovely, the blue that was reflected in his eyes was nothing short of spectacular. Turning back to the pack of humans, he shrugged his shoulders and smiled again. "I guess we did it!" he announced.

Alaci blinked, then looked down and sighed in relief seeing she was human again, and wearing clothes, thank the goddesses. Alaci studied the now humans around her with her soft orange eyes, brushing a strand of her silvery hair out of her face, "So, what now?" Alaci asked, half relieved to hear her own voice, and not a cat's meow.
When Vitia turned human again, she almost fell out of the tree she was previously perched in. Swearing silently, Vitia enclosed herself in the branches of the tree seeing Alaci. Even though it had been 3 or 4 years, Vitia could still recognize her old sister, "Damn it, that ruined everything, she'll recognize me and..." Vitia thought biting her lip in frustration.
