"I see.... but what used to be a man working solo is now an entire group. Perhaps you should give them a boost. Even if he does go solo, well, that's too bad for Link, isn't it?" Vaati muttered. He could stand not begin used, but he couldn't stand an angry Ganondorf.

Ganondorf raised his minions' power before they left so they would be more tolerant of Link's attacks and could do much more damage.

Eva looked surprised at Tenser as he took her hand and dragged her along. She almost tripped but pulled herself upright and followed after him. "I would be honored..." She said, smiling softly.

Tenser motioned towards a few statues.
"Old monster Ganon made, back when he was still trying to take Hyrule. Wait..."
Tenser walked forward quickly and counted them.
"Some...some are missing..."
Tenser quickly pushed Eva into the shadows and turned to see Vaati heading in their direction.

Eva blended herself in the shadow so she was invisible, and Vaati couldn't sense or hear her. She didn't want Tenser to get in trouble because of her.

"Tenser, are you talking to yourself now? I heard from down the hall." Vaati raised an eyebrow at him. He was suspicious.

Tenser put his cold face on, the one he used a lot when he was lying. It was almost perfect...if he didn't use it every time.
"Hey, pretty much everyone here doesn't know the first thing about conversation other than you, me, and Ganondorf. I think it's okay if I try to entertain myself by talking to myself."
(Tenser doesn't know about Cymbeline yet)

Vaati decided to press a little further. "If you have to go down so far to entertain yourself, perhaps you should be doing something productive? Find a victim to torture if you want conversation. That's at least more sane looking."

Tenser rolled his eyes.
"Torture who? The minions? They don't even scream right...besides, Ganon always orders his victims killed, so this is basically the only alternative."
For an impossible second, Tenser's teachings about lies and interrogation leave him, making him glance at where Eva was to see if she was okay.

"Don't you know anything? You always kidnap your own victims. Preferably female, that way you can 'mistreat' them even more. Technically, it would be YOUR victim, not HIS." Vaati answered with a bored tone. He didn't notice his glance back, nor did he really care where Tenser was looking. There was the only the two of them with statues.

Tenser started to walk away, but not very quickly.
"You sicken me. I don't take prisoners, and even if I did, I don't take pleasure like that. Torture is just for fun."
He hoped he could double-back to get back to Eva.

Eva kept the shadows watching Tenser walk off. She slipped into Tenser's shadow without Vaati noticing, jumping into shadows was easy when the person you were avoiding was being distracted.

Vaati warped behind Tenser to stop him. "Then why don't you torture if you find it fun? And don't judge me, it was just a suggestion. I don't go all the way with them, I hate children. Just enough to spook them, you know? I was well known for kidnapping beautiful, helpless maidens." He sneered.
