A voice sounds in her dreams. Familiar and loving. "mother..." she murmured in her sleep. She could only see her mother's siluhette but she knew who it was without thinking. She tried to run to her but she couldn't move.
"I am proud of you my little Sky Gem. You have grown so big and you have discovered your light." Her mother's voice sounded.
"Mother...." Kasumi murmured in her sleep but yelled in her dream.
"This is only a dream, Little One."
Kasumi quietened and gazed at her mother, "why can't I see you?"
"I am dead." Her voice sounded sad. "But I have been watching over you, my little one. I have seen what you are becoming and I am very proud of you. Always remember that."
A single tear fell to the ground as she slept.
"There will be tough times ahead, Kasumi. But I want you to know that I will always be here." She was silent for a long time. "You're very fortunate, Sky Gem...Your friends care greatly for you, and you are discovering love." The siluhette spread it's wings. "I must go now. Remember you are loved by many."
"Wait Mother! Don't Go!" she yelled in her dream, but it came out in a restless murmur, "mother... don't...." Kasumi woke with a start.

*He wakes up due to the jerks of Kasumi's body. He loos at her with consern.* "You okay my love?"

"No.... not a nightmare." She looked around at them. "sorry, I didn't mean to wake anyone." She settled back down but couldn't sleep. Mother.... I miss you.

She listens to Dashaco's breathing as it grows heavier. She wondered about what her mother had said. Tough times ahead.... well that was kinda obvious. but why was she so insitent about me remembering who loves me?

~Yasumasa stands along the tips of the trees his eyes gazing into the darkness. He hears a twig snapa chucks a star behind him later hearing a clank~
Yasumasa: "Who goes there?"
???: "Sheesh, Yasumasa... It is only me, Spring Fur!" *A flame orange Kitsune came into his view a redwood bow slung across his shoulder and two small blades in hand the star caught between them* "What are you doing here with that demeanor? Did you find Rikkei? Where is he?"
Yasumasa: "He is right under foot, but he is trying to..."
Spring Fur: "Okay, thanks..." *drops down to the ground below*
Yasumasa: "Wait... oh s**t!"

*Dashaco gets up quickly and spins too his feet. he gets ready for a fight. Hew even pulls up a larg rock and is ready to shred this person that droped down from the tree tops.*

Spring Fur: eek sweatdrop "Ah... Ah..." *Gets on his knees* "Please don't hurt me I didn't know!!!"

*He looks at the cretur and then lets the rock down in releaf. He relaxes and lays back down.* "no, I'm sorry I somtimes get a little jumpy." *He falls asleep. The rocks around him start to float.*

Kasumi stares at the creature. "I know your kind!" she exclaimed quietly, not wanting to wake Dashaco and Rekkei again. "You're one of the Kitsune-bito* aren't you?"

Kasumi wince inwardly. "I think it best if you let him sleep." she murmured. "I'm Kasumi. What's your name?" Kasumi was imensly curious about the kitsune. She had only seen them from the sky and only knew what was rumoured, this was the first time she had met one.
