Sowen climbed the steps to the ballroom confidently, he'd stay a moment, socialize a bit and be on his way. Without looking at the man standing at the doors, he flashed his Koiji ID card and entered the elegant ballroom.

With approving eyes Sowen looked around at the scene laid out before him, as expected Koiji's leaders had out done themselves planning and coordinating this event. The lights appeared to complement every guests' attire, most definitely the ladies.

Sowen was in his element, a born socialite, he lived and breathed such occasions. He smoothed a hand down the front of his crisp blue shirt then looked down to admire his long slacks and shined shoes. Deciding all was well he nipped to flutes of champagne from a waiter passing with a laden tray and made his way to a small group he spied. One in the group particularly had caught his eye.

Sowen was not one to be rude, and rest assured, his mother raised him better but he wasn't a man to waste what time he had. She wores a light blue-white dress with heels of a similar colour and mask that hid her identity well without detracting from her apparent beauty.

"Good eve, Madam." Sowen's voice was soft and he bent a little to speak into her right ear. "Good eve, all" He then greeted the others, he was a cultered man after all, but his attention soon returned to the lady by his side. Smiling, he reached his left arm over her left shoulder to present the filled champagne flute to her, "To Koiji." He held his own glass up in salute to their beloved guild.

Another girl entered the ballroom, making a show and apologizing to everyone for being so late. Emily was too far away to tell her it was perfectly alright, so she simply nodded politely to the girl before glancing around the room once more. A little ways off, she could see that Zidane was talking with one of the other male guests. It looked as though they were preparing to dance. She smiled. Good, at least someone was going out onto the dance floor tonight.

"Good eve, Madam." Then to the other three, "Good eve, all."

She heard someone speaking softly into her right ear, and with very little warning. Emily blushed, suddenly very thankful that she was wearing a mask that hid her face. At least she hadn't jumped in surprise, though it had been a near thing. She had to maintain her composure here. "Good evening, sir."

My, was she popular tonight.

He offered her a champagne flute to her, which she received graciously and with a smile. "To Koiji." She echoed.

At the start of the night, the women attending had obviously outnumbered the men. Now, though, it seemed to have evened out to an extent. She had even lost count of how many people were there, in all. That was a good thing. It meant that there were a very good amount of guests.

Sowen nodded to the lady beside him, raised his glass slightly then took a sip. Slowly, his eyes surveyed the layout before him and he found himself curious to the identities of the guests around him. More so by the one closest by him.

"Quite the gathering our wonderful leaders have managed tonight," He turned to face her then and tried to make out the colour of he eyes behind her lovely mask, "I wish one were near by so as it to tell them myself." Smiling, he sipped from his flute again and pretended to be interested in the other around him, "May I know your name Madam?"

Emily sipped from her glass, then lowered it casually. She could see out of the corner of her eyes that the man beside him was scanning the room curiously. Before she could say a word, though, he turned back to her and made a comment of his own. "Indeed it is." She smiled as he took another sip from the flute. "That would be very interesting if one of our leaders were here. This is a nice event that they've organized."

He asked for her name. She nodded in reply. "Yes, you may. My name will be Emily Bates, for tonight." Her head tilted curiously to one side. She wondered if she knew him. "Well, sir, might I ask what your name is?" Beneath her mask, brown eyes studied him. She had put in contact lenses to hide her true eye color. It was a very subtle touch to complete her disguise.

Ah Satan Sees Natasha

PostPosted: Mon Jul 09, 2007 6:03 am

Natasha quickly grabbed a champagne glass and raised it at the toast. "To Koiji!" She replied exuberantly, before setting the champagne back down. Natasha really didn't enjoy liquor, and she was highly against drinking at all, unless it was in moderation, and said drinker took care of themselves. She stepped into the group of guests, merely just listening. That is what Natasha tended to do at parties, especially fancy ones. She didn't want to make a fool of herself like she normally did.

Suddenly, something the girl dubbed Emily said caught her attention. Natasha leaned into the group, almost as if to whisper. "I heard that at least one of the Seniors is here... but it was only a rumor I heard, from a friend of mine." She then realized she really hadn't introduced herself to the whole group. "Oh, please forgive me for intruding - I am Natasha." She extended her hand to everyone, hoping someone would dare to shake her hand.

A lot seemed to happen in a short period of time. Just after she greeted Souta , another man came walking over , introducing himself as Keitaro , or Kei. She nodded in greeting , smiling as well. " It's nice to meet you , Kei , " she said shortly after Emily introduced herself. " I'm Larahn. " That finished , she turned her head to look towards Emily , who continued to speak. She was telling Souta about another girl who seemed like she wanted to dance , and Larahn had to agree ; it certainly looked like the girl wanted to be out on the dance floor.

After another moment , Emily then asked what was likely an important question. Larahn figured that answering it vaguely wouldn't hurt ; after all, it wasn't like she was the only one to join around that time. " I only wish I had found this place a year ago , " she commented with a smile. " Sadly , I've only been here a few months. "

As the conversation continued , more people entered the party. One girl was apologizing for being late , which made Larahn want to laugh , though she didn't for fear of insulting the girl. After all , so many people had arrived ' late ' , if she wanted to call it that. Speaking of which , a man entered the room after her , and she saw that he planned to come over to their group , from the direction he was walking.

Yes , here he came. He seemed to be intent on conversing with Emily , considering how he stood next to her , and, even though he greeted the rest of the group , he still had eyes for her the entire time. The man was interesting , but Larahn soon found herself looking around the room , as his conversation seemed intended only for Emily ; at least, it seemed that way to her.

Suddenly , the girl that had been apologizing before the man showed up came over and jumped into the conversation , which seemed to have been about the seniors of the school. Something about one of them being in the room already. When she introduced herself as Natasha shortly after , Larahn noticed that no one moved immediately to shake the offered hand. Well , she would. With a smile , she took a step forward and shook it. " It's nice to meet you , Natasha. My name is Larahn. " After releasing the hand a moment later , she stepped back again so that she wasn't standing so close , though the smile remained on her face.

"A few months? Well, that isn't too bad. A lot of people have been joining recently, so you've been here longer than all of them put together."

Emily turned her head to see the girl that had joined the group. When she replied to Emily's comment on the Seniors, she looked as though she were spreading rumors herself. "Oh? Well, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them was here. They have to come to their own party, right?" She watched the girl with a curious gaze. "Who did you hear it from? Didn't you just now arrive?"

The girl introduced herself as Natasha and held out her hand for someone to shake. Larahn shook her hand first, and then Emily extended her own hand and shook Natasha's. Her grip wasn't too firm, but it was not so limp as to be compared to a noodle, something her mother would joke about. Her mother had always hated it when people wouldn't shake her hand properly.

Emily's own hand dropped back to her side. "My name is Emily. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Natasha."

Before Sowen could speak again another lady joined their group, leaning in to whisper of the Seniors of Koiji, "Only one senior in attendance? That seems rather odd to me if not rude." She seemed to catch herself and said her name was Natasha before extending her hand. Like he proper gentleman his mother had raised, her took delicately, turned it over, and laid a light kiss on the exposed back, "Honored to make your acquaintance Miss Natasha." He straightened and released her hand.

"Emily," a smile pulled at the corners of his lips, "I trust you are enjoying your evening Miss Emily, the atmosphere seems to agree with you very well." He stepped back, grasped her free hand and kissed the knuckles as he bowed over them, "How rude of me, you may call me Sowen." He stood upright again holding onto her hand a beat longer than was needed.

"A few months may seem a short time but I'm sure you've learned quite alot since you've been here, no?" Sowen asked of th girl in the bright shirt, "May I also know how long you've graced Koiji, Miss Emily?" He asked, always smiling.

"Well, she said that there was only one known Senior in attendance. Surely more than that have attended." Emily looked almost offended that the ones who organized this might not actually be there. Sowen was right. It did seem rude.

"Yes, I am enjoying myself very much, thank you." Emily smiled as Sowen bowed to kiss her hand. She noticed that he had held onto her hand longer than necessary, but she did not comment. When he did release her hand, it dropped slowly back to her side. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mister Sowen."

Emily nodded her agreement with Sowen's statement. A few months might not seem very long, but it did merit a lot of experience with the guild. Her question, though, was redirected at her. She smiled, wondering whether or not to answer. In the end, she chose to reply, though she hoped it wouldn't give anything away.

"I've been here for one year."

"It's very nice to meet you all." She smiled at Emily and Larahn, before blushing at Sowen's politeness. "And I didn't mean just one senior was here. All of them could be here, possibly." Natasha pushed the hair of her wing behind her ear, almost shyly. "All I know is what my friend told me."

To keep conversation flowing, she tried to change the subject. "So, erm... should we all tell everyone a clue about ourselves, just for fun?" Natasha then quickly added when no one responded, "Or not. I'm sorry, it was a lame suggestion..."

Ryuu Crescent Aqua

Alias-cloaked, Aqua flashed her I.D. with a quick smile, and raked a hand through her newly shorn, newly dyed hair. Aqua was late (what was new about that?) but who arrived at a party on time? With a hidden flair of drama, she placed her half-mask over her eyes, scanned the room with her plump lips twisted into a small smirk. In the mirror that adorned one of the walls of the ballroom, she made sure her black Lolita dress was in place. She smiled with sastifaction when she saw that the dress accentuated her curves, and her mask only showed her pretty lips and heart-shaped jaw. Rubbing her pale cheek, she walked over to where she could obtain a refreshment, and smiling to everyone. She straighten her shoulders, cocking her hips with a slight suggestion.

"Oh, well hopefully there are many of them are in attendance, then. It would be more interesting." Emily responded, relieved that more of them might be there. It would be rude if they weren't. Why wouldn't they come to their own party? It just didn't make any sense.

A thought occurred to her, and Emily glanced up at the clock to see what time it was. It was a large, ornate clock mounted on one of the high walls of the ballroom. Upon her inspection, she recognized that it read about 11:50 PM. My, how was time flying. "Giving hints would kind of be a wasted effort, wouldn't it?" She gestured to the clock with one pale hand. "The unmasking is only in ten minutes." Emily smiled. It would be so much fun to find out who was disguised as who. She was also very interested to see how people would react when she unmasked herself.

The clock strikes midnight, sending twelve firm 'gongs' resounding throughout the large room.
When the echoing of the clock has faded, it is finally time for all those in attendance to remove their masks and reveal who they really are.

Though the evening is drawing to a close, people can choose to stay as long as they wish.
