danigo akira I have no friends on gaia at all who play bells or marimba. 2/3 of my main instruments. (third being bassoon) Anyone here play bells/marimba alot in their band class (or free time)

lol very fun instrument. makes life hell though
i play bells a lot, and marimba sometimes biggrin

I got a marimba last year, and it's amazing. I love playing 4 mallets and I also play lots of other stuff. I got to play the Djembe in the last concert, that was pretty fun. I got friggin blisters the day of tho, so it hurt soo bad playing 4 mallets. I'm now band-aid master!!! FEAR ME!

I love to olay marimba at school.Whenever we get a new piece to play i ususally go on the marimba and whenever i have nothing to do lol i wouldnt say marimba is my prime thing to do i do drumming more with snares but that is one of my main instruments that i play xd

My primary insterment is mallets, at first no one wanted to play, so i filed the parts an now I love Mallets. The hardest one for me are chimes.

Well, Alto Sax is my main insturment, but I play the Marimba for drumline. I've played it both seasons I've been a part of it.

I play bells, vibes, xylo, and marimba. So yeah, I'm a mallet player (AND I'M GOOD AT IT! biggrin )

I love mallets. I got stuck in the Pitt freshman year and h8ed it until now. I taught myself 4 mallets and realized how awesome mallets are. I've marched tenors b4 but mallets are definitely the best. I don't care what it is, aside from bells, put it in front of it and ill play... biggrin

pmg!!! i luff bells! since i play piano too. smile but even tho im in luff with snare too im mainly a mallet percussionist. razz yay for da mallets! *bass is my fav along with timpani and bells. smile *

Lol, that means we need to start a thread on proper mallet grip 4laugh So anyway, I'm 1st chair, and all of the other "percussionists" suck terribly, so I have to play mallets (prefferably marimba) whenever a song with that stuff shows up. The second chair isn't even good enough to play it, it took me 10 MINUTES to teach him 4 NOTES. Also, i'm in the Louisville Youth Orchestra percussion ensemble, 2ndish chair mallet percussionist. so yes. I AM the real deal.
