Garath heard a bit of what she said and decided to reasure her rather then answer her question. "Well they weren't in the car at all. From what I gathered they were walking allong when a guy crashed due to a zombie in his car. They proceeded to kill said zombie and weren't hurt at all. They guy was injured from the crash however." He knows that she's worried but he doesn't want her to worry too much. But changing the suject to something less worrying might be good also. "As to the note, I never actually saw it. The guy running from the crowd told us to climb. I remembered a ladder and came this way. So while I have been on your roof, I've never been to the front door. Maybe you might want to put a note on the ladder as well. By the way what did the note say?"

Nina wiped her head just for effect and let out a relieved sigh and smiled a Garath. "That's good to know. Then I'm 100% positive that Kalila and Nicholas survived." She coninued to sit on the window sill as he spoke.
"Oh? That's pretty much crazy. I'm glad to know thach'ya survived such an encounter." She said with a nod of her head. "Well, the note says go to the fire escape. There is pretty much no way that front doors moving. I can't open it from the inside or a zombie can't break it from the outside. I nailed that sucker and stuck a mattress their." She said laugh. "There's a bigger chance of them getting up that fire escape than breaking the front door... Do you think I should put a not on the fire escape? Maybe something like: Survivor inside, fellow survivors come on in..." Nina said with a laugh. She was only half serious.

"Depends if you trust your fellow survivers." He knows that not every surviver will be good and that some are likely to be evil and criminals. But it would be easier to survive with more people. "But if you want your friends to know you might want to put a note there as well. Just in case." He smiles and begins to unpack his bag. "I brought some first aid if we need it. Well anything unzombie related. I really wouldn't know what to do to help anyone who's infected. So what sort of supplies do you have?" It's a good idea he decides to take stock of what supplies are here and if any trips neeed to be made into town to get any.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 20, 2007 6:53 pm

"Hmmm... I don't think I'll write a note." Nina decided narrowing her eyes. "All the people that know me would probably guess I'm pretty safe at the moment and would come here." she said fanning her hands out refering to the house. "When they come here... The first place, in a normal situation, people go for the front door. At the front door they'll see the note and come out into the back and up the fire escape." She finished with a smile.

She watched a Garath unpacked everything. "According to the news," she said pointing at the T.V. "There is no cure discovered for the virus... Also all animals are vulnerable except birds for one reason or another." She folded her arms. "Well, I have about a months worth of food. a quarter of it is parishable... So we'd have to eat that first. We have weapons. There is a few first aid stuff and some medicine. There is plenty of bottled water... And..." She said looking up and tapping her chin as she tried to remember. "There is... a back up generator and batteries... uh... I think that's it." She said carefully. There might have been more stuff and she simply forgot them.

"So... You think that's good enough to survive?" She asked paranoied. She was extremely freaked out by zombie. The thought of them gave her nightmares... Which she'd had plenty. There was a reason she'd taken so many cautions in advanced. The movies scared her, the video games too, and don't forget the stories. She had went to plenty of internet sights with conspiracy theories about zombies. She also had taken plenty of quizzes to make sure she would survive. If the percentage was low she would educate herself. That's the reason she bought the book in the first place. A couple of people thought it was awesome, while others just rolled their eyes in annoyance at her ploys. But now what? She was extremely perpared and survivng. What would they say now? Putas, Now who's the one on top... While you're probably dead. she laughed mentally, but at the same time felt kind of bad.

Mizuki decided in a split second decision that he would go with the siblings.
He'd prefer the company of two to nothing, even if they were very young.

He began to descend, already not liking the way that the girl was leading the group. He felt put out of place, his man hood put to question, by the fact he was being led by a girl no older than sixteen.
He chose not to comment however. Instead his mind turned to other things.
Like the question of fighting now that he knew close range was out of th question.
He had hastily crammed the ornamental dagger in his belt but left the array of kitchen knives and the corkscrew on the roof.
As he climbed down slowly, rung by rung, he thought of ways to counteract the problem of gore.
Then it hit him.
He picked up speed, and quickly catching up with Nicholas, pushed off seven rungs up and jumped over the youngsters head, landing cat like, absorbing what should have been a painful impact without even batting an eye lid.
Instead, a smile was on his lips, a plan formulated and clear in the center of his mind.
He slung off his shot gun and cocked it in his hands.

Mizuki turned to the siblings and grinned.
"You might not have to compromise your fighting styles." Mizuki said softly. He turned round and began to run in the opposite direction.
Then, common sense took hold, and he spun on his heels.
He seemed remarkably relaxed about the extremity of the situation. As if the prospect that gorey agonising death could be lying in wait just round the next turn didn't bother him at all.
He walked back to the bewildered looking siblings and let out a slight awkward laugh in way of apology for his erratic behaviour.
"There's a DIY shop just on the next block and across." He said, as if this explained everything. "Goggles, sanding masks. Adaquate protection from the risk of spray back I think.
And now i think about it, six blocks iiiiiiiiiiiiiiin," he did a slight turn on the spot, coming to a stop in a north easterly direction, "that direction, is the store where my dad got this shotgun. If it hasn't already been ransacked, it'd be well worth checking out. Though I'd suggest doing it sooner rather than later, anyone could come along and empty the place before we get chance."
Then the grin on his face faded and his expression became serious - his adult sense of responsibility kicking back in.
"I'm going to head off to the DIY place now. I know exactly where it is. I estimate it'll take me, allowing time for any, er, inconvinences along the way, about thirty to forty five minutes to get there and back. In that time, it's my strong opinion, that you two should go back and wait on the roof. If we're going to be missioning it together that is."
He took time to study both their faces.
"Right." He said gathering his thoughts.
"I am assuming we're going to be helping each other from now on, right?" He didn't wait for affirmation. "In which case, being the better practiced at this, I think I should go and get the goggles and masks. That'll ensure you two can fight to a degree. I would prefer for you two to sit this one out just in case. However, I think we should raid the arms store together - as I can't hope to carry all the ammunition and fire arms we'll need collectively and still be light on my feet. After that stint I think we'll be adaquately prepared to trek it to this Nina's place. So basically, what I am trying to say is, will you two wait here for me to get back with protection from the DIY, or are you going to leg it off to this Nina's place and leave me standing in the rough. It's okay if you wanna split, I just need to know if we're a team on this and if so, wether or not you agree with the plan."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2007 12:56 pm

Garath relaxes a bit leaning against the wall. "Well It sounds like your really really prepared. But I might be a good idea to wait a bit and then head into the city and pick up more supplies and fuel. Or it might be best to go now before there are too many zombies. Or wait till the zombies move elsewhere after a couple weeks." He sighs and scratches his neck. "I'm kind of lost with what to do." He smiles remembering some old ideas about what to do if zombies atacked. "You know I once considered what I would do if zombies attacked. I planned to go to a store that I had a part time job at. It had every thing there. Food, water, barred windows, and tools. Kind of weird how these sorts of plans never work out the way you expect them to. Did you ever day dream about zombies and what you would do?" He knows it's a silly question. But it had once been a fun thing to argue about, while watching old zombie movies with friends.

Kalila's eyes went wide and her mind felt a slap of betrayal even though her brother and her only knew Mizuki for a couple of minutes. According to the expression on Nicholas's face, he felt something similar. But, luckily for them, the oldest of their "group" turned right back around. They relaxed, at first they thought he was running off, leaving them alone. He explained himself. As he did, Kalila wasn't liking the idea of splitting up.

"We, of course, are going to help each other from now on." Kalila said quickly, talking for her brother as well. Anything she said he would follow as well anyway. Even if it took some convincing, he would eventually agree to it. "I think we should be a team... But I also think we should stick together." Kalila inserted, her emotions displayed for the world to see. She was never good at hiding them.
"Dude... Nina lives like... Right there." Nicholas said pointing down the street to her house. "Just one block, in that direction."
"I agree. Shouldn't we, perhaps, set up a base of sorts at Nina's house. From there we could go with you to both places and help you get protective stuff and weapons..." Kalila inserted carefully. The way she stood even showed how she was afraid of his reaction and she was standing out on a limb. "I mean... That is if you don't mind." She said quickly, switching her weight from foot to foot every few seconds.
"Yeah yeah! That way we could see what Nina has... and if she needs anything at the same time we could go out for other stuff!" Nicholas said a lot more confident than Kalila.
"We also need to get our stuff on the flag pole..." Kalila mumbled to her brother, pointing down three buildings. She addressed Mizuki again. "You also said you were tired and hungry. Let's just say 'Ok you're not that tired and if you are you can ignore it for now.' But, at least have something to eat from our backpacks. That way you'll have enough energy if something does happen." She looked up at the fire escape and then towards Nina's house. "Tell me what you wanna do and I'll see how me and Nicholas can fit into it." Kalila finally said with a smile at Mizuki. She just hoped for something a little more thorough. It seemed to her the idea just popped into Mizuki's head and he just went with it without thinking it through all the way. But who am I to judge? I could be wrong. This Mizuki fellow could be a complete genius and I just don't know it. she thought, giving him a discreet look over. I haven't known him long enough...

As Kalila spoke Nicholas started frowning. He looked around as if looking for something he lost. After a while he just shook his head as if he just banged his head on something and he was clearing it. Must be imagining things... he thought but put more muscle into his stance and became more aware.

"I'm not completely sure on what to do either." Nina said wiping her hand against her face. It was a nervous habit of hers. "It depends. I mean... If everyone abandoned already then the zombies should figure out there's no food here and leave. Or they should start dying out from hunger if there aren't any people left." Nina sighed. "That would still give us two options: Do it in a couple of days or wait a long time and then do it..." she said. She made a mental note and giggle of how dirty that sounded, but it didn't show in her expression at all.

"Ha ha! You made plans? I so did too. That's why I'm so prepared. I've thought this through like a lot. You have no idea, believe me!" She said with a grin. "I mean... I still have plans for if the house some how doesn't work out. Here..." She said handing Garath the Zombie Survival Guide book. "Ha... What can I say..."

Mizuki frowned.
It was obvious from the way his expression darkened, the way his optics darkened and his knuckles turned a shade paler as he gripped the shot gun.

Still, after a few moments of intense silence, a small smile broke out across his lips.
"Alright. I was suggesting as such, just incase we bump into come Crazies on the way." He frowned slightly but chased the darker mood away none the less. There was no sense in getting angry with a couple of kids which could be his key to a good nights rest - if he could shut his eyes.
He let out a sigh, which was slightly heavier than first intended.
"Okai." He said, the frown not quite leaving his features. "But guns would be our best bet. You bust their skulls they can't do crap, and seeming we have to do it at a distance I'd say my plan was pretty sound. But if you just want to get to this birds house, then I suppose I'd rather go with you and be put on hold rather than be left out here on my lonesome - especially seeming I can't go back and hole up in my apartment anymore."
He was about to say something else, but his stomach emmitted a loud grumble.
He looked shocked for a moment and then laughed.
"I guess I haven't eaten anything in a while. Alright." He turned round and looked at the bags way up on the flag pole.
"I'll get your packs. You wait there and get ready to climb if anything comes, yeah? Take this for me a second;" He shifted the shot gun around his front and shrugged off his pack, handing it to Nicholas. He then shifted the gore splattered plank of wood with the nails in it from his belt and placed it in the care of Kalila, handing her the dagger also.
"If you need to climb, just drop these." He said as an after thought.

Mizuki walked slowly over the building, from which the flag pole was protruding, two bags hung on by their straps.
He hefted the shot gun in both his bands, his eyes darting from ally way to corner and back again - ears peeled for the slightest sign of movement.
He twitched, his pupils shrinking as he heard a rustle near by. He hefted the shot gun without a second blink, finger on the trigger.
There was a flurry of movement as a bird erupted from binliners on the floor. Mizuki only just stopped himself shooting it.
The sound of the gun going off would be like a signal to all Crazies in the area.
Instead, frownign gravely, he stooped and picked up a rock, hurling it overarm at the bird with all his might.
By some striking of sheer luck, the rock slammed full pelt into the birds head, snapping it on impact. The rock landed in a skip near by and the bird fell to the floor with a mild flop, dead before it hit the ground.
Mizuki grinned smugly.
He'd always hated birds. With their beady little eyes and sharp beaks. Shitting on anyone and everything then flying off. Ugh. Disgusting creatures.
Regaining composure, and resisting the urge to go investigate his kill, he made his way to the side of the bulding. Craning his head upwards so much his neck hurt, he was able to locate the bags. Directly above him.
He grumbled to himself about minor difficulties before turning to asess the situation.
There was a drain pipe up the wall which ran past the flag pole a good meter away. He could so do that he reckoned.
Taking one last cautious look around, Mizuki slung the shot gun over his shoulder and stretching grabbed ahold of the drain pipe firmly with both hands.
Placing an experimental foot on the wall he could feel the pipe creak, but guessed it would take his weight.
He lifted his second foot up more confidently this time and place that on the wall firmly. Then he began to shimmy his way up. Slowly at first, hand over hand, but as the prospect of food made itself clear in his mind, he picked up speed until it wasn't so much of a shimmy as a vertical marathon.
Reaching level with the pole he let go of the drain pipe with one hand, his posture almost monkey like. He began to sway, his knees bending further then relaxing, back and forth, picking up rythm.
Then he jumped across, pushing off from the wall powerfully. The landing was not as he had planned it.
Mizuki slammed his chest into the pole, grunting from the pain of it, momentarily winded. He then slid off its rounded surface without having gotten a firm handing.
As his body fell off the pole and was gripped by gravity, he suddenly snapped out of the momentary lull from being winded and windmilled his arms. Grabbing the pole desperately with one hand he clutched on. As his fall was suddenly halted, his shoulder jerked in its socket causing him to cry out in pain.
He windmilled his other arm and grabbed a hold, squirming violently, swinging his body he finally managed to wrap his legs around its length. He hung there, sloth like for a few moments getting his barings, his heart hammering in his ears.
"Kuuuuso kusokusokusokusokuso." He muttered to himself as he began to work his way along the length.
The flag pole sagged alarmingly from his weight, the pole curving slightly, the bags sliding down to be caught on the ball at the end of its length.
Mizuki tried grabbing for it, but found his hands refused to leave the pole.
He rolled his eyes at his own stupidity and then, screwing his eyes shut, began to bounce, causign the pole to rock violently. Two loud thuds as things hit the floor alerted Mizuki that the bags had been successfully rocked off the end and he began to climb back across the length of the pole.

At first Kalila was positive for a few seconds Mizuki was going to completely disagree and yell at them according to his facial expression. The silence was defening and it stung. She was just a few seconds away from crumbling and saying "Oh no. Just forget it. Nicholas get back up the firescape." But, luckily, he smiled. Kalila let a breath of air go she didn't even know she was holding. He agreed to it.

Kalila was about to respond to what Mizuki said when his stomach grumbled and silenced everything, letting its opinion be heard. All of them stared at Mizuki's stomach until he laughed and finally spoke.
"Of course... Be careful." Kalila said as he passed his things on to them and made his way to the flagpole.
Nicholas' eyes glittered for a second as at first he thought Mizuki was going to let him carry the shotgun, but then common sense kicked in as well as a pack being dumped in his arms. He sighed. Kalila held the dagger in her right hand poised, knowing if something did happen she could definately use it a lot better than the plank. The plank looked exceptionally deadly, but still she didn't think she could wield it very strongly.

Kalila and Nicholas watched carefully as Mizuki made his way to the flagpole. When the bird tore it's way up they both were suprised into a fighting stance. They let their strength in it go as they realized what happened. As Mizuki shot it out of the sky with the rock Kalila gasped with pleasantly surprised shock and smiled, while Nicholas mumbled "Sweet..." with a grin etched on his face.
As the oldest of them crawled his way along the wall Nicholas began to giggle at the antics, covering his mouth as not to be heard at all. Kalila smacked his arm after leaning the plank against her knee and grabbing it up again as she finished. All this without taking her eyes off Mizuki and the occasional glance around every direction to make sure they didn't get jumped. Nicholas glared at her for just a second before turning his attention back to the man as well.
Kalila and Nicholas watched in horror as Mizuki almost fell. But as he caught himself they both sighed in relief, but milliseconds later winced at the yell. It sounded so loud to their ears, even though in a normal situation it was hardily above "normal talking outdoors in the streets of NYC" level. Kalila's head snapped around to make sure nothing heard it. It wasn't that loud... I need to get the F*ck over myself... she thought with a roll of her eyes.
Nicholas started to laugh again and Kalila looked back up at Mizuki, right when the pole bounced twice before the backpacks hit the ground. Ha... That was quite creative... she thought with a smile. He made his way off the pole and Nicholas adressed her.
"How'd you get them on there in the first place?" He asked his eyebrows emphasizing the question.
"You see that rail on the stoop next to it?" she said pointing to it.
"Yeah"
"I got on that thing and threw them on the pole..."
"Easier getting it on then off, I suppose"
"Yup..."

Nicholas seemed to frown out of the blue again. He looked, from where he stood, into the ally-way in between two buildings: the one with the fire escape they hung out on for a little bit and the building to its left if you faced it. "Are you kidding me?" Nicholas grumbled out to no one in particular, but now looked at his sister. "I could have sworn I felt something else was here a while back, but then the feeling went away. But now, I'm sure there is something in that ally-way man, no joke." He said quickly putting his hands up in a defensive position, as if not to offend someone.
"Are you sure?" Kalila asked, but without waiting for a response she walked forward "Here, I'll go check..." she said over her shoulder.
"But-"
"Sshhhh!" Kalila threw at him and looked down the ally. It was long and was the space between two pairs of parallel buildings. All the way at the other end was a dog, a big one. There was a cat too, with it's fur up in a hissing anger. It was black and quite fat. That's not what bothered her. The dog did. It was probably a Great Dane according to what could be seen: the body, its head was in a trash can. Kalila would have relaxed, but saw that there were patches of fur missing from the animal, as well as some smeared blood. It also had an unhealthy gray tint. Kalila gulped, but not audibly and quickly hid behind the face of the building, out of the view from the animals.
"What?" Nicholas asked in a whisper.
Kalila quietly padded towards Nicholas and whispered very quietly. "There's a dog."
"So? You love dogs..."
"Not this one." Kalila mumbled. "I think it's infected. There's also a cat... It might be too. But I'm not so worried about that one... It's really fat." she said squeezing the dagger so hard the designs on the handle probably left an imprint of her skin. "They're way at the other end of the ally. They probably just walked in there. It wouldn't suprise me if they are infected. That's probably why they haven't smelled us yet or it went for the closest food."
"Can animals get infected?"
"You had a longer chance to watch the news! What it say?"
"They didn't say anything about animals."
"Well, on Resident Evil they can become zombies..."
"These aren't nessessarily zombies!" Nicholas frowned, refering to all the infected. Putting Mizuki's pack on to make escape better. "They freakin' became hell hounds..." He mumbled to himself.
"I'm telling Mizuki." Kalila said quickly before trying to run off, but was caught by the arm as Nicholas glared at her.
"Are you crazy?! He's like right there. He'll be here in a few seconds!" He whispered in an alarmed tone, looking at Mizuki from their short distance away. "He has a shot gun, he'll be fine. We should get on the fire escape."
"Nope, no can do." Kalila glared back yanking her arm from Nicholas's grip. "They're animals, freakin' nimble." She said making her way back to the brick wall of the building, leaning against it. "What if he walks in front of the ally and they happen to look up? You, start walking to Nina's house."
"No"
"The fire escapes not gonna work with that cat, buddy. Fat or not Cat's can jump dude."
"So?"
"Then stay here until me and Mizuki get back."
"Alright..."
"You start bookin' it to Nina's if any of those freaks comes out, you hear me?" Kalila said dead serious.
"Yeah..."
"Stay ready to fight though." As she said this, Nicholas held his bokken with more strength. "I would give you Mizuki's board... Can you handle it?" she asked refering to the bloody plank.
"I think so..." Nicholas said.
"I don't want him to get mad."
"Blame it on me."
"...Okay" Kalila walked to him quickly and passed off the weapon. Nicholas held it and put the bokken on his waist like before. Kalila went back up against the wall.

She peeked into the ally and saw both creatures were occupied. Quickly she whipped to the other wall of the building before she could be spotted. She peeked back in. Th dog continued to munch on something in the trash can and the cat had jumped down to a trash can for its self. Kalila made a mad dash for Mizuki and almost ran into him. But paused just a few seconds before she did.
"There's a zombie dog and cat in the ally way right before the fire escape. The dog's huge and the cat can jump. I left Nicholas there, I'll explain later." she said quickly trying to pass up that detail. "... I was gonna meet up with him as soon as I got you and run to Nina's. Is that ok? What do you think? What's your plan?" Kalila asked quickly her words almost mashing together. She took up squeezing the handle of the dagger again and standing on her front heel and the balls of her feet, ready to run if need be. For some reason, down over here, she felt a little more in the open for attack.

He looks at the book. "Seems to me you put way more thought into what to do then I ever would. I just did it when zombie movies got boring and I had some friends over. Or to pass the time at work. No one ever comes into the store in winter." He rolls his eyes. It was always boring, and you weren't allowed to bring anything to do either. "Well I think we should wait abit before leaving then. Your friends might come by at any time so we should wait for them. Also we might see my friends but thats extreamly doubtful. Odds are pretty good they were bussed out as soon as possible. Maybe they'll even get across the order with a little luck." He looks out the window for a bit thinking to himself. Even if he couldn't get home he hoped that some of them might make it back. He knew that the border was closed. But Canada and the US had a several thousand kilometre long border. They couldn't guard it all. But then he started to think that it was a good thing that everything was quarantined. Anyone could be a carrier and he really hoped that everyone he knew would be safe from it. He sighed, watching the movies was so much easier then being involved in it. He knew that his family would be worrying. he smiled slightly. He changed what he had thought, to that almost all his family would be worrying. His brother would probably not care that much.

"Ha ha... Yeah..." Nina said with a slight blush on her face, but acting like it wasn't there. "I let the movies and video games effect me a little more than normal people." She just barely frowned when she spoke.

"Yeah... I'm starting to wonder if they survived..." Nina said with the frown deepening. "Ha! But, of course they did... So I'm just going to look on the bright side." Her eyes widened as she examined Garath more thoroughly by leaning forward. "You're from Canada then? Hmm... Garath didn't sound Canadian to me. I thought you might have been of German descent or something." She said sitting up straight again. "So... Were you here on vacation or what?" Nina asked getting up from sitting and walking to her closet. She pulled out a dry erase board and marker. She wrote at the top "Supplies Needed" and leaned it against the wall. For now the list was empty, thankfully. She pretty much assumed it was self-explanitory, thus didn't say anything about it.

Some vacation... Wow... For whatever reason he's in the states he has some bad luck. she thought with a mental sigh. "You've got bad luck kid." She said even though she knew she was younger. It was a habit of hers and she said it to lighten up the mood. "My dad's left for a business trip to Seattle. Luckliy he's safe, the virus hasn't spread that far West yet. But, unluckily for me... I'm all alone..." she said with a sarcastic smile.

Mizuki had shimmied back along the pole and from there dropped so he was hanging from both hands. Doing a daring pendulum swing he'd thrown himself off and grabbed ahold of the drain pipe.
The sudden impact of his body thumping into it caused it to creak alarmingly, even more so as a large crack three times the size of him split down the side of the plastic piping.
Mizuki had never descended anything so ******** fast in all his days.
He jumped off the last few foot, landing gracefully, knees bent.
When he straightened up and turned round however, he had to thrust his hands out to catch Kalila by the shoulders to avoid full body impact.
"Woah!" He exclaimed slightly.
That was when she burst into a flood of explaination.
Mizuki listened intently, nodding his head in time with her words, taking it all in.
Despite all his wanting to be mature and more like an adult, he couldn't help but give an immature retort.
A smug smile played across his lips.
"Betcha think my plan for rearmerment is looking feckin' sweet now."
Still, he recovered poise and his expression once more became one of complete seriousness.
"Animals can be infected. I've seen it before. True, it was only the one cat but it shied away from attacking me. I don't know if the same would go for a big a** feck off great dane though."
He stopped to ponder the idea. Yeah. He'd played all the video games.
"If they are anything like the hell hounds of resident evil . . ."

Mizuki cast his gaze over to where Nicholas stood, weighed down by a pack with only his bloodied plank to weild.
His expression fell.
He grabbed Kalila's hand and thrust her index finger into her mouth before she even had time to protest.
Holding the girls hand up above her head he met her eyes seriously.
"You realise you've just left your kid brother stood, on his lonesome, downwind of those things."
The fact that his eyes had gone wide with horror, the dark circles beneath them only adding an eerie depth to them, was enough to indicate his concern.
He slipped his shotgun to his front and grabbed hold of the trigger.
He then began to walk slowly towards Nicholas, making sure that Kalila was close behind in toe.
"I guess my plan would be to shoot them." He hissed out of the corner of his mouth, hopefully loud enough for her to hear.
"But the resounding shots could tip off surrounding Crazies to our location." And, because he couldn't resist bringing it up again: "But that would be a precious waste of 2 bullets. Had we gone through with my plan and gone t the gun store we would have found ammunition and, though they are techincally illegal, I happen to know they have a supply of handgun silencers round back. With those w'd have not only easier to handle fire arms - but quieter, more discreet ones as well." He rolled his eyes.

Mizuki held out his palm behind him suddenly to stop Kalila in her tracks. His hand, unitentionally, caught her firmly on the right breast.
He felt a slight catch in his chest at this due to embarrassment but saw this as no time to dwell on it.
Instead, indicating for her to stay put, he hurried over across to Nicholas.
There was a sharp growl from the ally way and Mizuki turned round to see the Great Dane in the ally mouth, hackles raised, teeth bared.
One of its eyes way missing and Mizuki could smell the rancid flesh on its breath even from here.
Reaching out slowly, Mizuki wond his hand against the plank of wood. Peeling it from Nicholas's grip he took it up in both hands.
He took a few steps forwards, away from Nicholas, and the dog watched him like hawk.
Then, without warning, it snarled, spraying foamy saliva everywhere. It half barked, half growled and flew at Mizuki, teeth bared.

Mizuki panicked. He didn't have time to think, instead the Rage took over.
He swung the board full pelt at the dog as it pounced, leapping towards him.
The board connected with a significant 'THWACK' into the side of the dogs head as it's body collided with Mizuki.
Both man and beast howled in pain as the both were sent tumbling to the floor.
The dog writhed, still somehow alive. Itwas on top of Mizuki now, its teeth gnashing, inches from his jugular - the only thing stopping it was the board - whiose nails were now imbedded in its skull. Mizuki worked the plank like a lever, pushing the dogs head back with great effort. He then rolled, using the momentum to shift the weight on top of him, pinning the dog beneath him.
He wrenched the board free and brought it down again, and again, and again, turning his head to the side, blood and filth splattering up his shirt.
He was vaguely aware of the cat yowling and hissing from the depths of the ally.
He ignored it.
On the seventh swing, the dog had been dead four hits ago. Mizuki stood finally and staggered off the mashed corpse. The sides of his top was stained red and sodden with his own blood.
He cast a slightly frantic look at Kalila and advanced on her, snatching the bag he had rescued from her clutches.
Plunking himself on the floor he rummaged through it for food.
"So - hungry!"

As Mizuki responded to Kalila's summary of the situation at hand her jaw dropped with a mixture of emotions. Disbelief, anger, logic, and other things she couldn't decipher at the moment. What!? At a time like this? We would have been attacked by the cat while he was off getting "amor" Kalila thought with a mental huff. But now is not the time to get upset at such meager things. she rationalized with herself, closing her jaw. Apparently Mizuki had gotten over it to for he looked quiet serious as he continued.
"See! That's what I was telling my brother! We're doomed if they're like hell hounds!" Kalila blurted out, regripping the dagger.

Mizuki looked down at where Nicholas was, Kalila assumed since she had her back to that direction. Suddenly, without any warning of movement at all, Mizuki managed to shove Kalila's index finger in her mouth and hold it over her head. It was safe to say, as she frowned trying to figure out why on Earth the oldest in their group would do that, Kalila was completely dumbfounded until she felt the wind against her finger. Her pupils shrunk for a fraction of a second as Mizuki spoke. Her eyes re-adjust to the light quickly as she caught herself from dropping into a torrent of sisterly love that would have caused her to do very stupid things. Deciding she couldn't be trusted to do anything sane at the moment, Kalila decided not to respond with words and just follow the older one until her emotions quit getting in the way.

She walked behind Mizuki at the slow pace he created. Mizuki spoke to her in a quiet hiss which she concentrated hard on to hear. He spoke of plans for the situation at first but then brought up his plan before... again. Kalila's free hand came up to smack her forhead in annoyance. Some of that information was useful Kalila managed to register through her anger.
"Oh! Excuse me for wanting a base of operations and an immediate place of refuge!" Kalila whisper-yelled and clenched her mouth shut afterwards, not wanting to make herself sound stupid from not being able to think straight. She was stubborn so she wasn't going to back down from her position, but this was doing a toll on her already troubled self-esteem. Part of her mind screamed at her Look what you did! This is all your fault dumb@$$. He's older! Why didn't you go with his plan?! Oh, and don't forget, you almost left your little brother in the cluches of an almost-hellhound... her mind relaxed for a little bit. You just pray Nicho stays safe... her mind finally said.

Suddenly Mizuki came to a stop putting his arm out to stop Kalila. And as fortune had it, Kalila and Mizuki happen to have the right height difference and be in the right position for Mizuki to get a handful of Kalila's right breast. Her left eye and entire body twitched from the sudden touch and she pushed his arm off of her with a quick grabbing and let going of his wrist. She knew he didn't do it on purpose, but she had a very automatic response to anyone touching her chest or rear area. She once slapped a doctor across the face for moving her breast a little to get the stethoscope where he needed it.
Luckily for Kalila, Mizuki continued on like nothing ever happened and just told her to stay, even though her face was in a full blown blush. This, to her, gave indication for them being able to ignore it completely, like it never even happened, in the future. Because if they did talk about it, Kalila's head would probably explode from a blush.

Nicholas had been full on ready to fight when the oldest in the group grabbed the plank from him. Mizuki faced the dog and the fight insued. Nicholas ran over to Kalila as the Great Dane (confirmed, by his rotting face) and Mizuki fell over. Kalila had gasped, ready to jump in and help peel the dog from Mizuki's body if the situation got any worse. He cleaved the infected animal off himself enough to be the on top and busted it across the face, again, and again, and again... Nicholas clinged wrist with a killer grip.
The cat gave one noise to its presence and chose to leap with its claws extened toward the siblings. But the cat was fat and clumsy. With one, almost graceful, diagnol slash from the dagger Kalila wielded the cat smacked into the ground with a wet sound. It sounded almost like a water ballon popping. The blood spread over the ground quickly. Nicholas let out a relieved sigh.
"Good job..." He said with a gulp.
"Thanks." Kalila responded. Her mind was elsewhere though. God... That cat wasn't even an issue. We could have killed it on the fire escape if it did come up. Sh*t... That wouls mean if I just listen to Mizuki... She started to think, but immediately stopped. No! The right course of action is still to go to Nina's... What if He's hurt? She definately has aid. she finished thinking.

Kalila and Nicholas looked to Mizuki to see him hit the corpse of the infected dog a couple of times before he stopped.
"Geez... He gets scary when he fights." Nicholas said as the siblings just watched him, as he finally stopped.
He looked up toward Kalila with an expression that scared her and she flinched as the bag was snatched from her grip. He dug through the food with desperation. Kalila bit her lower lip with anxiousness.
"Um..." She said rather loudly to get the man's attention. "I-if you're that hungry, at the very bottom there should be some beef jerky..." She said kicking the other bag they brought with them in Nicholas's direction, who placed it neatly by his shin. Kalila looked at all the items that Mizuki had pushed out of the bag to get to the food. Two sets of her clothes as well as some undergarments laid on the pavement. She picked them up quickly, not disturbing Mizuki, and stuffed them into the bag at Nicholas's shin. The young man looked pretty feral right now. She didn't want to anger Mizuki in anyway. She stood back up next to her brother and looked at him.
Nicholas's expression was set to confusion with a very slight presence of fear. "Dude... You all right?" He asked watching him intently. He is scary when he fights... and afterwards too... Nicholas thought with a quick widening of his eyes. He got no response and turned to Kalila "What's the plan?"
"We haven't decided..." Kalila said looking from her brothers face to Mizuki's and back again. I don't wanna decide wrong again... er- I wasn't wrong.... she thought, still confused. "How... How about we just wait for him to calm down..." she inserted motioning to Mizuki with tilt of her head in his direction.
"Sounds good to me..." He said with a smile and sat down next to the bag, leaning on it with his arm on it. Mizuki's bag was still on his back. He stayed wary of the blood that was two meters from him.
Kalila looked around and kept on guard, not liking how she was the only one at the moment. She looked at the corpses of the infected animals and sighed. This was getting crazy.

((I just use Garath as my name when I role play. It's a name of my favorite charcter. So it wouldn't sound like it's from anywhere.))

Garath turned away from the window pushing away his slightly depressing thoughts. This was no time to worry about what might be and what might happen. "Well I was born in Canada. My parents are Canadian but one was originally British. But yeah, I am Canadian." He says that last part like from the old beer comercial. He smiled. Even though Molsons had been bought out a while ago people still remembered that line from their commercial. "Actually I'm not down here on a vacation, I'm here on a band trip. The trip was suposed to end a couple weeks ago, but with the out break starting the border was closed. So we were stuck here." He walks over to the board labled supplies needed and writes flares, fuel, and protective gear.

He turns and faces her. "I would disagree about that. A I'm still alive despite being in a foreign country with zombies. B I now am in a safe area. C I could have been in the hotel when the outbreak occured making it impossible to flee. And D I'm now trapped with a really cute girl." He smiles at saying the last to make it seem more joking.
