Since my lord and I are still working on getting our camp materials together, we are eternally having to borrow important pieces of gear (such as a tent). For Coronet a couple of weeks ago, I forgot to buy flashlights (but I somehow remembered to buy a battery-powered air pump for our huge friggin' mattress). We were late leaving home as well so we didn't get to the site until it was after dark.
Setting up someone else's tent in the dark is a real pain...

littlegreengirl hear hear! i once had to do that in the rain to boot... fortunately i had the friend who lent me the tent there to help... That's always good. I did have a load of fun trying to put up my mother's pop-up pavilion during the five minutes of windy rain we had at May Crown this year. If we'd only known the rain was going to stop so quickly... I love An Tirian weather.

Remembered everything. Feast gear, garb, tent, food, belt, armor, money (both mundane & medieval)....everything except a sleeping bag. Froze my a** off wrapped in our cloaks. My ex was a bedding hog. gonk I now make lists that I give the people I'm going with to give to me the day we leave to check against my own list.
A friend of mine forgot her car at an event.......how she did that one I have no clue xd She doesn't either, and the really funny thing about it all is the car was in New Jersey. She lives on Long Island, NY! She left her house to go to work the next moring and said "WTF?? Where's my car?" Later that day the Autocrat called her. "Sydney are you missing something?"

I don't have feast-gear. I have good wandering-a-war-begging gear, but nothing suitable for a feast. I was looking to borrow feast-gear for the ball yesterday, but was told "everything will be provided" and "Don't worry!" Dinner would be light, they said, so it wouldn't be an issue.
Dinner was light.
A light SOUP.

We were late leaving home as well so we didn't get to the site until it was after dark. Setting up someone else's tent in the dark is a real pain... Someone helped put up my tent in the dark once. Most of my group had a-frames, but I didn't. Our friends said they'd put up the tents, so two of us went out to get something to eat. We went to a grocery store, picked up something, and drove back to camp. When we got there everyone was asleep, the fire extinguished, and all the tents set up. Except mine, which was sitting nicely in its box on the spot it was supposed to be set up. Now, my friend suffers night blindness, and I'd never used this tent before. I haven't yet stopped being nice to the lady who saved my a** that 14 degree night, although she doesn't remember it at all!

At Estrella this year I forgot my pillow and some new garb. The ladies camped nearby forgot a bunch of hair stuff, and sent me to the store to help them out. Poor girls.
