SilentBlackTiger While I haven't tested this out yet, my friend suggested to me that tapping "Z" will make you drop from the edge, rather than accidentally fastfalling. If this works, I'll probably start that way. But finger speed is something I'm working on as well. Mostly getting my thumb from jump to cstick quickly (I do all of my aerials with the C-stick). Best for, cause then I can fastfall without accidentally doing something, or do a double jump when I wanna do a Uair. I can ledge hop uair with Dorf no problem using down, x, and the C-stick.

I'll give that a try. Ganondorf gives me problems, but I can ledge hop with Doc now. Ledgehop->Wavedash->grab is fun. ^_^

Sorry bu I don't know what a wavedash or a shine is/are. But I get by without them anyway. I beat level 9's just as easily as I do level 1's. I can even beat an entire team of level 9's.
Pikachu: Quick Attack, Thunder. The 2 moves I use the most. Suicidewser the most. means nothing to me as long as I have quick attack. Thunder is best on stages like venom when your enemies are on the top area and you're on the bottom and you make them all go boom. Also a fast person. Just might lose control near edges though if you run too close (suicide is not a problem).
DK: Ground Pounding, Spinny thingy. I like having control over an area rather than just one direction. The only bad thing is if you get hit while doing these moves. And he's slow.
Link/ Young Link: Arrows, Bomb, Spinny Thingy. Spinning on the ground is fun. I also like long range. Bombs make things go boom. But they still aren't as good as bob-oms. Also like fighting yin and yang link battles (black clothing vs. white clothing)
Bowser: Fire Breath, Spinny Thing, Claw. I like clawing enemies a lot. Spinning in his shell is a good way to survive. Breathing fire is fun until it weakens. Then you have to wait a bit.

Mario, Ice Climbers, Pikachu, DK, Link...many of the starter characters are a combination of characters that are very easy to use, and people that are difficult to be good with, but kick BUTT on any stage...

Anyone who jumps using up on the control stick is a smash bros. noob...just saying... I use 'Y', but 'X' works just as fine.
