Firinafel HrithikBond Dread Lycan Rose...When Rose dies in Martin the Warrior. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! T-T I have to agree with you on that part. That part made me cry also.
I know what he saddest thing ever is in Redwall; the treatment of shrews. I mean, they are the backup allies. They never get to wield Martin's sword (well, no; Dipper gets it for a good 2 pages of fight scene), and they usually get the casualties. Yet they are always willing to help Redwall. Man, it makes me wanna write a really bad fanfic...How's about when Log-a-Log dies in Mattimeo?

The only two that made me cry were Rose of Noonvale's death and Rockjaw Grang's death, but Deyna's (Taggerung's) dad's death was sad, too. Shogg the Otter, too. And, um, Rab Streambattle's hideous injuries and the fact that he doesn't remember his own wife. That's sad. crying
All so sad...
Anyways, my friend and I found a way for Rose to live:
She doesn't really die when Badrang chucks her, just gets knocked out. They take her back to Noonvale to be buried, but Martin doesn't go because he's so sad. When she wakes up, Martin is nowhere to be found and they can't contact him in any way. She leaves Noonvale, wanders for a year or two, and comes across Redwall. Everyone's happy!

Jen the Quiet Well I literally cried when Methuselah died in Redwall, so I'd have to go with that. =) yeah, i agree. well... i havent read much so thats what i found the saddest. or when Basil found the Friar dead. or when Rollo's (Rollo, right?) mum was killed by Slagar (i dont care what people think, DIE SLAGAR, DIE! YAY, hes DEAD!). Or Cynthia's mum! I purposely made this post a bunch of deaths to remiind peoples of beasties deaths and make them cry when they remembered. heeheehee!

DANG MALKARISS!!! he was not a random shrew... and i hate when anybody dies (Firinafel)! even a random shrew! well, except the bad guys. i cheer when they die.

THE WORST PART EVER was definatly when Rose died. I couldnt believe it! I actually cried and i dont usualy cry! crying crying crying crying

I say pretty much all of Luke's part in the Legend of Luke.
When Cregga died, I love her.
Mariel's memory of her imprisonment.
Heck there's alot of sad things in the series.
Honestly the saddest thing of them all will be the last book.

What makes a redwall book a true redwall book is when a main character that we have for about 2/3 of the story dies. Oh, and i remember in (i think) rakkety tam, some shrews got run over by a log and they didnt even make graves or anyting.

So many sad moments its hard to say lol I guess the three saddest for me is Rose, Scarlath, and Bragoon and Saro's death... so sad!
