I don't drink nearly as much as I once did, but when I do I like to have a good scotch. They just go down so smoothly. My personal favorite is called Famous Grouse. It is a cheaper brand, but I like the taste of it.

i'm in the mood for a Bloody Mary! I have been for awhile, too! My only problem is I got used to them in New Orleans, and I can't find any place that makes them so well out here! crying

Drinking... Well... I was underaged, still in HS, and I had a group of older friends who I went out with, and I was constantly drinking. I'd have anything alcoholic, as I wanted to feel "older" and be accepted as one of the group. I ended up drinking more than they did (probably being much older they knew when to stop, I didn't). Never got drunk. Never had a hangover. I felt cool. And that could've ruined my life... One night (I had changed group of friends by then) I drank the "green fairy"... without adding water or caramelled sugar or anything. It almost killed my poor stomach, I decided I was old enough to stop and become a teetotaller. Time has passed but if I drink anything alcoholic, be it only a beer, I'm bound to have my stomach go on vacation for a whole week, so I just quit. It wasn't that easy, as I developed a taste for gin. I know I was getting into trouble. Good thing I found my way out of that. And my not-very-suspecting parents don't even know. Which is the other good thing.

Well, I wasn't a total lush, but I did try drinking underage both out of curiosity and out of wanting to look a little edgier or cooler. I would pour, like, a half-shot of 151 in a big cup of root beer and act stupid. Now that I can drink anything I like, I'm kind of disappointed that I am not as uninhibited a drunk as I thought I was.

I had a "caramel apple" martini last night. THe bartender swirled a thin ribbon of caramel sauce in the glass, then he shot in some Ketel One, some apple pucker, and -- get this -- a hit of Frangelico. It was delish!

Right now I'm drinking kamikazes. 1/3 lime juice, 1/3 triple sec, 1/3 vodka. Does the job, and tastes pretty good as well.

I just remembered a time I was at our yearly company dinner, and I somehow got drunk before I finished my first lemon drop martini. I hadn't eaten anything all day, and I had worked twelve straight hours on my feet, outside. sweatdrop
My boss just looked at me, pulled the drink away and said "okay, no more for you!"

My favorite drinking session was at this Korean bar- my roommate and I ordered strawberry flavored soju and had some really really spicy Korean barbeque with it. heart

Ooh, my favorite "drinking session" was this past January in Buffalo, New York. I was with some friends who are regulars at this joint called Laughlin's, and they offered to get us sauced right before our early flight home -- easy to do when last call's at 4 a.m.
The bartender there was a total pro, and he made the best buttery nipples and mojitos I've EVER had. He even invented a drink that tastes innocuous as apple juice, but is a very clever mix of six or seven different liquors. He calls it a WTF. The six of us split a shaker (two shots each).
When I was out of ideas on what to order (since apparently in New York, the Adios Motherf--ker is not chic) I asked the bartender what he recommended and he asked me what my favorite color was. I said red, and in two shakes he got me what he called a Tootsie Pop martini -- Three Olives chocolate vodka and grenadine were the only ingredients I recognized, but I'm sure he shook some magic over it that I didn't see. That was AMAZING, and dangerously easy to drink, too.
Six drinks later, I was making googly eyes at the flight attendants!

i like to go out and drink socially. i usually only have one or two, but on rare occasions i tend to go heavy. alabama slammers and long island iced teas are a couple of my favorite mixed drinks. favorite beers are guinness, killian's irish red, and pennsylvania's own yuengling. occasionally i'll enjoy a couple of shots of jameson irish whiskey. but usually i just have one jack and coke during karaoke.

Doressa What is a buttery n****e? I think we must just have different names for things over here... It's pretty much a slippery n****e, if that's what you were thinking. It's a layered shot with butterscotch schnapps on the bottom and Bailey's floating on top. As far as I know, though, slipperies are made with sambuca instead of butterscotch. And for anyone who's curious, sometimes they put a drop of grenadine in the middle of the Bailey's layer, so it spreads and it kinda looks like a n****e.
