What is it about drummers? One of them, hits on all the girls as a joke/game or something (even though he has a girl friend), one of them thinks he's awesome, one of them is a friend of mine (-hug-), one of them bugs the sh*t outta me when he wants to, one of them is my flutist friend's neighbor, and the other one never talks. Ever.
and, they're all pretty nice people, when it comes down to it.
Drummers confuse me -was one-

All of my pit is friendly except for like two people, and basically the whole snare line is a lot of cocky b*****d/bastardettes.
I don't know why, but they're always like...out to get me...o.O
It's kinda...awkward. But yeah, cocky is keyword.

i grduated from ben davis in '03. 90% of the animals(percusion section in marching band) where cockier then hell. i know i was. one of the best i where./

I'm in drumline XD
I have to say that sadly... 14/15 people are cocky D: (that's also including the pit)
Though, our drumline is pretty nice though.

GAH!
Almost every guy in our drumline is a cocky s.o.b
(minus my bf....)
yeah im in guard and my bf is in dl
and the dl captain gives him sh*t for going out with someone in guard
he says
"you dont date people in guard, you only hook up with them"
stressed stressed stressed
stupid people in drumline.......

Our drumline needs an additude re-adjustment in general. Not everyone, because they are a few like myself, very quiet, and nearly opposite personality, but many are way egotistical indeed.

There's quite a few of them. About half of them are that way. The other half are just a bunch of jokers.

Chansu-kun I go to a High School in California. The majority of the drumline at my school consists of very cocky percussionists who think they're the best, even if they're horrible. Being in the pit, it gets kinda old, because most of us in the pit are like "Bah, whatever" and we sound really good. I think the DL's attitudes only bring them down. Discuss: - Are members of your DL like this? - Are you in the DL/Pit? - Anything else. Hey I am in the pitt! and.... it does get old ,but you are right we do sound very good no matter what! we are just good!

Well, idk if I would consider myself cocky. Me and the other sophomore snare think that we both should stay on snare cuz we make a good team, but we both know that one of us will prolly have to go on quads. NOT IT!!!!!!
But there is a girl that is really cocky. She thinks that she is so good at the bass drum, but she's always messing up, and not quietly. She plays so loud that she can't hear when the teacher cuts us off. She's good at the mallets though.

I'd have to say yes, all of us are because...well, we are the best in our region and second best in state. Of course we're damn cocky!

Ok, I'm a female tenor player in the drumline, and we really are all cocky. The thing is, we can afford to be, since we win championships every year, and during the field band season we went undefeated. Really, here's the order of cockiness from least to greatest:
Snares: All but one of them are seniors, so what do you expect?
Tenors: We rule, so we can be as cocky as we want.
Cymbals: The badest players somehow manage to be cockier than others
Basses: Yeah, they're cocky, but they keep their cockiness to a minimum
So, there you go.

ooh yeah, our drum line can be very very cocky.
In fact there's a big rivalry between the drum line and color guard. It's actually quite funny. Anyway, so we always hope the we win auxiliary and that the drumlin doesn't win best percussion...and usually if only one of use gets the caption there's usually toilet papering, vandalizing trophies and such.
But don’t think we “hate” each other. We still get along really well with the drumlin, it’s just when it comes to competitions . .we’re just . . .competitive. =P
