i must say, i love this idea. as far as nursing home-esque housing stuff, think old people's house. what does that entail? ugly wallpaper, mismatched carpeting, and ugly furniture. i'd be all about helping with this idea. message me if you'd like my help in making this thought a reality.

This sounds like a wonderful idea to me; if you need any housing items I have plenty extra and some look "nursing home-esque" to me. 3nodding

I've got tons of extra furniture that I'll never use, as well as wallpapers and floor tiles. I'd be willing to donate whatever you'd want for a nursing home.
Doesn't Tektek have a housing generator? Doressa, if you're willing to donate your house to this cause, you could come up with something with that generator, then post a list of items you'd like and then ask for donations.

I've just had a bit of a play around with my house, and bought a couple of new pieces of furniture to put in it that might fit the theme...I would love some feedback though! Can anyone tell this ridiculously inept person how to post a link to her house?
Also, I'm sure I upgraded my house, but it seems pretty small...

Okay, for anyone who wants to have a look at what I've done so far: www.gaiaonline.com/homes?user=2594811I'd love some feedback...I really liked the idea of lots of ugly beds in the one room, but the upgraded house is still pretty small which is pretty irksome!!

Nope, that's the upgraded house... There isn't much more room on the screen for them to get any bigger.
I like it! It looks very institutionalized. It should have some art on the walls, though. Every nursing home I've ever been in had art that looked like it was stolen from some hotel. I'd be willing to donate some. I've also got a few tables, lamps, and a tea pot, if you want them.
