Seeress Tons of people consider frogs and turtles to be "throwaway" pets, something you give to children and take half-assed care of. A turtle is one pet i'd never want, they have a nasty bite on them sweatdrop As for that chinchilla it looks like a cross between a rabbit and a rat. Rabbit's are pests, rats give me the creeps, so if i saw a chinchilla in real life i'd A: Want to kill it. B: Scream. Give me a regular everyday pet like a cat or dog anyday.

I love animals and wish I had the money to buy a chinchilla. They're just too cute ^_^ I currently have 5 cats and I live with another 2 cats, a dog, and a bird that all belong to my step-dad. Up until Nov. 2nd I had 6 cats... I miss my Buddy.... I also used to have 2 rabbits (at two different times) and 6 hamsters. Heh, hamsters multiply quickly sweatdrop I started out with two baby hamsters, then they had babies..... three times gonk . I kept the babies with missing limbs and traded the rest to the pet shop for food and bedding. Eventually, I figured out how to determine their sex and separated them.
Recently, I've been thinking about getting another bunny. Everytime I see one at the pet shop I just want to snuggle it whee

A friend of mine is breeding her degus. Quite an endeavour.
I'm still a fan of the chinchillas, though. razz

I didn't know anythign about Chinchillas before today. When I found the thread, I figured I would look them up on Wikipedia, and because of that, my fiancee and I have decided that we are going to get one.
my roomates had sugar gliders before, and they were adorable, but they were less than fist-sized, and we had to keep teh apartment at Stifling temperatures in order to keep them alive gonk
