We have 3 tenors, 4 snares, and 5 bass drums. In the pit, we have...
~is counting and hoping she can remember everyone~
7 people in the pit.
So, that's 19 people total. - - -

For our show, we moved most of our drummers to pit, but we had a drumline feature during our closer.
4 Snares, all seniors 2 quads, me (sophomore) and a senior 5 basses, 1 cymbal

Our line is 4 basses, 2 snares, 1 tenor. this is what we have every year, because our band director got tired of a mouthy drumline (and that was when it was 5 basses, 3 snares, 2 tenors) so he cut it to that. And they're even more mouthy, but much cleaner. I wish I were on drumline though. I'd love to play bass, but i know it's not easy.

Outrageous Potato! Oh gosh :/ I remember in sixth grade there was a HUGE line of kids banging around on their snares and being all, "I'mma be a professional guy in a band lol" ... they all seemed to drop out the next year. It amused me. Oh well, in 6th grade you only have a choice between Band, Choir, and Young Living... Last year they merged the 7th and 8th grade classes. There were three percussionists instead of twelve. It was nice to have a change between not being able to hear yourself and actually hearing the music. Just that many guys (there were NO girls) on drums, no matter how softly they play, block everything else out. >< There are lots of people in my drumline i am a bass drummer.
