Konnichiwa, minna-san! Atashi no namae Yuki desu. Atashi wa juu-shuichi-sai. [Hello, everyone! My name is Yuki. I am 17-years-old.] (Feel free to correct me, if I made any errors. xD)

I've slowly, but surely been teaching myself Japanese for a few years now (on and off). I know a few phrases and many random words (most learned from anime and songs). I've memorized some Hiragana and I know only a few Kanji... I'm not very familiar with Katakana either, I plan on learning that after I memorize Hiragana. I can speak Japanese pretty well (the little that I know), but writing it is a is a different story. xD;

It's nice to meet all of you! ^_^

O.o Well I've been studying Japanese on my own.. :S So I'm not so experienced with actually speaking it. But I've got basic grammar and everything and some vocab. I know how to write Hiragana. Anyway, I'm a sophmore in highschool. ^^ I move around a lot unfortunately.. Just moved a few weeks ago. Doo mo arigato gozaimasu!

Konnichi wa! My name is Luwwi (or Luwina), 17 years old. I've just started to study japanese on my own, so I'm super newbie. I only know some words and phrases + few letters of hiragana. Japanese language, culture and history is really interesting, I think. I'm also crazy after anime and manga (favourites include Naruto, Inuyasha, Angels sanctuary, Gravitation and so on).

my high school gets a lot of japanese students each year. a few for the whole year, and more that come for a few weeks. Every other year, a few of our classmates go over to Japan for a few weeks.

We have a friendshiptown in Hokkaido, every other year a group of us goes there and every year a group of Japanese students come here. It's really fun to be a hostfamily for them and it was really nice to stay in Japan. 3nodding I wish I could go there again...

Konichi wa my name is Greg and I have been attempting to learn Japanese for a while. My reasons are that Japan is, technologicaly speaking, the greatest nation on Earth. And its a the Mecca of gaming/anime, both of which are two of my favorite things. And what gamer doesnt want to live/visit there? I mean they have E3! But, I recently actually bought a book on learning, that supposedly does its job in 6 or so weeks. Hopefully it doesnt lie or heads will roll!

Welcome.

I think I got the same book for my birthday. It was followed by some CDs that I could use to learn how to pronounce it. I belive it's made from the series of ''Living Language''. I haven't been able to use it yet though, because of all my school work, so I don't know how good it is.

i must correct you, e3 is NOT in Japan. it is in the US, in california, i believe. Anyway, though i'm not quite certain where it is located in the US, i know that it is in the US.

Does Japan have gaming conventions that are open to the public?
