I cry because I am lonely. Or hurt. Or if I have something in my eye.
Sometimes I get random bouts of sadness, and even seeing the word 'hug' on my monitor makes me burt into tears.
People do cry for different reasons. Age makes a difference, too. When you're young, you cry easily and more often. But as you grow, you cry not over injury but perhaps heartache. Loss. More mature things, not a paper cut.
Ehh. My brain is on low right now and it won't stop screaming.

Crying, as defined by Webster:
Cry v: to shead tears; to call out loudly; to utter a characteristic call or sound; to proclaim publicly. cry n.
Crying is normally thought to be the most passionate way to mourn, to let yourself fall into your emotions to the point of utter failure. Everyone has cried at one point in their life. Wether it was to cry for the loss of a friend, or for the loss of an innocent life that you didn't know. Crying is as much human as hate, anger, pity, suffering.
I believe I have cried a few times in my life, but as to why are always different reasons. Most often, I cry for loss of life. Many a friend has been lost to senseless violence, stupidity, and careless actions.
I might be missing the point, but I think that everyone needs to cry. It shouldn't be thought as shameful for men, or a weak trait for women. Crying is crying, mourning for loss, mourning for a change. None should be shunned for it, ever.

I think humans generally cry for the same reasons: grief, anger, etc. But some do it more than others. I also think it shouldn't be a shameful act. Everyone does it, what's the big deal?

Crying is a way of releasing emotion that is too great for the mind to handle at one time. But sometimes you may cry for no apperant reason which this is usually used as an excuse by those who think crying is for the weak. But if you hold in the stress that can easily be released by weeping you may go crazy twisted

I cry when I feel I have really, truly, failed someone. And that is probebly the only reason why I cry.

People cry because they are hurt in one way or another. I cry to releive myself of stress, or pain. After I cry, I sometimes feel a tiny bit better, or just get really tired and fall asleep. I seem to get really tired when I cry.

I cry because the world is a sad place, I tend to cry every night because of this fact because it doesn't seem to ever want to get better (I know weird) but that's when I really cry. I was raised that crying is bad and wrong so... shh don't tell my folks.

chiru_shuukakshamaru I cry because the world is a sad place, I tend to cry every night because of this fact because it doesn't seem to ever want to get better (I know weird) but that's when I really cry. I was raised that crying is bad and wrong so... shh don't tell my folks. "Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it." It's off topic, but you shouldn't be crying every night for the world's problems, since they're not your own and crying doens't do anything to alleviate those problems. Don't just take a stand, take action. Our attitude towards life is the only thing in the world we have complete control over, so use it to your advantage.

Um... I don't really cry unless my eyes water when I'm in alot of pain. But my sister cries alot. I try not to tease her but It's really hard when she cries for no apparent reason.
