Yes, I began in the middle, only because a friend bought me my first AB book as a christmas present.
The order in which I read was as follows.
The Killing Dance, Narcissus in Chains, Incubus Dreams, Micah, Guilty Pleasures (currently reading that one)
Ones I've got but not read yet include The Laughing Corpse, Blue Moon. Working on getting the remaining ones then read everything in order, lol

I think that I was relatively good with starting at the beginning of the series. My only problem is over anticipating and then trying to read ahead a chapter, then I get confused so I have to go back and re-read a bunch of chapters. By then, I'm closer to the beginning than the end. sweatdrop But, I'm reading them in order. I just started Cerulean Sins this morning.

Started at the beginning, but I never could get my hands on Lunatic Cafe. Limited book stores and all.
I ordered Danse Macabre online, because I refused to wait! > Damn Canadian shipping system.

why does it seem that everyone starts with NIC?? Is that the most printed one or something?...I started at Guilty Pleasures.
When I check books out, I try to read the very front of the book, or find a front or back page that says the book is a series or says that there are prequels or whatever because I've made the mistake by reading the last published book of a vamp. series (The Vampire Legacy) and then I found out there were more and I was ruined when I went back to read the first few books b/c I knew who died and whatever....that always sux.

I started in order, then i got up to Bloody Bones. Then I bought Cerulean Sins, NIC and Danse Macabre. MY library didn't have the ones inbetween because someones else was reading them, so i reserved it for me after they were done. But the books were sitting on my bookshelf calling my name. I read CS and NIC, and I told myself I should stop. But do I listen? No rofl And I still haven't read Blue Moon, it's missing from the library gonk

I started with The Killing Dance. It wasn't a bad place to start really. Then I realized it was a series and went to the beginning. I've read them all now. heart

I started with Obsidian Butterfly. Its a great starter actually because there is nothing in it that dosent makse sense if you are clueless to Anita's world. It hooked me and I got my hands on Guilty Pleasures as soon as I could. I'm not sure Guilty Pleasures could have drawn me in so quickly, Obsidian butter just ahs a better story line than most of the book. (espically the last like 5...)

I've actually read them in order, surprisingly. I thought it would be best to do it that way and I looked up the order. So ya. I just finished the Killing Dance so now I have to go get the other ones.

Dragon Queen Kimiko Ok, I'm a bad girl... who else besides me started in the middle of the series and is going back and forth from the newest to the beginning n back? I started with Narcissus in chains *flinches* don't hurt me HAHAHA, Narcissus in Chains had so many issues! What a rotten book to start with!
It was easy enough to follow if you paid attention, but it jumped around all over the place and left a lot of things unsaid.
Not to sound rude and cause an uproar, but Laurell's ability to make all sorts of little things seem important and then just throw them away as if they were absolutely nothing just astounds and irritates the hell out of me.
