With the whip of a chain, he would toss it to the side having accomplished what he was after in that instance. Sizing up his opponent now, hed watch before reaching down to grab and arm and head to lift up Ares and push him over to the turnbuckle

Once more, the tides of this fight have changed. Much more dire than they were before, due to the fact every small bump after the strike from the chain would burn deep into the mind and body of Ares.
Just like the one he had just taken. The flesh that was struck by the chain would begin to fire up once Alexander slammed against the turnbuckle padding. Causing the man to curse out and lean awkwardly against the padding for a bit of reprieve.

With Ares up against the turnbuckle for the most part, The eclipse would push back on his opponent for a brief moment before throwing his famed elbow, aiming for the head. Slow paced and calculated strikes has been this Eclipse's style for what it had appeared, and it was one he wasn't backing down from.

Not having much choice in the matter, Ares was stuck in the corner and would feel himself begin to fade as the elbows stacked up inside the corner.

After the hits, GBL would pause his strikes to grab his head and start to pull him to the center of the ring. A twist of the head for a neck breaker, a release of the head and a spin to aim a rolling elbow to the back of his head.

Getting pulled from outside the corner, Ares would get the back of his head caved in by the rolling elbow. Still shaken up by the previous elbows within the corner. His brain bouncing back and forth, possibly dealing with a concussion.

A shake of his arm after the collision, the Eclipse would look to the opponent that nearly had him beaten with that chain but now becoming a mess of a being. Moving over to the ropes, he'd lift the famed chain of fate and begin wrapping it across his elbow, remembering rather vividly on how this very chain cost him a lot of time and his patience. An absolute blow that sent his opponent to the void that day, and now he aimed for a new victim. Gauging his target, he would watch and wait for Ares to begin moving.

Despite his brain being mush, his instincts yelled at him to get up.
To keep fighting even if he wasn't aware of where he was.
Staying down means you lose, and he was not going to lose here tonight.
So Ares would begin to push himself. Even slapping his face and legs to get them to move.

This god of war truly had some fight, and the Eclipse found the respect in that. It remained that he truly had no ill will toward this soul, but his current torments urged for violence. With the chain wrapped arm, GBL would run back against the ropes to rush forward, a leap, and a shot at the head once more with the Hidden Blade he refers to as his Devil Trigger

Ares heard the man charging at him. Spinning fast toward where the movement was, he looked to intercept the Lotus with a superkick.

A hit to the chin and neck, and a crash out to the ring mat. Laying there for a moment, stunned, he hadn't thought the soul before him had fight left in him. Instinct or baited, he'd have to give him props... Once he could snap out from his haze.

His joints felt the solid connection, rattling down his body. A solid it, and the thudding stopped. Dropping to the mat on to his hands and knees, Ares was able to recover for a moment.
Not wanting to stay down to long, Ares looked around him as he rested. Making sure to only take the required time needed.

Coming back to his senses at a pace he'd prefer to be quicker, he would shake his head and roll to his side, holding his jaw. Eyes were darting around looking for his opponent.. or whatever truck just smashed into him from how it felt. Either way, this war god still had some bite left

Sporting massive migraine, Ares seemed otherwise fine. His adrenaline was keeping him going, but he felt the pounding and pressure regardless.
Now that he was aware of his conditions and safe, Ares got to a vertical base in the center of the ring. Looking around the ring. Spotting his chain, but opting to leave the chain alone to go inside one of the corners. Beginning to strip the top turnbuckle pad off.

A quick shake of his head, the Eclipse would begin to stir and get himself back up to his feet. Leaning up on the ropes, he could be seen talking to himself as if conversing with an inner voice. Considering the personas within his mind? More than likely a possibility.
