[Cartwright] (C) vs Trent (Special Referee)

[Cartwright]

Cartwright returns to his feet, his fists getting sore after taking advantage of the situation.

The Boss climbs a turnbuckle and taunts the crowd, asking them what they think of Apex right now to jeers and rude chants.

The bell would sound as the first round would come to a close. Trent would make his way to the ropes as Cartwright seemed to be having the time of his life.

Upon the small break, the cameras would switch between the two men who would be resting, and would catch that Trent had received a small cut from the illegal strikes. Which one would be hard to say after the nasty illegal flurry of closed-handed strikes.

The pain was setting in, but the break would revitalize Trent slightly as he had to take a different approach this round if he wanted to survive.

Rosario asks Cartwright if he wants the break to go ahead.

The Boss looks across the ring at Trent and smirks, a minute isn't going to do that lad any good!

Cartwright stays in his corner, looking calm and confident as he has a drink of water from a plastic bottle, Uisge Source water, something the commoners could never afford.

Trent would stare at Rosario with malice. It didn't matter what he said as he already knew what was most inopportune for him, would probably go down.

Trent would shake his head as he would return his glance to Cartwright.  

[Cartwright]

Rosario tells the bell ringer to do his thing and signal the start of Round Two.

Cartwright cockily approaches the center of the ring, offering Trent a lazy lock-up, now choosing to obey the rules of the match now he has a perceived advantage over the challenger!

Trent would be much more cautious going into this round. As for when Cartwright looked to ease into the lock up he would take a step back. Making sure that Cartwright was not trying to set up another sucker punch  

[Cartwright]

Cartwright laughs as Trent backs away, he is pretty powerful and intimidating after all!

JR: "You can't blame Trent for being cautious after the first round."

King: "This is time wasting, JR!"

Cartwright tells Rosario that he might as well disqualify Trent right now and save everyone some time!

It seems like Cart was truly going for the grapple here. Trent would this time offer the lock up as the match would continue!  

[Cartwright]

Trent finds the courage to offer his own lock-up, but Cartwright backs away to boos.

Cartwright: "I'm not ready yet, give me another minute!"

The Boss says with a smirk, clearly playing with the challenger.

JR: "Now who is time wasting?"

King: "Trent started it JR!"

Cartwright continuing to play games. That's fine. Trent would wait for Cartwright to get ready. The clock was ticking down as both men have yet to lock up yet in this first round!  

[Cartwright]

It's no fun if Trent doesn't get annoyed by The Boss's actions.

Cartwright decides to quickly approach his challenger with a lock-up, trying to rush him in to a bad decision!

And rush Trent would, looking to get the upper hand Trent looked to pull Cartwright in to a side headlock!  

[Cartwright]

Trent is ready and waiting, snatching Cartwright's head and placing him in to a side headlock as their momentum carries them towards the turnbuckle!

Trent would get pulled into the corner while trying to cinch in that headlock deeper. Cutting off air flow as well as he can to shut down the movements of Cartwright.  

[Cartwright]

Trent gets a tighter grip on the headlock, causing Cartwright to struggle as he looks for an escape.

The Boss notices that they are near the turnbuckle, so he looks to use them to bounce and fall backwards as Trent holds on to put the challengers shoulders on to the mat for a pin!
