Still a little rattled from the last house, Miriam approached the next house on the block. She gave a little knock, and it creaked open a little. "Oh heck no," she muttered, backing away. She heard something shuffling inside, and she turned tail (literally) and fled.

Maegara made the motion of knocking and holding out an imaginary bag and smiling. From a bush, off to the side.
Nonougo rolled her eyes, knocked on the door and stared at the person behind it for a second before unleashing an awkward, full fanged smile that would prolly put a predator to shame.

"Ok." Maegara paced in front of her psuedo-Venus. "Let's not smile like....that." she disheartenedly suggested. Taking her hand off her face and glared at Nonougo. "We don't want another hut owner to run, screaming for their life. Ok?" She scooted next to her snakey and tried to show her how to smile.
"Like this."

Maegara picked herself up from the ground where the screaming children had thrown her as they ran for their life.
"Ok. Let's just...not smile. Just hold the bag." She encouraged, wiping the dist from her bum. Maybe they wouldn't throw them to the ground this time.....

Maegara raised her eyebrows at th back of her venusnake. "That actually worked?" She muttered to herself. Eyeing the rest of the line, she sighed and tugged on Nonougo's shoulder. "Wanna hit the town center? We can get some food. I think we've had enough trick or treating for the night. " she said, following the slither of her baby as they marched toward the festival.

Miriam knew the game was called "trick or treat" she was tired of tricks. Cautiously she approached the next house and knocked. An overenthusiastic child opened the door. "Trick or treat?" said Miriam, unsure that the kiddo would be able to help her. "Tweet!" exclaimed the child, who then gave her three tiny handfuls of candy. "Thanks!" said Miriam, surprised, and went on her way.

Frankie lumbered toward the door, holding what looked like an odd combo of a child. She had painted him many colors and was quite proud of her work. He was so precious. Throwing her arm at the door, she lumbered on and held out the multicolored child. She'd pick her arm up afterwards.

Buoyed by her recent sweet success, Miriam bounced up to the next house and knocked. "Trick or treat!" she exclaimed cheerfully. The older Angel at the door gave her a wrinkly smile. "What a lovely costume, dear!" she said, and dropped a whole load of sweets into Miriam's bag. "Wow! Thank you very much!" said Miriam, blushing a little at the attention.
On Miriam went to the next house, which was attended by...another small child? She took a quick look at the exterior of the house to make sure she hadn't come to the same one by mistake. No, this house was a whole different color. Whatever. She shrugged and offered her bag. "Trick or treat!" The child, same as the other one, gave her 3 tiny handfuls of candy.
The next house was dark, and just had a large bowl of candy sitting out on the porch. Miriam debated how many candies to take, as there was no sign or anything, and settled on a bunch of small pieces.
