Axel smiled brightly as Esmeralda walked up to sing with him. As they started singing a proper duet, he turned to face her as he played his guitar. He tappped his foot to the beat, slowly but surely, causing the students listening to clap. He looked to the students and saw that Hunter and Waylon were holding their phones up with pictures of candles moving side to side with grins. Autumn and Meera were holding hands and singing along, quietly as to not overpower Axel and Esmeralda. He smiled and continued singing, trapped in the moment. It felt....right.

Esmeralda was glad he didn't mind her joining him. She smiled as she sang when he turned to face her as he played his guitar. She had never sang with anyone but her father and brothers so this was new to her but she was loving it. She looked to the others hearing Autumn and Meera join in as they sang softly. She smiled facing him again and singing as the class clapped along. She was enjoying this moment, having never had a moment like this before. It felt amazing to sing like this with Axel and to have her new friends joining in and enjoying it as well. Her right hand tapping on her hip to the beat and her left up by her chest moving as she sang smiling at Axel.

Once they finished the duet, the entire choir room was filled with thunderous applause. Axel smiled and bowed his head. He slung his guitar around his body and held Esmeralda's hand up, almost like a winning boxer would, and smiled at her. "You sing beautifully," he admitted, leaning in to say that as the noise in the room was overwhelming. Mister Hardwick silenced everyone with a sharp whistle and everyone resumed talking amongst themselves in quiet conversations. Because the teacher seemed busy, students began to leave their assigned areas and mingle amongst others. Axel walked with Esmeralda back to her area, where the boys followed over.

Waylon enjoyed the performance and was glad that he had mentioned that Axel begin playing. Once they had finished, he began applauding along with the rest of them. He left his seat and moved over to Esmeralda to give hi congratulations. "Very spectacular, music to my ears. As if you were Beyonce and Ed Sheeran themselves on a stage in front of millions. You'd make a killer duet in the concert!" he stated in giddy fashion.
He hoped that they would get to sing together more often, because they had done so well. He was impressed that Axel had more range than he'd expected, in the best way possible. He was also glad that the attention of the room had shifted off him and to someone who wasn't just singing high notes.

Autumn was almost bouncing out of her seat when the two finished their song. When they came over, she threw her arms around Esmeralda. "¡Fantástico! ¡Fue tan bueno! ¡Lo hiciste tan bien! ¡Voz de un angel!" she squealed in Spanish. She waved as the others came over and looked to Meera so she would feel welcome. "I don't think anyone could top that performance if they tried. Real star power there, guys!" she grinned.
While it was true that she would have loved to sing, nothing would top what Axel had started and Esmeralda had finished. Unless there was a group number, nothing would top it. An idea came to mind. "Anyone here familiar with the musical RENT? We should do Seasons of Love as a group," she said.
Esmeralda smiled when they finished their duet and everyone clapped for them. She smiled and laughed looking at Axel when he held her hand up like she won. She leaned in when he wanted to say something. She smiled and blushed softly when he said she sang beautifully. "Thank you" she said smiling.She walked with him back to her group and smiled when Autumn hugged her. "Gracias amiga. Era muy divertido!" she replied smiling. She looked to Waylon when he walked over with the others and smiled. "Thanks Waylon" she said and turned her attention back Autumn. "Thanks Autumn" she said and looked to Axel. "It was a lot of fun. You sing really good and i loved hearing you play the guitar" she said. She looked back to Autumn. "Ive heard of it but I'm not too familiar with the songs. I'll have to look into it now" she said.

Kaihe loved the musical RENT and was an avid fan of it. "If we do sing that, I'd love to sing as Collins. Esmeralda, you'd be an excellent Mimi. And Mark has to be Axel, of course," he stated.
He was hoping that they would be able to sing as a group, because he had a feeling it would be amazing. He hadn't had the opportunity to sing and make his talent known because he wasn't one to be such confident in his own skill. There were some exceptions, but for the most part he had very minor stage fright. He hoped he could overcome it, since he wanted a career on the stage and behind a microphone. If singing as a group and a duet helped him, he'd use it to his advantage.

Esmeralda looked to Meera when she held out her phone for her to look at the sheet music. "Oh thanks" she said and smiled taking her phone to look at the lyrics. "Oh now i remember this song" she said handing Meera her phone back. She looked to Hunter when he spoke then to Kaihe. She smiled and nodded. "I think it would be cool to do a group number" she said.

Axel was happy that reading the sheet music rang a bell for Esmeralda. "Let's do this! Come on!" he exclaimed. He moved to the front of the room with the boys following him. He wanted to just keep singing and singing until his voice gave out. He had his guitar in hand ready to play an acoustic version of the song "Seasons of Love" and knew where to stand. He looked to the girls, a wide grin on his face, ready to begin.

Esmeralda smiled looking at Kaihe when he said he was looking forward to it and had followed Axel up to the front and stood in place. She looked to the girls. "Well come on" she said grabbing their hands and pulling them to the front with her. She smiled taking her place knowing that the rest of the class may have been confused but she was excited to see how they would sound all singing together.

Like Kaihe, he knew of the positions of the characters and he directed Esmeralda to the end, where Mimi would stand. Axel was at the beginning of the line as Mark, followed by Waylon as Angel, Meera as Joanne, himself as Rodger, Kaihe as Collins, Autumn as Maureen, and because no one was singing as Benjamin it went to Esmeralda as Mimi at the end. Once everyone was in position, he looked to Axel to begin playing to start the song off.

She waited for the boys to take her place and was given her marker by Hunter and Kaihe, who seemed to know the most about the musical. She was happy to have the role with the highest notes, surprised Waylon didn't want to steal it, but she was excited to showcase her own range of skill. As Axel began strumming his guitar, a nod from him signaled to begin. Group vocalisations began the song before the lyrics came in, and she was ready.

Waylon began singing along with the others, knowing his lines well. He wanted to embody the character of Angel as much as possible, which wasn't so easy in "Seasons of Love" compared to later songs featuring Angel more predominantly. He looked to the others as they were singing and was happy that they were feeling the song as much as he was. He was really enjoying the moment and wanted to just keep singing on and on and on and on. However, the class was already past the halfway point and the class would likely get back to classwork soon, as Iseul was the last student to get help with the sheet music. He moved with the song, waiting to hear Meera take her solo notes within a few lines.

Autumn was happy with how everything was going, enjoying the time she had with the others. She wished they would be singing the entire musical of RENT because it was one of her favorites of all time. She was anticipating the whole thing, and being able to do it with the people she called friends made it even better. She looked to Esmeralda and hoped that she was having as much fun as she was, but time would tell. She smiled as she sang, content with the moment.

Axel strummed his guitar as he sang, smiling the entire time. It wasn't necessarily what Mark would be doing at the time, but he was enjoying every second of this. He heard each voice, unique in it's own right, harmonizing perfectly together. Their audience clapped along, but they did not sing along this time, perhaps they knew it would ruin the song? Axel didn't care, he was happy enough just to sing in front of people. With a career of a musician in mind, he had to get out there and show his talent.

Esmeralda got into place wherever she was told to stand. She smiled when Axel started to play his guitar and they all started to sing. She was having a lot of fun singing with everyone and watching the other students clap as they sang.
