If there was EVER a time Jay was happy to have allies it was now. Amid the chaotic buffetting of Jeon smacking her brother into the ground a lot had happened, including a giant tentabro slamming a giant tentacle down and slapping both Jay and Jeon aside. While it had DAMN SURE hurt, his Fortitude had saved Jay from being put out of the fight from tanking the hit. He got up, seeing Jeon too was already recovering, and felt his teeth gritting. He'd hate to disturb the great apes to make them fight one of their own, but Jeon was really asking for it. It was then that the soothing sound of the bells, and his wound's stitching themselves up. Jeon seemed to snap at nothing at all, gripping her hair tightly and falling to the ground as if her nature was being corrupted. "Man this is so irritating! I hate not having agency over my own damn body!" Jay huffed out a breath of fresh air realizing his sister had awakened, closing the distance as the still feral looking Jeon snarled a bit. "Bro, I'd say I'm sorry... but we both know I'm not." Jay smirked a little, already making the move they both knew was correct.
Surprising no one, the Shadowy Figure was the endgame and mastermind, and Jay was now + ultra ready to fight with Jeon conscious. Their shortcomings could easily be overcome if they simply put their bodies together, and the moment it was finished, their cloaks and transformation into the first cloak also merged as one.
Suffice it to say a singular A ranked shockwave wasn't enough to give them pause, and seeing Shion do the same thing they figured was correct made them swell. Jeon threw herself ebtween Toso, Tsuki and Kagerou, roaring a shockwave of their own to counteract and neutralize the coming attack.

Kagerou barely fit in a nod to Toso's reply when the giant shadowy beast she had coolly been watching launched its attack. Beneath the hand she rested on Toso's body, she could feel the contractions of his defense forming even as he spoke. From her birds eye view of the scene below, she could make out in her peripheral vision that there was no more chaos occurring down below, save for the settling down of Toso's destruction, and from that, she could infer that the twin kages had both recovered. Her ears... were botched by the banshee's wail, it's screech ruining them much akin to a flashbang ruining one's eyes. Still, she couldn't imagine there'd be more than one attack coming, so she just hung on tight and allowed the eventual double layer defense that formed to protect her as she focused on hanging on tight and controlling her breathing. A good support was preemptive rather than reactive, but as it stood right now, Kagerou needed a breather, for her chakra and, again, that once more swelling urge to bare her fangs and leap into the fight. Or was it to take flight? Kagerou was uncertain, and she certainly wasn't going to pay enough heed to her animal instincts to figure it out. She just understood that the appearance of a big, scary boss triggered the elevated fight or flight instincts of her wolf side.
"Don't... throw me," only through gritted teeth did Kagerou give her answer to Toso. As she had observed previously, Jay and Jeon no longer needed intervention.
Focus on other events dictated that Kagerou would be utterly oblivious to Tsuki's approach until she was embraced from behind. Kagerou's hackles, in this case her hair, were already raised because of the banshee screech, but they raised even more at the sudden sensation of something warm and wet on her neck. An involuntary whine of both surprise and complaint squeaked out, and Kagerou turned around to see the... unfamiliar perpetrator.
No, familiar perpetrator. She recognized that voice, and her demeanor shifted appropriately from wary calculation to relieved recognition. "Tsuki?" she breathlessly whispered a question, rhetorical and one that was likely lost between the sentences Tsuki was saying about taste and chakra.
There wasn't much of an explanation, but Kagerou understood, all the way down to what those eyes she'd never heard or seen of meant. She ran one hand through the S-ranks hair and fur, unable to force her to stay, but hoping the "reward" would convince her to wait long enough, while with the other she untied the ribbon from her collar. She had nothing to cover those ringed eyes, but she could at least try to help Tsuki hide her identity by tying her ribbon over the lower half of Tsuki's face as a sort of makeshift mask.
With much guilt but very little regret, after she finished tying the mask in place, the junior medic pointed at the the gigantic boss and did what was best to do in this situation. "You see the giant shadow man? Look at how many people are attacking it, he must taste the best. If you don't hurry, they might not leave any for you. But! Before you go, let me tell you a hint the others don't know. If you don't say anything, you'll get more chances to taste the big thing's chakra. Okay? Do you understand? Now, go fetch... girl..." Ah, maybe she'd winged it a little too far, but alas, what was done was done. She was mostly confident that Tsuki wouldn't have minded the manipulation. Heck, she could even be grateful for it, but even then... Manipulating someone she respected didn't exactly make Kagerou feel good. [2/6 Comfort Song]

By the moment, things were certainly progressing straight into out of this world crazy. One thing was transforming into another in the moment, and than out of nowhere the group could hear a voice echoing out from within the wind nearby. It was eerie, and rather creepy, but it was a sign of something to soon befall everyone. The sound that suddenly came..wasn't so fun for someone with rather sensitive hearing, as Hailee covered her ears with one eye closed during the shrieking like some squealing banshee. That was pretty unnecessary.. not like whatever it was would really care either way. Considering the business of holding her ears, she failed to protect herself from the blockade of wind storm, shoving her back a good couple feet but she managed to slide her feet deep into the trail, stopping her from flying any further. However, Shion thankfully got between the wind and the debris that was swiftly hurling there way, blocking defensively as she watched the pieces fall out in front of them. "Thanks for that" Hailee grinned cheerfully, though she could already sense how truly powerful this enemy was going to be. A problem? Maybe. That didn't mean anyone was backing down though! A group vs just one! Seemed easy enough to pull out victorious. Numbers were not against them after all, and that was a pretty big quality in battle.
The surrounding group was already getting the smack down on this enemy cult dude..thing. Hailee knew from here on out things could get hairy, but she knew that coming in. And if she was going to progress her own skills any and prove her strength, than this was how it would be best done. Using her chakra drawn into Amorette, the fox took on the copy of her own person. As the others rushed the enemy down, Hailee followed in turn as she spun with her counterpart in a mini tornado, rushing towards the creepy cult dude with her speed in tact from using earlier. If it hit, many beast like strikes would hit the target at full force. However, she was prepared to pull out should something take a major turn of events.

THE BEAST
The beast's form flickered momentarily as the wave of violence brought on by the pair of kunoichi and the large cat struck true, ripping wisps of smoke away into the cold night air. The beast made no effort to dodge the blows; its focus was instead tunneled squarely on the destruction of the life around it. From its base, several large, smokey tentacles lashed out at Shion and Hailee. One of the creature's arms buckled and cracked, straightening outwards towards Jeon and the company he was defending. In rapid succession, three blackened orbs of smoke soared towards the Kage, threatening to wash over the party in the same destructive force that laid waste to the temple. Finally, the creature's other arm would snap into an inhuman angle, lauching a singular ball of energy at the now present Unki.
Hailee's eagerness to join the fight, even against impossible odds, filled Shion with a roaring surge of energy. She couldnt let this kid show her up, especially not in front of the boss. The lashing tentacles served little threat to her as she effortlessly wove between the shadowy stalks, putting her natural agility on full display. Unfortunately, due to the constant nature of their assault, and sheer numbers, Shion would be unable to protect Hailee from this attack; she'd have to dodge this herself. As Shion spun around the base of The Beast, the Nibi's blue flames flickered to life around her palms once more. Both hands reached out towards her enemy once more, letting loose two more explosive blasts, sending flames spiraling around the beast's insides.
From up above, Ukukwala effortlessly dodged the debris, using the airborne chunks to propel himself the beast. With his final leap, the mighty tiger lashed out at the beast's head, swiping once, twice, a third time as he ripped through one side of the smokey monstrosity and out the other.

tabToso would withdraw his tentacles after them proving to have pierced the shadow but the corresponding results seemed...lacking. There were no cries of anguish or signs of retreat more over it appeared as though the attack was effective to some degree but not enough to be considered viable. At least this is what was drawn from his analysis. Even Shion er the Core nins assault with her companion was lack luster comparatively the scenario feeling as merely leaving chinks in a finely plated armor as oppose to penetrating it. In retaliation Toso's lance like tentacles would form an X formation as they then spread outwardly in a definitive cross cut like manner causing the air to bend and the two smoke grenades to disperse creating a resonating shockwave that dug into the ground causing it to rise and crack via sheer air pressure. Simultaneously however, the ink on his limbs while immune to decay from their hardening, dispersing the two impacts caused the solid state of them to buckle causing the faux ink artillery to fall apart. He had dealt with the attack meant for himself and Kagerou, the twins and Unki would have to fair for themselves. Despite the impressive display his arms were certainly going to be sore tommorrow.
"Kagerou it seems gaseous in nature, it may also very well be illusory. I'm not entirely certain just how much physical attacks are affecting it. Perhaps wind or something similar would prove more effective blug. Although said options aren't available to me outright currently. blug. I will attempt to improvise. Do hold on." Now being produced on two of his tentacles would be an inky black coat that began to twist and contort until they shaped themselves into two definitive spirals. The spirals would then begin to spin rapidly creating an air current of suction force between its ridges similar to miniature tornadoes in the palm of ones hands only in this case the hands being tentacles. The whirring sounds affiliated with power tools and quotes about piercing the heavens abundant. With Shion having attacked the creatures center and the lion its face the drills would focus on the girth that was the creatures sides hopefully in a manner that wouldn't have the air currents being produced by his giant drill hands becoming a detriment to Shion and the Lion. Seeing as the last thing Toso wanted on his resume was gibbing two people and turning them into a gorey mush equivalent to having been shoved into a planes turbine.
He would then replicate the similar effect on two of his front tentacles, though smaller they would pack just as much punch if not a slightly less powerful suction. He would target the creatures lower half, in short the squids assault was an attempt at pulling something that was made of smoke apart in four cardinal directions. For the most part this was all he could do in this moment, his attacks that he could follow up with would and could be potentially devastating but imprecise and indiscriminate, and rather than be a greater hindrance to his allies he'd opt to try and take a more precise approach. At least for now, seeing as if he wasn't in control this entire area would likely have been melted and or in the process of melting and everybody would be likely have been additionally naked.

The monster, beast, mass of whatever darkness it was, confirmed to Unki she wasn't the only one here. Her gritting growl turned into a bark as she had to dodge again. Again, she had no idea who else was here and had to assume they were on her side, to some degree. Unki saw a path along the wall from her spot below. From there, she came to conclusion of what she must do and how she will do so to ultimately come back to this spot. Ideally, Unki wanted to make a loop.
She ran. A burst into what she didn't realize was her speed led her paws onto the rock wall and up along its surface. When she reached the top, Unki jumped and slammed her fore-paws together. Her jump, even at its peak, didn't nearly bring her to be leveled enough with the monster's head. None the less, launching a fireball above would lessen the blow for whoever could have been nearby. She didn't want to hurt her mystery friends. From her person, although obscured as to where, a small fireball erupted in front of her. Before dropping, as the yellow furry blur that she was, Unki launched the fireball directly into the beast. With impact, at the slightest, the fireball should ignite a firestorm.
In the end, she didn't actually follow through with moving in the loop she imagined. The direction of her leap made sure to bring her straight up and straight down. Still, when her paws touched the earth again, she ran right back into the direction she came. No way she wanted to be near her own firestorm or in close range should it end up chucking rocks at her again.

In their heightened state of power, awareness and chakra the twins were akin to Meerkats as they watched all of the goings on. Jay was already preparing handseals the moment that the two of them landed from the shockwave hit the coming attack. To see the incoming smoke attack and react was well within reason for them, and as Toso dealt with the attacks coming from the twins, Jay had a plan to deal with the smoke attack coming at him for Jeon. Immediately, an electric Gyroscope began to float around the outside of their cloaked form, two rings rotating with large bulbs of lightning maintaining a solid defense around the snarling form of the Arashikage. The smoke attack was dispatched simply enough.
Jeon watched the... ball of golden fur that went flying past and attacked the smoky monster, and at the same time Toso's tentacles formed their drills. The both of them felt challenged, though honestly Jeon felt it in her core that as the alpha of the village she needed to show them up. If anyone was looking, they would blink and miss it. The powerful inferno from Unkinu raged on, and through it the cloaked Arashikage flew forth. With the pronounced muscles and cloak staining their skin, turning them into something like small oxes, it wasn't surprising that they cared little for the damage the sphere of intense heat would have caused them. In midair, the two of them found their footing on a step of light that materialized at the behest of the Gyuki himself, and the pair launched from it, spinning in a deadly drill of electricity, powered up from the previous use of a Raiton technique. As a taijutsu attack, the skill's range was increased by a solid 15 feet around the drill itself due to the demon's liberal influence over their combat. The result was that, flying right at the chest of the monster, was a massive ultraviolently spinning drill. Buffs from the demon: Instead of 5 feet, now the bonus shockwave range from tai and buki attacks reaches to fifteen feet. Following the use of a raiton technique the host remains electrically charged, giving their next tai or buki attack extra damage Equal the rank of the technique. Lasts until an attack is used, which consumes the buff. Considered a spiritual technique where defense is concerned, and will break through chakra based barriers without stopping the actual tai or bukijutsu attack.
Raiton attacks can be increased by one rank in power so long as the demon pays the cost of the technique as well as the host, increasing their power by a rank.
Demon enhanced taijutsu and bukijutsu treat a struck target's fortitude as if it were moderately lower, and treats heavy armor as if it were medium, medium armor as if it were light, and ignores light armor. Layered armor however is simply treated as though it is the highest rank of armor, ignoring the rest.

Chidori Nagashi [ Thousand Birds Current ] Rank: A Boosted to S Official Description: Chidori Nagashi is a Ninjutsu technique developed by Uchiha Sasuke out of the original Chidori technique. Instead of merely focusing the electrical force to his or her body, Sasuke is able to extend it outside of his or her body and through objects which he is holding. This allows him to create a protective zone around his or her person. This zone of electricity can shock and immobilize his or her foes, presumably by attacking their nervous system. Used in conjunction with his or her Kusanagi sword, the blade becomes almost unstoppable. It takes on Chidori's natural ability to cut through anything which stands in its path, allowing the sword to strike its target with ease. The ultra-violent rotation created can tear through multiple enemies, rending them apart with just the slightest touch.
So TLDR they are a drill of intensely loud and powerful lightning, probably churning the fire inwards towards the shadow creature if our dm is feeling merciful. Oh, they took A rank damage too I guess, cause they jumped through the flames.]

From atop Toso, Kagerou saw the ink balls aiming at the key hitters. Toso's tentacles raised to perform a cross cut to block the spheres heading in his direction, Kagerou watched from atop as the kage's also prepared for and successfully blocked the attack headed to them. Okay, so far so good.
Tentacles swiped down to defend against the oncoming blast as Kagerou continued to survey the battlefield with hardly a hiccup. To the side, a third target was being attacked with smoke. Following the attack, she saw a golden good boy (or rather, girl) deftly side step and close in.
Toso explained his theory about the monster's weaknesses. "Indeed," Kagerou just barely managed to get out before Toso's techniques nearly suctioned her off his body. Just nearly. She caught herself before anything irreversible happened, and once she got her footing, she was gone with hardly a word. Just a pat on Toso, the ringing of her bells, and then the disappearance of her weight.
She could see the kage's collaborating for a close range strike. She knew nothing about golden girl, but she could only assume that closing in meant a fight response, so a melee strike. While Unki ran from her own firestorm and the kages created their own reckless, very flashy attack, Kagerou shunshined to Hailee's location at the foot of the beast. As always, a smile graced her greeting, wordless though it was. Right beside her landing, Hailee would feel some minor injuries being healed by Kagerou's appearance. [Eiseijutsu: Shunshin no Jutsu [ Medical Release: Instant Movement Technique ]]
The sound of ringing bells pierced through the din of attacks as Kagerou landed, her arms and hands sweeping in a single graceful movement. As part of that movement, one of Kagerou's arms wrapped around Hailee, holding the genin close as she spread and activated two tags of elemental sealing [Godai Houin no Michi [ Element Sealing Method ]]. One, held to the enemy, would attempt to seal the smoke it was made of. Toso's theory had spawned this theory of Kagerou's, that perhaps she could seal a part of it. The other was in the hand still wrapped protectively across Hailee, and Kagerou held it in front as it activated to attempt a sealing of Unki's firestorm. This one, she intentionally kept the effects low, wanting only to seal away the part of the aoe, fire and rocks and all, that raged around Hailee and, now that Kagerou was right next to her, the green haired medic. If this didn't work or if the enemy's tentacles continued the attack despite the blows from all direction, then at least she was wrapped around Hailee and able to protect the younger kunoichi with her body. The onslaught of attacks reached the predator, but by means of destroying the beast seemed rather confusing. There attacks didn't even seem to leave a scratch, completed unscathing this shadowy monster. It had to have some sort of weak point somewhere, but finding it would become pretty difficult on its own. After the attacking, Hailee was forced to back off as its tentacle arms swung at her and Shion, whom was able to easily evade. Out of much time to think, Hailee defended herself by using her own arm like a shield, covering any of her most vital body parts. Slowly, she was learning what exactly she was dealing with, and had to be smart about how she maneuvered around the speed. Speed boost didn't mean you could avoid every single attack, you just had to maneuver around all attacks. She glanced at the others making there attacks, wishing to help out when suddenly Kagerou had fallen before her followed by the sound of chiming bells, without any warning as her own face looked a bit surprised. Any injuries she had acquired would soon heal immediately, feeling a tingling sensation but it was rather pleasant. Hailee would glance at her injuries which now have healed up, before glancing to look at Kagerou with a slight grin, realizing it was her whom had done that. At least now she knew she could use healing jutsu. "Thank you for that!" She grinned, happily and thankful.
Than, without much warning, Kagerou seemed to wrap her arms around her in a friendly hug, which was more surprising to say in the least. Was..was this really the best time for that? "Um, Kage, are you okay?" Hailee would question, generally worried about the female. It sort of felt like she was protecting her, forcing herself to smile weakly. "You don't need to protect me. I'll be fine, I promise. I don't want you to get hurt multitasking like that." She spoke truthfully, hoping Kagerou would understand, for her own protection of course. She didn't want to be the reason anyone got hurt, and with a beast so crazy strong like this one; she couldn't help but worry about everyone's well being no matter what.
The tiger's assault on the beast proved fruitless. In one side, out the other, and right into the grasp of the Beast. The behemoth took the proud cat in its grasp and slammed it to the ground like a child's toy. A pained roar erupted from Ukukwala as he vanished in a puff of smoke, returning to the Pridelands to recover. In the midst of dealing with its feline foe, the beast's attention slipped from the ninja at its base for the slightest of moments. In this brief window, the dulled, blue flames of Shion's explosion ripped their way up the stalk of the shadowy attacker. The Beast reared back in agony, arching itself backwards as another banshee's wail of pain threatened to shred the ears of the current party. But just then, before the Beast could recover, the massive, spiraling tentacles of the Bloop Ninja struck true, lancing the beast's upper torso and pinning it in its current position. The foggy monster's eye's glared a fiery hot red as it leveled its arm towards the squid. A massive ball of smoke, monumental in size, began to form. The evil, chaotic chakras of the beast coalesced into an energy ball so massive that it cast a shadow over the lowly ground-dwelling ninja below. This was the end for the beloved squid... or so it seemed. Once again taking advantage of the beast's averted attention, Kagerou swooped into action. Her seals quickly spread out around the base of the Beast, locking away its chakra and sealing off the energy blast moments before it had reached its apex. The Beast let out another wail of anger. It was broken, beaten, and pinned; most of all, there was nothing it could do to stop what came next. From seemingly out of the blue, a scorching ball of infernal chakra streaked its way through the night, casting a bright yellowish-orange hue over the fight. Trailing close behind, and gaining fast, was the spiraling twin kages. The pair ripped through the night air quite literally in a display of destruction as beautiful as it was deadly. Arms of white lighting reached out to dance in the warm, orange glow of the flames as they pierced the fireball. Rather than disperse the attack however, the whirlwind generated by the pair's speed sucked the flames into themselves to join their embrace in a glorious dance of fire and lightning. A thousand birds sang as the Kages ripped their way through the exposed breast of the beast... then all fell silent. The smoke that made up the beast's physical form began to reshape itself, but something was off; its movements were slow and without meaning. The red sky crackled with the fierce roar of thunder and the beast's form continued to shrink in on the point of contact made by the kages. The smoke quickly began to pick up pace, more and more until the towering form of the smokey behemoth folded in on itself one last time before erupting into one last burst of energy. A final ghastly shriek ripped at the present party's ears as a wave of force washed over them, though it would not be enough to sway even the weakest among them. The Beast had been vanquished.
The dark clouds began to fade as the red storm quelled. The sun showed itself once more in the sky, casting a revealing light on the devastation caused by the invader. The temple grounds lay in ruins, but not all was lost. The central building was in shambles, but the outlying structures remained relatively undamaged; a faint glimmer of hope and a sign that things could still return to normal in Arashigakure.

The Core-nin braced herself, digging her heels into the ground and gripping the sides of her hood, as the the final energy wave washed over her. Victory was theirs, and boy did she want to revel in it. Of course she couldn't right now, she was on the job. Now was not the time to celebrate; not for her, at least. Muscles aching and bones screaming out in pain, Shion shuffled her way over to Hailee. The little Genin had heart. Maybe she was the one she was looking for? Did this kid have what it took the handle the Wild Cats? Only one way to find out. Shion glared at the child from behind her mask and barked out, "Hey Kid! You got guts... I like that. I got an offer for you. Be at this location in a week and we can discuss the terms." She'd slip the genin a scrap of paper that she had hastily scribbed "The Drop District" on. There was no specific location noted, simply a vague suggestion.
Once the young girl took the paper, she'd approach the Kages. Surely just as exhausted as the rest of them, Shion figured she'd keep her business with the pair brief. "Sirs... Um... You'll have my full report tomorrow". On that note, Shion darted off into the distance, mind on the future... and the a** whooping Ukukwala would surely give her the next time they spoke.

tab Now that the heat of the situation had died down. Smoke rose with the tainted chakra that once filled Toso dispersing. In a crumpled heap of a growling stomach would be the aftermath for the squid man. "Bluuuuuh. It's over." It was a damn shame he couldn't relish in what was essentially a fireworks display of power filled with colors to juxtapose the destruction of the black thing that had tainted the village. The man didn't even have the strength in him to shunsin to Hailee and Kagerou. While he wasn't mentally or physically exhausted per say he was indeed in a state where he desired to do anything but move currently. He had intended to cook for Kagerou and Hailee and was now in by no means in the mood to do so. Heres was hoping his staff hadn't killed each other...but something said that he'd likely have to have an emergency restock invoice to fill. Parties and celebrations would have to wait. There was a lot of damage control to do thanks to mr spooks. Although he wouldn't be so rude as to leave without a word. With his heap of himself hunched he'd raid a single arm in the air in proclamation. Then would state loud enough to be heard from his distance albeit still maybe a bit difficult to hear. "Here's to victory Bloop. Ah, now if you all don't mind I'll be taking my leave now. Bloop. Hailee, Kagerou, what say we have our celebratory dinner later once things are back up to speed. Bloop." With these words he sort of just..sunk into the ground like he melted. Unfortunately with is prostrated state of being any glances at a soon to be naked Unki would unfortunately be missed.

The beast suffered from the elemental onslaught and appeared to let the whole world know about it. The force expelled by its demise made Wuffki cover her ears and lower her head. She nearly lost her footing. Unki had closed her eyes. She felt safe enough to avert her sights to save them from debris the beast's final waves may have kicked up. She didn't see the yellow fur being effortlessly blown off her legs and torso as her purple robe flowed with the force of the wave to shortly settle thereafter. Her paws were gone. The awkwardly angled joints were gone, as were the claws, unusual set of teeth, and the ears she pressed her hands against where gone. Her long, un-braided, yellow hair was plentiful just inches beyond her shoulder.
When she opened her eyes, a great majority of the hair on her head had fallen forward and she moved her hands from being pressed on the top of her head. Unki raised her head, looked onto her palms, touched the tip of her nose and smiled. Her figure was furry no more. Her figure was furry no more! A chance breeze reminded her of the openness of her untied robe. The backpack from her shoulders held the key for all and everything to resolve this problem: sash, shoes, pants, vest, under garments, accessories, and all of her weaponry (she hadn't truly appreciated what sort of an amazing backpack she had) ! Unki grabbed the lining of her robe and pulled them together, over, and under. She stood considerably still while one hand felt around her person to measure how low her robe hung exactly. It's been a while since she hadn't worn pants. One hand awkwardly raided her backpack, which she had flung around her shoulder and onto the ground, while the other held her robe. Unki frantically pulled out two crumpled white shoes and a few other, less wrinkled, pieces of clothing before scuffing over to hide behind displaced rocks. Well, to hide anything lower than her elbow. There was no way she was going to vacate the scene without clothing.
It was uncanny how she was able to dress herself so quickly. She wasn't completely embarrassed more so that the issue was a lack in wanting to accidentally allow too many mishaps to happen (considering the wolf endeavor was a mishap. The earlier innocent pond turned geyser was a disaster, not a mishap). Much was what it was, appearance wise, despite her long yellow hair was free and far from looking braided to any degree. Unki hugged her backpack and tiptoed as much as she could down a damaged stone wall, to the lower path whence she came.

The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers. Offensive Style: Stepless : Rank: A :: Training :: The practitioner has become so used to performing quick and silent steps that they scarcely realize that they themselves are moving. The user's speed and reflexes are mildly boosted.

Thread Walking :: Rank: C :: Training:: By using Chakra to focus the mind, the user becomes able to balance enough on thin platforms to use Bukijutsu techniques without any penalties. Covers only balancing on solid structures at least one inch wide, not moving or unstable structures. Also allows the user to balance and move on wires during its activation

Dexterity: Two Halves :: Rank C :: Training:: Basic training in the style involves using the techniques one at a time, but this is slightly problematic when it comes to higher-level movements. To increase overall skill and proficiency with the weapons of this style, the user trains by using both sticks simultaneously instead of in the disjointed way that the early stages emphasized. After mastering this training, the user gains a slight boost to speed for all techniques in the style. Dexterity: Footwork :: Rank B :: Training:: The user practices all known techniques again, this time incorporating basic footwork to add to the fluidity and practicality of the style. After mastering this training, the user gains a moderate bonus to movement speed while using any technique from this style or tonfa, twin sticks, or hard physical Formless Style techniques.

It was over. Kagerou breathed a sigh of relief as she felt the urges drip away and leave her. She saw the others, likewise, returning to their former states. With this, things were fine. "Yes, I'm fine," Kagerou said as much as she looked down at Hailee. Only a few of the smaller pieces of debris had made it between her two seals. Some deft sleight of hand, and the seals that had sealed part of Unki's technique and part of the smoke beast's body were slipped into her sleeves for later use.
Hailee would just get a pat on the head and then Kagerou was off just as Bastet approached. In a swirl of debris, she had shunshined to Tsuki, likely hailing her with even more debris upon her arrival. She brushed the intentionally rude entrance aside as a mistake, stumbling and tripping right into Tsuki with a short, "Oof," followed by an apology, "Really sorry, Tsuki," as she looked up into Tsuki's eyes, no doubt making eye contact. It was still there, the rings within Tsuki's purple eyes reflected in Kagerou's clear, red eyes. Hopefully no one else would notice before Tsuki would make out the reflection.
Kagerou didn't waste any time in picking herself off of Tsuki, nor did her smile betray any worry. Well, except for a quick frown when Toso sank into the ground. He looked like he didn't have any energy despite his earlier cheer. Then again, emotions were always hard to read on the squid.
"Ehm, Tsuki. By the way," Kagerou wasn't going to stop worrying, but she couldn't just wallow in it, "About earlier..." She left the sentence hanging in the air. Was she going to talk about the eyes? About Tsuki licking her? Something worse? Naaaah. "The kages all but threw themselves on the squid. They probably got hurt, but I think it's better if you rather than I give them a check up." Kagerou flashed a mischievous smile, and before Tsuki could ask anything she gave a simple farewell, "Then I'll be off," and made a snappy exit.
Avoiding the potential backlash for her little fun aside, there was so much to do now. About the only place she had any authority to begin and organize her own efforts was the hospital, so it was to there she went.

Hailee was glad to hear that Kagerou was fine, as long as she truly meant it and was not denying any part of it. With the others combined efforts, they were able to vanquish the evil and save the village. Her eyes would slant a bit in annoyance as Kage petted her like a dog of some sort, but soon after she ran off before the girl could even make her complaint. Although, Bastet soon approached her, praising her with bravery, as this fight were easily compared to a fight to the death with how powerful it really was. Despite that, she really wasn't able to help all that much. But she was glad they won in the end. Placing those thoughts to the side, it seemed Bastet had a special request to meet her elsewhere within a weeks notice. Unaware of what it really was, she didn't bother to question, just go with it. She'd learn soon enough upon meeting her again, and in any case she called it an offer, so it could turn out to be really amazing. "An offer?? Ah well, I'll be sure to meet you there than!" Hailee grinned in acceptance, taking the slip happily in her own fingertips. Reading it over, the name of the location she wished to meet her was written in stone. The Drop District hm? Sounded like a good place, and truthfully now she felt like she couldn't contain her ever growing excitement.
Hailee's attention soon focused towards Toso, whom had wished to celebrate there cause, but for at a later time when things were back to normal. She could feel her stomach growling, when was the last time she'd even ate a small morsel? It felt so long, uughh she couldn't wait, but maybe she'd just grab a snack on her way through traveling. "Sounds good to me! You better keep that promise!!" She grinned happily, but remembering to meet up with Bastet very soon within the weeks notice. Certainly things were going much better now. As Toso sunk away into the ground, Hailee skipped off to go get herself some food. After that, she'd take a couple relaxing breaks here and there, before meeting Bastet at the drop district. From that point on, things could only get better. [Exits to Drop district]
Kagerou barely fit in a nod to Toso's reply when the giant shadowy beast she had coolly been watching launched its attack. Beneath the hand she rested on Toso's body, she could feel the contractions of his defense forming even as he spoke. From her birds eye view of the scene below, she could make out in her peripheral vision that there was no more chaos occurring down below, save for the settling down of Toso's destruction, and from that, she could infer that the twin kages had both recovered. Her ears... were botched by the banshee's wail, it's screech ruining them much akin to a flashbang ruining one's eyes. Still, she couldn't imagine there'd be more than one attack coming, so she just hung on tight and allowed the eventual double layer defense that formed to protect her as she focused on hanging on tight and controlling her breathing. A good support was preemptive rather than reactive, but as it stood right now, Kagerou needed a breather, for her chakra and, again, that once more swelling urge to bare her fangs and leap into the fight. Or was it to take flight? Kagerou was uncertain, and she certainly wasn't going to pay enough heed to her animal instincts to figure it out. She just understood that the appearance of a big, scary boss triggered the elevated fight or flight instincts of her wolf side.
